This is a very interesting situation i am in... Hurricane Ike is 600 miles in diameter, and is as big as the state of Texas (which it's going to hit Galveston). I've been hit by a hurricane while on vacation in Florida, but it wasn't as big as this. We are expecting to get 4-6 inches of rain in DALLAS. Thats 300 miles away from the coast. I've lived here for all 20 years, and i don't remember ever getting rain from a hurricane. Ever. When it hits Galveston, it's expected to be a category 4 which is up to 155 MPH winds...Hurricane Katrina which destroied New Orleans was a Cat-3.

I threw marcus a shuriken and we headed into the darkness. The tenseness in the air was to say the least... INTENSE. As Marcus and I traversed the inner city allyways of the metroplis of Wheatonia we knew one thing to be certain; one thing to be true and one thing to be right. So I finally noticed the season change. Goodbye to the summer and welcome Autumn. Some things are better but many things worse.
Bad stuff first: The good weather and free time is gone. I also think I am beginning to get my first cold since last winter (and perhaps fever?). Yesterday I sat at my computer just watching movies and pokershows with like 4 layers of clothes, 3 pair of socks, a scarf and a blanket oround me and still freezing my ass of! That would have been ok if it was like 17 degrees inside but it was 25 so something was definitely wrong with me! I am feeling a bit better today but I let the poker rest until tomorrow. I tried a small session yesterday but my brained was jammed so I quit after a few lost coinflips and standardcoolers.
Good stuff: School began a few weeks ago, the regular rutine is beginning to take place and you dont have to feel depressed if the wheather is bad. Its just perfect to be inside and grind a lot this time of the year. The tv-series are also starting to roll! My favourite show, Prison Break, is on its 4th season and I think it has potential to be the best so far!
The past week I´ve also gone through the swedish "Morgonsoffan" with many of swedens best comedians. I really can recommend that for those who understands swedish since they are doing such a great job mocking with both politics and the tv-industry.

of course im not sucidial enough to go into nl400 anytime soon. playing limit i jumped from gold star to plantinum in ONE DAY from 2/4. and limit has helped ALOT with my post flop play. this graph is over 2 days and i made $800. yesterday played 3k hands and ended up 700. today i woke up and played so shitty so a total of $86 was made over 5k hands.
im actually loving limit now. no big decisions, tables are very fast and at most u lose 1 big bet in a decision. and i cant rmb how many times i have value betted my paired garbage on all 3 streets only to be looked up by AK AQ KQ etc i.e i have 92 o a 24479 board, or check raised river/turn with my made hands and the donk just blindly cbets into me. then calls my reraise. So hilarious lol, there are ALOT more fish in limit.
anyway my bankroll is now 2.3k. last week it was 1k. yay me!
not gonna post any hands but im down 300 @ 50nl fullring, got 2 outered like a million times in a row either on turn or the river. Set vs overset, top trips top kicker vs FH....

I've been playing a bit of NL25 on Stars, attempting to relearn poker. I was idly looking through my stats, trying to plug leaks and revise my play in certain spots when I noticed that my rake was $924.16 for 38547 (according to HEM). I quickly crunched the numbers and according to this figure I've been raked for like 4.5PTBB/100 by Stars. Is there someway that I might be misinterpretting this statistic. If I'm not mistaken, how do microstakes players and former microstakes players suggest improving vs Rake play?
I suppose I'm relatively close to just moving up to NL50, so perhaps as I get away from the microstakes, the rake ratio improves? Is it worth moving to a site like FTP that offers substantial rakeback? Pretty much how to I fight the tyranny and oppression?

Long time no see. well since my last blog post I've managed a roll for 100NL and have been playing in the game for the past week or so. It was my 3rd attempt at the limit This time I got my ass handed to me on a platter. The opponents seem to outplay me backwards and forward on all angles as I fail to make the correct decisions as the deck fucks me over. I made a little headway in the beginning but am now forced to go back to 50NL.
Jesus christ I don't know what is going on... I feel like my focus, concentration, and willingness to play poker has been waning and its been leading me to make really poor decisions that in retrospect would look ass stupid to anybody. Here are some hands...
Looking back at those hands makes me want to punch 10 holes in the fucking wall. Some of the RAAAAGE comes from the continual string of bad beats but most of it stems from the horrendous plays I made. I'm not afraid to share these with y'all. The problem is I didn't even play close to how ass horrible I am today at 50NL. If you could stop by and comment on all the non-superobvious hands with advice that would be of tremendous help to me. I think for now I should switch my focus from practice to theory by reading more/watching vids.

i feel so fucking shitty. i am so tired of running bad at everything i play. ive tried to move from one game to another in hopes i will run better @ something else. i quit playing FR cuz i suffered a sick downswing and never fully recovered and was running unbelievably awful. i handled it well, cuz i didnt mind running bad and i was just like w/e it rly sux but its a part of the game, so i just dealt with it. i began playing a little 6m then started getting into razz because one of my good friends has had massive success @ it and i was hoping to have something of the same. so i began playing it and visited his house so that i could chill w another poker player and my friend and learn from him. so i cashed out over half my roll and left myself with 4k. i played some 5/10-10/20 razz, which i hadnt realized @ the time i was slightly underrolled for, however it wouldnt have made much difference because i just ran like complete ass(he even looked @ my hands and confirmed) even tho i was playing pretty well. so i lost pretty much like 70% of my bankroll and was forced to play 2/4 and 3/6 at the highest. so i used 22.5k fpps to buy a monitor, then used the rest in hopes of playing 5400 fpp satellites. so i won like 5/8 of these and w a 2nd place finish in a razz tourney i got my bankroll up to around 2.7-3k. ever since, ive been playing razz rly well, tourneys rly well, and ive done nothing but fail miserably @ everything ive done. i havent run close to even in months, and i just feel like im such a failure. i see everyone have success except me. i put time into learning tourneys better and i feel im pretty decent tourney player and ive put a ton of effort into getting better @ razz, and while i feel im actually pretty good @ it, i cannot even rly play it anymore cuz my BR permits me to play like 3/6. not to mention even if i did win, i wouldnt win anything considerable. i always have a decent winning session, only to get smashed in the face next session i have and lose a shitton more. its the same cycle. my bankroll is a shitty 2.3k-2.4k and i have no idea wtf to do. i just feel so down in the dumps and pathetic. im not rly rolled for anything.
it isnt one of those things where i believe i run worst than anyone else. cuz thats silly, but i have been running so bad for quite a long time. i mean i know ppl have fun worst for longer, but everytime i feel like things should turn around and i begin to get hope im immediately reassured its false hope cuz i just turn around and fail again.
EDIT: i should also note i got shit going on in my life outside of poker that further drive this level of disappointment and dismay. they dont effect my poker game in any way.
