downswings are standard man. you play well just work on your tilt is suppose. been through big heaters and sick downswings myself this year and did whatever helps me deal with a downswing with minimal further damage if any at all. good luck.

winning so much $ without showdown is a perk of 6 max right?

would/should it be much different if you play FR?

yep, massive losses in non-SD and big winnings in SD is standard for FR. trick in FR is to try and breakeven in Non-SD

true, but I think the real difference is in TAG vs LAG play
(obv in FR playing TAG and straightforward is more common so you're not winning much in non-showdown pots, but switching to 6-max doesn't automatically make you a winner in these spots)

Either way just look for situations where you can make +EV plays, they exist in both FR and 6-max.

Here's a post I wrote in vegable's blog

I agree with what Silver said, you seem to be following standard cookie cutter TAG style poker, and obviously that's good enough to beat NL50 6-max on stars.
How many tables do you play? I play pretty LAG on 4-6 tables, and there's a TON of dead money to be made by just stealing pots from guys who play robotically (via squeezing, barreling in good spots, floating, check-raising "c-bet flops", etc.), and you can also make sure you're playing the "premium" fishy tables running by constantly rotating in a new table when you find a bigger fish. I think you'll move up either way, but trying to really tailor your play to each table as well as practicing good game selection will benefit you more in the long run.

I think your stats at NL50 if played well can run over the tables.

but few people have that skill who are still grinding NL50. Usually if they can do that they are already at NL200 or something.

So i hope you can maintain it because you'll be moving up quick on 6 max.

good luck!
