I did not follow the PLO scene (still don't know much about it really), so I am hoping you LP PLO players can help me figure out a mystery. Who were considered the best online headsup PLO players in the world a few years ago? like say 2009-2013.

Although I'd still be curious about the full list, the person I'm looking for isn't famous outside of online play (so nobody like Ivey, Antonius, etc.)

Thanks for your assistance

~N

*EDIT

Current best guess: Xblink (but there are some things that don't add up). Have any of you guys met him in person or played against him?

sauce, ben86, ravenswood, cts, dang brothers in 2012-2013. 2009-2010 probably galfond, benyamine, the other live pros.

here's the top PLO winners for 2012/2013, may or may not help depending on what mystery you're trying to solve.

it's flawed because it goes by account, so for ex. a player who won $1m on Full Tilt and lost $1.5m on Stars account still gets listed based on their FT account even though their net was negative. Or a player who won $500k on FT and $800k on Stars will be listed lower than they should because the account totals aren't combined. then there's the euro sites, i think cts was crushing those around this time iirc. then variance obviously...

but if you're looking for a particular name who was among the elite or something maybe this could help.

Thanks for the responses guys. Still haven't found who I'm looking for; went through all the people you guys listed pre-2013. Maybe it was even earlier. Possibly 2010-2011

I am looking for someone who is Canadian, and is currently under 24 years old (21-24). So when they were at their peak a few years ago they were still too young to gamble in the USA. Possibly not top tier, but 2nd tier player? I think played extremely aggro

Also, was someone who made no posts on any forums or any coaching videos. I'm not sure if he was a huge winner overall or not. Possible that almost everybody refused to play him heads-up, but maybe wasn't amazing at ring games.

wasnt he dutch?

i can think of a few canadien players who were very good highstakes winners and never (or almost never) posted on forums/coaching sites, but the age part ruins it. actually it's possible some played underage as well but it would've been back in 2005 or earlier and they'd be over 24 now.

This could actually be it... There are a couple things not lining up, but I think the person I'm looking for might actually be from Vancouver. Does anybody happen to know Xblinks or Xwinks handle on Pokerstars? brb, reading up about this guy.

*EDIT

From 2011 article:

http://www.parttimepoker.com/from-xbl...wink-anatomy-of-a-high-stakes-prodigy

"It turns out, apparently the 20 year old from Vancouver did have some saving skills, after all, as he told the 2+2 forum lurkers that he ahd actually cashed out almost exactly "

I didn't think this person has ever posted on 2+2 at all, but maybe he did once. Also 4 years ago he should have been younger than 20, but that said this is awfully close. Prodigy PLO player with bad bankroll management, near radio-silent, heads-up monster from Vancouver Canada and was at their peak before they were 21 ... There can't be too many of those

Harrington10 is still multiaccounting nowadays allegedly.

Back in 2009 I almost took a shot on 200/400 on UB, because XBLINK was playing. I'm glad I didn't. He played extremely fishy (limped, minbet donked, min-raised), but kept winning in the coming months against the best HU specialists (here are his results on UB http://scr.hu/5oii/vieyg
- bear in mind that he was playing the absolute best there at the time). Some time after he lost half of it on FTP then completely quit playing. Pretty suspect, but who knows...

Peace of mind cant be bought.Last edit: 31/08/2015 15:28

Guy I'm looking for definitely isn't harrington; I'm looking someone younger from Canada, I think Asian.

Many of these people I've never heard of.

So you think Xblink was a super user, or just had a skillset others weren't used to? Also, Xwink and Xblink are allegedly the same person, right?

*EDIT I didn't know he played NLH for such high-stakes. He was PLO specialist, right?

I don't know if he was a superuser (from what I remember this was a while after the UB superuser scandals were exposed). I don't know if he trojaned the people he was playing or was a top pro who was trying to look like a fish. He went from playing small stakes to playing some of the best players in the world at 50/100+ in a week (?). And as you can see from the screenshot I posted he was a clear winner after 100k hands at 50/100-200/400 HU while playing pretty fishy from what I could tell. You'd be crazy not to find it suspicious.

He played everything - LHE, NLHE, PLO, mostly HU if I recall correctly.

They're allegedly the same person, yes.

Peace of mind cant be bought.Last edit: 31/08/2015 15:41

xblink/xwink actually played pretty well on FTP; he may have lost initially but I know for a fact he had some big winning sessions against Galfond type dudes. He may have quit slightly down on ftp but the cheating thing was mostly debunked i think. He may have started his bankroll with a BBJ jackpot on UB i dont exactly remember but he ran it up more than once i think.

I assumed he just started grinding new accounts since his IRL name was never released was it

Kid played differently but well. Would go for insane bluffs vs regs who were capable of folding
