I'm going to test out coaching to make me feel more productive. There was a day a while ago when I cleaned my house and did some other chores and it made me feel productive and it in turn made me more confident in my poker game.
I'm not new to coaching but the only people I have coached for long periods of times are friends. I will start out with exceptionally cheap and inexpensive rates and depending on demand and how I like it, adjust those rates. I also may want to do something where I take a couple people who have been break-even 100 or 200NL players for a long time and start coaching them for a % of their gain. Since they will have been break-even players for a while, they will not be able to deny that their jump in hourly is a direct result of me fixing up their game. This will align both of our incentives IE what's good for student is good for me and visa versa.
If anyone is interested, PM me ur Skype and I will add you. There will be no rush though and I will take things at my own pace. I will provide references and information about myself as necessary but I will only take on a couple students at first and I assume most of you know who I am.
I can provide graphs which extensively show that I solidly beat up to:
1kNLHU
1kNL6m
50nlFR (i don't play FR at mid stakes and my PTR has me as a small winner at 100nl because I 24 table it sometimes to get a break from high stakes when I'm on life tilt)
HU sitngos up to 50$ sitngos
single table FR sitngos up to 25$ sitngos
I can provide references and other such stuff but I'm trying to keep most things on a need to know basis. I do a lot of the time start from scratch when I've been losing for too long. I made a bet like 3 years ago with floofy that I could turn 1000 play chips into 6K (using rake back FPPs I made during that time) and easily beat it. I had a big downswing something like 14 months ago where I cashed out my roll and started from 50$
I remember I slacked off a bit too and wasn't averaging 14 hours a day even during that stint. People routinely tell me I waste so much time by doing this but it's also this caution that redisciplines me and has been the reason I have never had a shortage of money or scare that I will have to go find a real job in many years.
Also my 6m mid stakes graph on PTR is not that impressive and for a long while I barely played any 6m because I always thought I sucked at it. I looked at my holdem manager results (PS barely played means 125k hands over 2 years or w/e)
and I realized that I don't really suck at 6m. Since then I've played some 1knl 6m on the side just a table or two now and then and have been doing very well over a considerable sample size.
Anyway, I'm a little hesitant to release my specific stats or what my screen names are across all sites but if I decide to coach someone, I will provide ample information if they play high enough that I respect their concerns. As it is, right now, I'm actually looking maybe for more lower stakes people to coach, 1/2 to 50nl say.
Write down any questions you may have and I'll get respond to them tomorrow if I can't tonight as I am in London and it's about time to head out.
Ciao

I'm interested. I have about a million leaks, but I'd like to take a shot at this. Can you PM me what kind of hourly rates you'd charge for NL50, as well as how coaching sessions would be run? |

Interested..I beat 25 and 50nl pretty fast after properly learning poker. But last month I jumped to nl100 and while I did really well at first I took a plunge during the last week and ended up having a losing month..Sorta losing confidence in my game. PM me hourly rates please for nl100. |

well the last time I played the stakes I will be teaching was a while ago. I devoted a month to 1/2 HU about a year ago. Here's a sample of that
as per my teaching methods it totally depends. If you have a million leaks. It's important to watch you play once. Go over some hands I spotted and then have u compiling hands and have us going over them in sessions. If you have fewer leaks more observation is necessary as you might not know your leaks and there are other things like adaptation that must be learned. If you play heads up you pretty much do need a lot more observation for sure.
PS. people who have 39 posts don't have the right to troll anymore.
As per the % deal. It depends on many factors and we'd have to work things out we'd both be happy with. I need to also know what type of person I'm talking to and be certain that they would be focused and implement the advice I give. I would also need to know they're not tilt monkeys. |

Hi mr Steal City!
I have been lurking on this site for quite a while but never bothered to post anything. I would love some coaching but my level might be laughable for coaching, NL5-10. I believe that I am stuck on this level because I have never put in the neccessary amount of time to improve. I am on the other hand very willing to give up a large chunk of my winnings in order to improve since I believe that I have the mind (can take hard critisism and heat and know when to stop so I dont Ragetilt :=) I am also willing to give up a lot of my winnings until we come to the level where a hourly sum is more appropriate!
Best regards
Max |

I would definitely be interested in this. I have been around on this site for a while and have been going hard on poker lately. I am up a good amount live right now and have been trying to get really comfortable at 50NL. Some coaching would be awesome. If you could shoot me a pm with the details of your arrangements i would love to hear about it |

Thanks for all the PMs and responses of interest so far.
One thing, Skype and a headset is necessary. Also if you have too much feedback or bad quality sound over skype that's an immediate deal-breaker.
I'll respond to everyone who has contacted me or will within the next few days even if just to tell them that they are not the type of student I am looking for. (which is by no means an assessment of their skill)
