is it bad to check turn here? i hate to give odds for someone to draw but i think there's a decent chance he has a made hand? or am i thinking too weak-tightly

i guess maybe i should rephrase, when i said "made hand" i didnt mean he made his hand on the turn, just that he already had hand and wasnt drawing

bet turn bet river

consider folding to a raise

you can't automatically assume they have a flush just because they called your flop bet, he could have had Ac and you're just giving him free cards by checking

yeah i know, i wasnt assuming he had the flush but i was trying to make some allowances for it (which may have been retarded)... here was my thinking:

i flop two pair which is very likely the best hand but with 943693 people to act after me a flopped flush still worries me a little bit....so i bet "to see where I'm at", which in retrospect sounds pretty stupid since i still didnt really know where i was at lol.

so in nutshell i was hoping/thinking that the times i get called by hands like KQ/KJ/flush draw here and win small bets on the turn/river outweigh the times i check-call reasonable bets on turn and river and lose to an already made flush. it just seems to me that a lot of people, even with a hand like KQ without a club would be hesitant to call strong turn/river bets with the clubs on board. PS I DRANK WAY TOO MUCH CAFFEINE

i would have led turn strong and check/maybe call river depending on the bet

def bet the turn. If he calls again, you might wanna make a blocking bet on the river, so he wont bluff a missed draw. If he plays back at you, then you gotta look at laying down.

When you flop top 2 on a board like this u gotta keep the pressure on, you'll get better info that way, even though it does cost a bit extra when they have it.

bigredhoss   Cook Islands. Dec 16 2005 20:28. Posts 8648

if i got say...3-4 callers would I still bet the turn?

thanks for the replies btw

what's so bad about a missed draw bluffing?
i like a turn checkraise/fold to 3bet and river donk/call minraise/fold to more
