I know hes a good player but that looks like a pretty random river shove to me, what do you think the reasoning is? |

Well just a rough guess but if he checks you probably check behind with A2-A4, KXcc or like KQ so might aswell shove and get some light calls. plus he probably thought you wouldnt fire too many third barrels on this river. |

there is little merit to that thinking
if he is not going to fold that means he thinks he's going to get value from bluffs by calling.
his shove did not manage to fold out better, so it's a question of weather he gets more value from shoving or calling.

yea he basically shuts me out of bluffing and for value its pretty questionable too.
maybe he did try to rep the KK, thats pretty insane tho |
