Finally downloaded PokerGrapher and am popping my graphing cherry with my entire time playing NL10 over the last 24 days... so basically my September, though I did spend a few days and NL5 in the beginning of the month.
I have also failed to make any mention of my personal life in this blog (outside of a new computer). This has lead me to having my ass kicked by my girlfriend... she may only be 5'5" but she's got a sharp tongue and, well, I'm a total sucker for her. Ah ha, I fucked up already - I said girlfriend instead of fiance... If I don't post for a few days, plz call the Denver police and report a missing person!
Just kidding. She's a total sweetheart and I feel bad for not giving her the proper face time in this blog... because blogs are like the most important thing in the world, rite? OMG LIKE YES! BLOGGGS R GOSU!!
Speaking of face time...
Wish I had some new pictures for you guys who have already seen these ones, but they're on her computer and I'm too lazy to get em off right now.
Getting ready to have my first session on NL25... slightly nervous, kinda excited, and overall eager to play my best. Just finished updating my PAH databa<x>se so that I can try to limit the lag while I play. Gonna play 4-6 tables for now instead of 10-12 like I have been doing at NL10. Focus on reading and getting used to this limit... see if there's any big change in skill. Plus it's a Monday night, so I'm probably not going to be seeing that many scrubs. Let's hope it goes well!

Monday/tuesday nights are my least favorite days of the week to play. Its like everyone's IQ goes up by 200 pts.
At NL25 you will see the basic foundations of poker come into play. Your edges over players will matter much more as people won't be shoving with jackshit as much. If you're anything like me you'll be stuck there more than a month but of course with proper guidance you'll do great. |

I'm figuring to be there for about 45 days at the least, cause I play to withdraw 10 buyins at some point before moving up (part of my always pay myself at a limit at least once before leaving it program... spent way too many months where I was winning and then suddenly lost badly but never saw a penny go into my bank account).
I saw 2 smart / aggressive moves tonight which I haven't seen down low in the NL10 yet. Otherwise they were all still pretty stupid. Feel like I did pretty well but did hit a few tough hands which lost money. Mmm, more details in a later blog post. Came out just short of 1 buyin profit... not that great. But feel comfortable now, which is important. I suck at moving up limits, always get nervous and assume everyone pwnz me, plus I don't have any stats and gotta start building that up. So got over that hump tonight. I can start playing more confidently from now on and hopefully that will lead to some good sessions. |
