I found a chatconversation between Phil Hellmuth and one of the best limitplayers in the world, HOSS_TBF, that took place on UB recently in a 3-way limit game. I think Hellmuth became somewhat tilted
Its taken from hoss_tbf blog and I have excluded some parts so it wont be tooo long (but its still long).. if you want to read the whole chat you can find it here: http://hoss-tbf.livejournal.com/18125.html

Opponent's strategy:
-Only 3bet Ax, min3bet only.
-Whenever there is a dry board, cbet/donk 2 fold to raise 100%.
-Check call/slowplay top pair and better, if checked to on river, bet a multiple of 5 closest to full pot.
-Bet a multiple of 5 with a pair less than top pair.
-Bet a multiple of 6 with an overpair.
-Check minraise as a bluff 100% of the time, as value 0% of the time.
-Bet 1-3 dollars with no pair no overcards.
-0% fold to 3bet.
-Never fold top pair.
I'm not kidding, these are his EXACT tendencies. It was literally like playing against a horribly programmed bot.
He kept hitting and hitting and hitting. And then he kept hitting. He would full pot rivers pretty frequently, which lead me to believe he was bluffing the river, but every single time I looked him up with a decent hand, he had the nuts. He would donk $2 on the flop I would raise and he would fold 90% of the time, and he did this at a near 100% frequency.
Amusing Thing @ Work Happened Earlierby SpoR, March 14
So last night I popped in the 'Cincinnati Kid' and fell asleep watching it about 70%.
So I decide to bring it to work and finish it in the downtime. I usually never do this.
After a few minutes, a customer walks in and notices I have a Dan Harrington book next to me. He says; "hey, is that a poker book?!", reaches his neck around to look at my screen; "You playing poker back there right now?" he asks. I tell him I'm defaultly watching C. Kid. He thinks that's awesome, and asks me which site I play on. I tell him Poker Stars, he exclaims that he does too. Next he asks me if I play for real money or play money. I tell of course I play for money. His wife then chimes in "oooh!" and he says "Wow, I only do play money".
Later as he leaves, he goes; "Too many flushes on stars huh?". Which had me confused as hell how to respond and was especially funny because I had checked my PT3 records the previous day and saw that the FullHouses, straights, flushes, trips, etc. were all in order.
lol donkey
I dont normally post any poker content but bear with me:
For the past 2 months ive been watching videos, reading articles, reading hand histories, changing my whole philosophy towards the game and actually having a feeling like i was moving forward and gaining skills - lookin at all this different shit actually trying to get better at this shitfuck game.
Then the month starts and I start playing and in my first 10k hands im like ohlolz kewl ez now i mastered the micro limits. My play was pretty good. I was hiting hands but generally i was getting in ahead, and makin some good plays and stuff based around my recent study.
then it just fucking rains shit on me all day every day and now im so tilted off my fucking face back to the same sold story of just pissing money into pots when im obviously way behind. apparently anytime i flop anything no one ever has anything.
I cant quite describe just how disappointed i feel that after hours and hours for weeks and weeks reading/watching videos/studying/reading articles
so i took my first 100 shot today, it was a long and epic session with many swings, fortunately I am good enough to win all the money i spewed back, I gotta control my shoving as I shoved way too many spots where they wouldn't call w/o nuts or some hand, coulda been up alot more but I guess adjusting takes priority for now.
My roommate staked me $500 for 25nl. Made 800 profit, so that leaves me with a $400 roll for 25 fr which should be enough. I won't have to cash out anything for the foreseeable future so this is a really good chance for me to build a br!
Man i love her. Seriously i havent found any performer worth listening to for more then a single single in years now. I believe the last album i enjoyed in its entirety was "How to dismantle an atomic bomb." No. Im lying. It probably would be something by Alizee, but its at least fifty percent penis thing.
So after a thorough look of yesterday, I cringed.
Tilt is amazing.
I stuck it in pf with QTdd cuz the guy "couldn't have it".
I triple barrel bluffed all in vs guy with a gutshot only to get called down by gazillionth pair pocket 5's.
I also won no big pot w aces =( Even slow played one and let a guy hit his 2 outter on me. Gurgling.
So I did what any smart person would do. I went back to basics.
And monster spews!! ( I love spewing when deep stacked the most!!! )

