Looking for a Stake by NewBornBaby, September 10

Hey all,

Unfortunately,I've had to pay off some bills and sign up for courses so that I can become a CPA. I am looking for someone willing to stake me for 50PLO and 50 9-max. I've had plenty of experience with MTTs due to my interactions with nutshot2 but because of my scheduling and work, a cash game stake seems more appropriate. Would be able to play MTTs Freezeouts of $22 and less on the weekends if interested as well. My OPR rankings and sharkscope stats are listed under "NewBornBaby." I am by no means a pro but I've played the game for years and feel I am better than most at these limits. I've had loans and stakes from PoorUser and nutshot as they can vouch to my integrity and ability to come through.

If anyone is interested and wants more info please feel free to PM me or IM me on AIM (screen name: GVibar86)

Thanks all!

-NBB

P.S. Unfortunately, my PT2 isn't working and I have e-mailed support for help. I tried "repairing the database" but I still get errors when I import the HH files. If anyone knows of a patch for this please let me know.

Hey guys,

Worst Dream EVER! by SugoGosu, September 10

So, last night I was playing poker right? I got on tilt, and decided to spew my money on 2 buyins of NL200. I made 2 quick buyins in like 150 hands, and I reached Silverstar. Then I woke up, and realized I'm still at $450 and I still need 1100 VPIP until I hit Silver

blegh by WilsWils, September 09

Played a short 1k hand session today, down a couple BI's. I dropped down the usual 10-12 tables to 6-8 and really focused on just playing with good decisions. I think i lost the minimum because i had to make a couple huge folds ; I've also started to almost stop 3betting AKss OOP and just playing it totally check fold style. I'm still 3betting JJ-AA and sometimes 1010 in pos vs some nits who will fold JJ-QQ ez.

This session just consisted of alot of me double barreling with either an OP / TPTK and getting minraised on turn or some other funky raise, which at this limit screams strength - i generally puke dump the hand at this point(LOL BALUGA THEOREM). It's getting to be pretty taxing on me mentally but I know i can beat this limit because i have beaten this limit for 6-9 bb /100 over 90k hands in the past. Just need to grind through it; but i'm not up to it mentally today. Stopping at this small loss.

off to warhammer; gl at the tables

Huge downswing by barbieman, September 09

okay, I'm having a huge downswing, I don't think i'm doing anything wrong on the bigger hands, but after 14 days of running like crap I'm want to know for 100% that i'm not the one causing my loss.
here are the big losing hands of today (clone day of last 14 days.)

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=522555

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=522526

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=522518
I have one small pot more with AA getting cracked, but it's only $20 and totally pointless

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=522507

ugh, i could go on quite a bit but it's abit of a pain to look through all of the hh.

25 nl, i surely have some leaks by GP.Xelnaga, September 09

Hey guys,

First of all an update on september so far, playing 25nl.
4days ago i really hit a wall. Lost 225$ on
25nl in 1day. 3Days ago played again 25nl won 90$ back. Yesterday, lost -116$ again, went away from the pc came back and played 10nl bringing my loss for the day back to -4$.
That's strange on 10nl i can win 10buyins in one session, while on 25nl the most i've ever won in one session was 4bi.

So i think i've got some leaks, can some of u guys give me some tips?
Uploaded a few hands and here's month graph so far and stats graph.
Oh yea , i play mostly 10-12tables always sh.

Poker stats:

Have some ambition for this month, trying to fix as much leaks as possible, win more at 25nl and move up to 50nl at the end of the month. Gonna do this with br of 1500 and then take shots at it, yea i know 30bi, but i like to be comfortable with it. Now i still have to win 400$ for it.

