because i would have called the river if he bet like 2 or 3 - but he virtually potted the river and i figured my queen can't be good - he thinks one last chance to get some value for his nuts... that's how i saw it anyway - but that's why i am interested in your opinions - so please more if you guys can

i also figure in this situation - i've got nothing invested and would prefer to lose a 3 dollars rather than 8 when my gut tells me i'm beat. I was like 70% sure i had best hand on the turn and wanted a cheap showdown - woulda called 1/2 pot or a bit more (ie; 70% sure) but meh not this river bet...

is my reasoning sound or wats up? I'm definately not playing weaktight like i used to - and i don't necessarily think this is weak - i think it's just w/e really... funny situation though cause i actually hit my fucking card

He might just as easily be thinking "Shit I have 3 high I better bet or I'll lose >____<"

nicksson - I would have called a river bet of 3.5 with my queen. lol

I would call a river bet of 2-3 probably if it was a 2 of spades or similar brick yes

you really think someone would do that with the queen hitting on the river and that board like it is - and btw he insta bet the river 5 too...

I definately think he either has the nuts or close or absolutely nothing. He doesn't have a 6, 7 or Q.. i don't think there - he would look for a showdown with a hand with showdown value.

since you called turn it's just about impossible to put you on a Q
why doesnt he have a weaker Q?
so easy call, seriously this is very elementary

I don't understand why you didn't bet flop in the first place. You'd gain so much information for later in the hand.
