I quickly stack up 3bi profit today in a nice hand, 5 hands later I get coolered for 120bb, then I lose 80bb more by getting pooped on by the deck. Then I'm str8 up tilted and leave with my whopping 500 bucks.
Meanwhile I have to watch this bad nit/spazz cooler the shit out of people, flopping 5 fucking sets in 1 hour, and bust five fucking people.
BLEH. I hope I reach my goal for july/august. That's all that matters and I suppose I have plenty of time to do so (4-5 weeks).

lol so tell us something that's not 120% standard. especially in live poker.
i often seriously consider setting a "stopwin" lol |

it's a strictly personal issue, but in playing live, i have yet to determine whether or not the added ev of playing deepstacked against other players would outweigh the ev lost due to declining play conditions (tiredness, tilt, boredom, etc etc) concerning long term play |

Not playing deep live is seriously just slaughtering your ev regardless of declining play conditions.
Oh and night2o1 did you move to vegas full time? |

yah obv playing deep is the bomb diggity. I still leave if I don't think I'm playing well anymore ofc, though. And yah this is totally standard but its been going on for tooooo long. It just gets incredibly frustrating watching other donkish regs running good while I can flop jj on J9Tss 5way 4 times and everyone snap folds to my cbet, or flop kqss vs qtcc on 9TJss, get it in and chop when turn is Kc lulz
I'm kind of all over atm saki, I'll be in vegas 4-5 more weeks, then headed for some travelling, then back to vegas, or somewhere like it

Should you buy in deep if it's an option? I always buyin just 100bb even if they allow you to do more. |

When i was in vegas at the Wynn/Encore, i asked if there was a 1-2 table (because at winstar that's all i play) the lady said yes.
So i sit down, put 2 hundo's on the table and the dealer looks at me, chuckles and says "is that it?"...it was a 1-3 table and you could buy in 500...
and it's 3 in the morning, of the 7 ppl there, 4 of them were 5/10 players whose table was full, so they were spewing monies b/c 1/3 is NOTHING to them. Also, everyone was good.
Actually, there was a damn good looking girl playing at the table, she was hottttttt, had 3.5k chips, and absolutely SOUL CRUSHED ME. Luckily i sucked out, + Show Spoiler +
i had AA, she was UTG, limp, i raise, she calls (HU) flop 66T, check, i make about 3/4 pot bet, call, turn is like 4, check, I shove, she insta calls b4 i look up her money is in i'm like wtfuuuuuuuuuuuu river an A. She flopped a set. She was complaining about getting rivered or w/e but i don't see her justification, she shouldn't show up in a pot w/ a nitty nit nit (me) with a 6 utg..the only thing i can think of is 67s. and get a royal (no jackpot or anything b/c i had AA again and the board was Td-Kd)
Anyway i folded QQ pf b/c i was scared and left the table up a bi. |
|
sigh...its like they are throwing money out of a helicopter and i dont have any hands...so i just break even. | Last edit: 22/07/2009 11:09 |

You want spazzy retards to get on a stack, it's alot easier to get there money then someone who actually knows wtf there doing. Live poker can be frustrating, but it's a hell of a lot softer then online. |
