This is actually a standard Baluga Theorem spot. It is almost always a fold. I think you just happened to face a huge drooler and won here..
He could have totally gone with the same line holding a two pair+ hand like 76s/98s or even 53s etc. With just top pair it is very hard to make a profitable call unless your opponent is being overly aggressive like this hand.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

I hereby formulate my own theorem, to be known as the auffenpuffer theorem, that states "vs a guy with 60 big blinds TPGK is a huge hand and getting all in with it is almost always good" |

Just looked at that "Baluga Theorem" thread, seemed pretty worthless and outdated. So apparently people can't raise the turn with anything worse than 2 pair so you should always just throw away TPTK to a turn raise? Seems absurd. How about 3 way flop SPR is less than 6, get the chips in with top pair on ridiculously wet board. |
