<img align="right" src=http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Pindarots/10/TomDwan.jpg style="margin:5px; border: 1px solid black;">Tom "Durrr" Dwan is (one of) the most talented player(s) that does not have a bracelet yet, but Tom thinks this is gonna change soon. He has taken some big money bets on achieving his first bracelet(s).

Dwan said he'd take 3.25:1 odds to anybody that he's gonna make a bracelet this year, and 3:1 odds if the WSOPE counts as well. Some other bets are included as well, including a 1.3:1 bet that he gets more cashes than any player of choice. Here's what he posted on 2+2:

    "I’m taking the following bets:

3.25-1 on getting a bracelet this year, london counts
2-1 on getting 2 bracelets in 3years, london counts as a chop (if i win 2+ in vegas i win, if i win 8 in london 0/1 in vegas we wash)
me vs ivey getting 2-1, london counts, if we both win a bracelet its a wash (even if i win 8 and he wins 1 its a wash or vice versa)
me vs negreanu getting 2-1, london counts, if we both win a bracelet its a wash (even if i win 8 and he wins 1 its a wash or vice versa)
most cashes at wsop (with or without london) vs anyone of your choosing i get 1.3-1

if you wanna bet 5k+ and will escrow (or have someone i trust enough to vouch) message me on 2p2 and we can bet.

I’ll look before the 50k starts, and book bets then, if we bet after the 50k i’ll need 3.6-1 or some other solution (could play a bellagio prelim w/ similar # of people etc) for the 1year bet, and 2.1-1 for 2 in 3years.

If theres any crazy need for arbitration (harrah’s closes wsop after 12 events etc) all bets will be settled at the same rate as the 2-3 biggest bets i have (which in most fields will probably be with ivey/negreanu etc)"

Previously we saw Dwan play only the biggest and most prestigious events at the WSOP, but with these bets on, he's willing to make some changes: “I wouldn’t normally be playing the $1,500 events and stuff, but this year I’ll play some of them at least. Well, I’m probably going to play all of them and see what happens.”

“It would be worth at least $2 million this year to win a bracelet, maybe more,” Dwan said. That should be some nice motivation, although it's obviously less than Phil Ivey's $5mln bracelet bet that started last year. Ivey is looking to win at least 1 bracelet in this or next year's WSOP to add another $5 million dollar to his already impressive bankroll.

The chances of actually winning a bracelet in any event is so slim... Bad odds for Dwan, IMO.

TheHuHu4 coming soon :)

3:1 is just too little + he is prolly going to play some juicy cash games too and be tired. And also, even though he is Tom Dwan, i think his edge in tourneys would be def lower.

Tom Dwan on the road to becoming Phil Ivey

Will he only play NLHE, PLHE PLO ? Is he good at the others forms of poker ?
Seems that those fields are so huge... while Ivey won his 2 bracelets last year in "little" events.

sorry for shitty english.

he has huge bets on getting a bracelet, so not playing the other games would be insane even if he's downright awful at them which he's certainly not

Durrr's record with Tourneys is quite shocking to say the least. However knowing him, I am sure he has been doing some sick training on smurf accounts or something before making these bets. Maybe Durrr just wanted a new challenge. I think he might do it. Not gonna be easy of course. But if I had to choose between Ivey or Durrr getting a barcelet, I know who I would snap call!

had i known he was gonna put that much effort into it, i would have picked him in my fantasy pool

As stated, probably EV-, but this makes him motivated to play his best in tournaments that otherwise is pocket change.

I've heard durrr can see your holecards by smelling your fear.

I guess I am highly uneducated. I had always thought Durrr was just a sick cash game player that could never transition his dominance to tournaments.
