I need to make $1000 in the next 8 days in poker somehow.

Sigh. Why did I take shots at nl100 when in 2 weeks I had a deadline for a certain earnings..

I don't know what to think

I think I beat nl50.. just vulnerable to tilt when I rape my own bankroll.. running sick bad the past 10k hands but I wouldn't of lost as much if I hadn't been looking at such a small bankroll.. idk.. fml forever, success at anything forever eludes me

All hands since May13th, the drop starts July 31st I believe.

This graph is supposed to show how I accumulated $2500+ from poker in the period of May13th - August 13th

I think if you got some coaching and had someone sweat you regularly, you would get your game fixed up really fast. I was downswinging bad last month, and even though I was running bad on, I was definitely playing poorly and made a lot of bad, passive adjustments overtime that really screwed up my game. I think I got lucky to realize what I've been doing wrong by myself recently.

I'm sure having some live, fresh perspective would really do good.

I got a sweat yesterday that really helped IMO, I think I made few errors while playing today but simply got raped by the deck.. I think you are right and everytime I have been having a real hard time, I've been rescued by someone sweating me. Problem is my BR is small and my DS is big.. and I'm going to miss my goal.. I am going to keep playing poker and I am looking for a long term coaching deal (I am currently contemplating an offer, but am still looking for options (anyone?)). But I am going to try and step back a little and earn a little money from non-poker avenues and maybe rebuild some of my self confidence in general along the way.. I am currently a shell of myself 1year ago in pretty much every aspect of life.

The 'must win $' deal came from trying to get my dad off my back while I was living over there.. I think it was a reasonable and good goal, and one that I would easily beat, but I threw it all away moving up to nl100 before my BRM specified and the deadline passed.. I am an overly ambitious fool.

I think, you have to win 20BI @ NL50.And If that's all get yourselff together and do it...

might want to play a limit you can safely beat, grind your roll up to $1k, withdraw the whole thing and get a stake. This would be a low variance solution that would keep you in the game.

If you want to increase your roll quickly, then move down to NL25, add a few more tables and grind like a maniac. I don't believe you won't be able to beat those stakes.

sounds like a good idea, you cant afford to be under pressure when you need to make money that quickly and playing NL50 with 1k when your self confidence is not at its highest might not be a good idea

yep. confidence in today's games is key. don't let it die coz its gonna be x1000 harder when ur in that "i can't beat poker. period" mindset
make money first also to endure those bad results at shot taking knowing that you crush the limit below in case you quit the attempt.

i think by now its pretty clear that aggressive shots has not been good to you. time to do something to fix it. gl
