I have lost faith in both the idea that Im a good poker player and the notion that poker is a game of skill. I have moved to ipoker but my luck isnt changing and Im down about 2k since the move. After running bad for so long I find it really hard to make good thin folds and I keep questioning every aspect of how I play this game.

Todays biggest losers, I would appriciate any opinions:

I feel like I outplay almost everyone in the small pots but everytime i play a big pot I seem to end up losing. Im probably going to try and get one hour of coaching or something I think it would really help to have someone look over my game.

have you thought about nitting up abit, at least untill things are looking better? I dont doubt that your style can be much more profitable than if you play tighter but it would reduce the variance for you. Youre 28/25 so far for me, thats veeeeery loose for ipoker, again i dont question thats its a winning style but clearly not the safest one.

keep the pot cheaper when you run so bad, and try to figure the hand of your opponent, read them....
when you reraise 85 with your QQ how can you have a read on that hand..the guys reraise you..and you still call..you should save your money at this one...with your 10 against k too..i think ..play more soft..learnt how to fold
GL m8...work hard ..terrible set up..too

I was playing poker with tarot cards the other night. I got a full house and four people died. WTF...welcome to finland...

It seems like your so focused on winning and losing that you're just desperate to win big pots. For me at least lately I'm trying to build my game around dominating in small and medium pots especially from position where it's easier to mix things up a bit and put opponents in tough spots.

Nutshell:
1. Dominate in small & medium pots from position like you have been.
2. Nit it up with respect to playing large pots, try to get all-in only when you're virtually certain of having the best hand.
3. Profit

This is not to say that there is anything wrong with your style of play, but theres no arguing that it is going to be a high variance one and there may be other styles available to you which can profit more consistently and with less risk. Granted I'm a moron and don't play high stakes so there should not be much weight given to my comments.

yeah almost all of those hands are really standard, i commented on most.

coaching/having somebody sweat you is probably a good idea, although it looks like you are playing well and just running bad. gl

In general, you seem to force urself into tough situations unnecessarily often. This is not based only on the hands you posted in this thread, actually most of these hands are quite unlucky.

I went through the hands, so here are my comments:

AQ vs KK: its hu so this is of course very player and game flow dependant, but I still think it is generally better to bet the flop given its nl200 hu. This call down option is definately good vs very aggro players, but tbh I think most nl200 hu players arent that aggro. Once you decide to play it like this, there is prolly no more to do and yea, you got unlucky.

KK vs 9Js: river seems to be very close, not sure what exactly do u beat except a bluff and not sure whether you are good often enough. But yea, people are often crazy, so I would have hard time folding here too, most likely couldnt do it either, unless I knew he was very passive.

KK vs 67s: ...

QQ vs AA: this is opponent dependant a lot. Most players will be usually quite strong when reraising an utg raise from utg+1, unless u a have been very aggro. I dont quite like the line you took, as you will so rarely get paid off by worse here, maybe TT/JJ sometimes. If I decided to go all the way with it, then I would prolly check-called flop and check-raised allin turn. But I think you sometimes gotta find a fold with QQ there vs tight players.

AQ vs 76s: ...

AJ vs KQs: bad luck obv, just if i wanted to get it in on most rivers, i would prolly bet somewhat more on the turn.

T6s vs J7s: ...

9Ts vs KQs: hm. i dont like this too much. this is only good if u think he is floating u a lot here, but i doubt it really. If u think he is weak, then i think it is way better to bet the turn than check raise, because he is often checking behind with weaker holdings and only betting strong holdings or bluffs. If u think he has the K, then I think c/f turn is best or c/c if u think u have good enough odds (inc. implied odds obv).

KQ vs 99: ...

Just my thoughts.
Wish u better luck!