hate these kind of days. Came AI 6 times when I was more then a 50% favourite and lost all of them. This one felt the worst: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/652886
no more poker for tonight. even if they want to give their money to me they fail and I must have some type of stoploss..
registred to bounty tournament. Bounty was some named JQQxxxx and then tournament started bounty person wasnt on player list ...rigged.. can those bonty persons unregister?
Anways had my frist 20nl session with 400 roll. All went so bad went like bang bang almost down -5. Almost 0% cbets worked everyone wanted to play back at me. 3 bet my raises. Just call anything. Runned into sets with tptk etc. But in end i adjusted just to valuebet mostly and raise cutoff+. In end worked into breakeven but it was really scary. in 4nl cbet worked like 99% time. 10nl cbets worked like 85% time. in 20nl cbets worked like 20% times. Really difrent game. Everyone wanted to run over. My problem is i cant play really my game with 20bis i just dont feel comfortable to 2 barrel and reraise on turn then i feel they are weak. Need atleast 30+ bis to play my game. I think i play little 10nl more and wait 100$ rakeback and hit 20nl again then 500€ roll.
You ever start a weekend morning where you're ready to grind some cards when suddenly, your game jumps into hyperdrive? For some odd reason you begin 3betting/bluff raising people for no apparent reason, or you're playing out of your element and you KNOW this isn't your normal game? 100 hands in I regressed into some old habits & just had to log off. What would trigger this?
Sucks that I'm not playing my "a" game for some reason . man I wanna grind so bad but I guess its most +EV this way. Now we play the waiting game...
Jim Cramer was on the Daily Show last night after a week of John Stewart skewering him and CNBC. It was pretty fucking awesome. Not the funniest interview ever, but epic in a "holy shit he's laying the smack down" type of way.
If you have no idea what the history behind this is, click the spoiler. Otherwise check out the epic interview below!
It all started when Rick Santeli, the CNBC Reporter who had the melt down on the floor of the NYSE and called home owners with bad mortgages losers, didn't show up for his interview on the Daily Show. John had planned to show an 8 minute piece about CNBC being full of shit before the interview, but since Rick didn't come they just showed that and dissed him a bit. Here it is:

As part of that clip you saw that they had Jim Cramer of "Mad Money" caught in some BS. The next day John Stewart was on Letterman and he kept going after CNBC:
CNBC waited till late Friday to respond so that they'd have the weekend for things to calm down before John Stewart had another chance to do a show. Their response was that John Stewart was "bizarrely obsessed" with Santelli... the old "you stalker" trick. Jim Cramer also wrote an article claiming that the Daily Show unfairly attacked him... so Monday Night John Stewart retaliated:

Tuesday was fun as Cramer made the rounds of all the NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC shows to fight back. Some examples:
JIM CRAMER: A comedian's attacking me! Wow! He runs a variety show!
MEREDITH VIEIRA: Okay, but you know what he's saying about you, that you advised investors to buy Bear Stearns. You said you were taken out of context.
CRAMER: On October 6th, 2008, I came on this show and did something you're never supposed to do if you have a stock show. I said people should sell everything. That was thirty-five percent ago. Whatever he says about Bear Stearns, this or that, that was a call that should have wrecked my career, and it would have if the market had gone up.
Gogo John! This is the type of interview that needs to be happening, not all the soft ball BS that regular reporters do. It's crazy that a comedy news show is doing the best reporting and most real interviews out there. Plus it was civil (some cursing but overall respectful), which was a great change from the MSM talking heads who just yell over each others BS. I feel like Cramer actually redeemed himself a little bit and at the end of the day this interview left a bit of hope that something productive came out of it, as Cramer seemed to have been put in his place and made promises to make changes in his approach to his show and reporting... we'll see if he lives up to that or if he goes back to the same BS he was doing before.
Any other lost fanatics bother to buy/play this game? It's kind of like being in an episode of lost. The gameplay is nothing special so far, but what makes it enjoyable is when the cinematic scenes come up and it's like you get to watch new LOST scenes.
I've got this new 23" monitor and the game doesn't seem to understand how to set up on a widescreen so it looks pretty funky, and I can't find any video options to change it. The only video options they have is brightness. WTF rite?
I find that the more poker I play the less video games I want to play. At least that's how I've felt for the last few months. I tried L4D and was disappointed, never played again. Tried fallout3 and was disappointed, stopped playing. Now I'm messing with this lost game and as a game it sux but I'm such a lost addict that this game is something I think I will finish.
It's weird though, even my 2 staple games, BW and CS, are boring to me. I guess with BW I just suck so much that the game is frustrating. My APM is shit so I tend to lose cause I can't control anything. It's like I know what I want to do but can't get it to happen cause I'm too slow. So I lose stupidly and get frustrated. No fun at all. As for CS, it's just overall boring. Haven't had a lot of shooting people desires lately. Plus I wanna play the original dust, not dust 2, but that's like impossible to find these days, especially on source.
I miss having fun video games where I got totally absorbed. Halflife 1 and 2 were great for that. All the hitman games. The first splinter cell game. BW and Warcraft were like that when they first came out. And there was a great war game called flashpoint that I totally loved years ago but there's nothing like it now and the game is so old that it looks like shit and isn't fun to play anymore. And COD4 modern warfare hooked me and I beat it in a 1 night marathon session. Halo1 kind of had that effect on me, where I was absorbed in a new world and time just flew by. Halo 2 lost me about halfway through and I never finished it. Actually the only new game that I've played and been really into was Gears of War. Fucking sweet game. Can't wait till GOW2 comes out for PC.
Mostly I'm spending gaming time on the Wii playing old Zelda's. I beat the NES version and am on the SuperNintendo version now. I started Ocarina of time right after I beat twilight princess but the contrast btwn the 2 was too strong. The graphics and gameplay were far inferior and it was hard to get past it. So I figured that if I played NES/SNES versions then Ocarina would feel like an upgrade, heh.
My god, this has turned into a super long video game rambling post. That was not the intention. I just kinda got started and went off.
To sum it all up, I miss the good old days of amazing games that had a great storyline, awesome gameplay, and sucked you into a new world. Games that you think back and remember them as a place you went or experience you had, where you don't even remember the keyboard or monitor, but your memory is as if you were actually there. God, I have memories like that from my childhood of games like DOOM.
