I'm sure his river bet was a bluff

Or he thought he had a straight

he probably bet turn because he has top pair and lol it's a 3bet pot, then when you check/call he doesnt expect you to ever have anything good.

its a really bad play with no good reason behind it, obviously. If you're gona step down to 1/2 you gotta expect this now and again hehe.

I always like to give the benefit of the doubt, of course it can always be some button clicking but still I try to understand the reasoning behind it if its there, even if its bad ^^

hmm his sizing is very bad for what he tried to do,even if there's no hand that you beat on the river

his play is preety standard postflop, except for the preflop call, i'd also bet the turn almost alwyas with his hand ;-0

lol. It's possible that he thought he was valuetowning you, because, after all , why would you ever c/c turn with tp or better? arrr innnnn
I'd ask him if it was a bluff and probably assume the opposite of his answer

surely this can't be value on the river?, calling 3bet from cutoff = very strong range here. This has to be a bluff, would be alot better as a bluff with better bet sizing, need more to shove on the river for people to fold stuff.

Wtf his turn bet is a good valuebet, river is probably somewhat bad without history but it creates a decent history to begin with.

Betting turn and checking behind river would be standard to me. If you're a retarded calling station he could be shoving hoping for a call from TX or something, but mostly checking behind river would be fine I guess.

Turn valuebet is totally standard. Preflop is probably a fold though.

I dont know guys, its pretty questionable value when he isnt beating any Jx, my c/c range is stronger than J8 but lets say he also gets added value from folding out AK and potentially getting it in vs AQ but on the river thats gone too. And why is he snap doing it too -.-

TalentedTom    Canada. Oct 01 2011 19:42. Posts 20070

its extrreley unlikley that 2 people flop the same top pair in a 3b pot ;-0 the odds against are 7.5 : 1, im more then happy to take my chances on teh turn (aassuming i flat pre with J8s)