Hope some of u guys can give me some tips about the hands, playstyle, tomorrow i'll go to cinema with gf, for now, watch some vid of poker of a LPer

Greetz,
Xel

Y HALLO THAR by WilsWils, September 09

Long time no post. Basically decided to start blogging again just because it gives me some sort of motivation to keep going on with what i've been doing in poker. Basically i took a long break from online poker and just stuck with live for a bit, did alright netting maybe +1.8k or so @ 1/2 over 5-6 sessions (i dont play for longer than 3-4 hours a time) before i got run over in a huge session when random drunkie gamblers sat down with the max 500$ buy in and were raising blind preflop to 200$ and such. I was sitting with a pretty 800$ castle in 5$ chips (so it looked like i had alot D; ) while these azns were tossing around 25$ green chips like it was nothing (they were 5/10 regs from a big casino out of town). OBV i was a fucking idiot and decided to stick around and "NIT IT UP" , which as we all know in the cas when you're seeing 15-20 hands an hour max wasn't all that great an idea. Anyway, i ended up nitting it up for an hour before snap shoving over some guy's blind 200$ raise with 1010, he calls with 68o and flops a straight and the stack i worked for the entire night was vaporized. A 500$ profit night gone in the blink of an eye because i decided to get cute and not rely on skill or experience, but on complete and total luck. I was pretty upset with myself and went home angry that I should have just got up and left when i had the chance, and should not have stayed and gamble with the degens :<

So anyway i got home and deposited 300$ online just to mess around. I started off at 10-12 Tabling 25nl FR and realized that i had some brutal leaks from trying to outplay everyone. The first 20k hands were a breakeven mess, me just spewing stupid double barrels and semi bluffing draws out of position, and continuing once more even when i missed my draws. Totally forgetting that at these stakes, multi-barreling really isn't all that necessary with a bluff. After grabbing HEM3 and sitting down ad reviewing the 20k hands i played, i found that major leaks i had and fixed it. It was ALOT less fun being able to do "fun" moves and stuff at the tables, but hte fact that i was lowering my variance with this new playstyle meant the monies was flowing, and it did

I ended up moving up to 50nl in the next 18k hands or so (no i didnt do all of this in one day) and my first 12k hands were easy peasy. Was cruising at +10 BI's and generally feeling no stress - i had played tonnes at 50nl and just didn't feel bad or intimidated by anyone at all.

Last night i played my first big losing session in a long long time, alot of bad luck, a little bit of fatigue, and i dropped 5 BI's or so in 1500 hands. (Standard FR suckouts of course, i don't need to post bad beats here because they really dont help anything). Was kind of painful having to lose the BI's in the way i did, i wouldnt have minded if they were AAvKK situations, but they were mostly all postflop stacks; which led me to review my hands for a long time before i came to the conclusion that there was nothing i could do, opponents caught the right cards on the right streets - standard

anyway, that's basically how online has been atm, i'm sitting around 1200$ from my initial 300$ deposit a few weeks ago. No big deal, chump change but I really want to see how far i can take this before school starts and my poker time is drastically shortened. 3 weeks to get to 100nl reg status doable? Maybe, I figure i'll need around 2.3-2.5k~ or so before i start taking 1-2 BI shots at 100nl.

20 BI's in 2-3 weeks is totally doable , goggogogogogogo

funny things by PplusAD, September 09

1. ) Friend of mine won 100.000€ ( 145.000 $) last week
LOl hes a fucking luckbox .....
He was choosen to participate in the 100K € shootout of the LAst game of Oliver Khan.
People from germany may have seen it on TV

10 people from germany got the chance to win 100€K each when they score a "16mpenalty" vs Olli Kahn ( former Goalkeeper of FC Bayern)
1 of the lucky guys who got choosen was Rob Urban a college of mine whith whom i study sport science together.
LOl 60K people in the stadium watching him doing his penalty shot vs Olli Kahn and he only has 1 chance ...
if he scores he wins 100K if he misses he wins nothing.
He was the one of the 10 guys to first shoot his penalty.
He scored and now is 145.000$ (100K euros) richer

Sick life

I'm trying to move $1780.98 to Cake from PlayersOnly because I don't really want to wait for the cashout to process if I don't have to. If anyone can help me out with a transfer that'd be great. Thanks.
