Lately my mouse has been fucking around, this is especially annoying when im in a session and it wont move anymore. Today it just decided to stop working when I was in the middle of 2-3 big hands and some others, ofc I got timed out on all tables which tilted me to no end.
Well i got a USB mouse, microsoft stnd shit. Mouse works nearly all the time, but sometimes the light stops, and then it stops working completely, the windows sound comes( the one that comes when you disconnect a usb tool from the pc), then i usually have to wait 1-2 secs then the light comes back and I can move it again(then usb connect sound comes again).
Annoying. Mouse defect or possibly some windows mistake? I tried another mouse and so far the problem never occured.
1349 VPP left for Platinum Star.
Thats around 13500 hands, I should be able to do that.
went to see armin van buuren and markus schulz at a club here in Toronto last weekend. we got a booth for like 1k in the middle of the dance floor...was fucking awesome! some pics of me and my friends
Is the only thing in my mind right now! Did quit before I tilted anyhow. Lost all my profit for the last two days in this session. About 6.5bi:s....But it was sick. Check the hands i've submittet recently..LOL! The badly beaten, that's me!

...or at least Dusty and Pinball. They've come to Stockholm to play at the casino and the Nordic Poker Master event. Of course they had to check out my new apartmant which, imo, is dangerously close situated to the casino. They showed proof of great manner and brought some chinese food, duck in some lemon sauce and rice. Really tasty.
Of course you could feel in the air that a homegame was about to begin any minute. We played SEK 2/4 which is about 0,25/0,5$. Our buyins differed a bit during the game(400, 1600 and 3000) Some funny hands occured during the session. The second hand Pinball managed to double up through Dusty with 1010 vs AQ on the board 1085Q. I folded on the turn with my JJ. Later on Dusty got his revenge and sucked out on Pinball on the river with JJ all in pf vs KK. Pinball though got the last word by crushing Dustys 56h with his 97sp on the board 8h3h5d all in for about 350BB or somehing with a 7 on the river. Me, myself and I managed pretty well in this aggressive game and finally showed a profit of about 220$. Must also admit that I had some luck with good cards that stood up,like KK when pinball shoved all in pf with A9, A7 on 778 where Dusty had a couple of draws and so on. Think my nit and "protect my win"-style titled Dusty a bit.Eventhough I spewwed away a couple of hundred sek in the end. Lost about 50BB on the last hand mentioned above as I was the aggressor with AJ. The hand went down like this; Dusty raised from dealerbutton to 20, I raised to 60, Pinball call 16??? and than we told him that it was 60 and that made no difference to his decision so he called. The flopp came and I c-betted 100, Pinball called, Dusty raised to 500 and I folded. Thereafter Pinball thinks for a while and starts to talk about his 9high hand and suddently he went all in, and Dusty like instacalled I think. Dusty though got some back after them betting about Pinballs winning odds in that previous hand.
Now I might play step 5 (170$) since I won the third level in a row now. Only two more to go. Have not played so much cash today, a short session where my stack swung between + and - 3bi. Quitted at a breakeven result.
That's all for now. Good luck on the casino boys. Join you on Friday with R87.
Until now I was playing FR without table selection. I was making notes , trying to analyse and went on beating the regulars.
I never left a table unless my session was over and I was trying to catch any bigger pots and anomalies in players play, and I focused mostly on the regulars.
And I was beating NL2 NL5 like this.
But tell you what, I QUIT. Why should I try it the hard slow way, when I can simply tableselect and keep stacking fishes. I will focus on improving my reg vs reg game on 6max but its time to open a new chapter in FR.
My New FR Tableselection approach: VP<20 Call PFR<10 =Leave
Only Exception: A maniac or a massive station is present. Station leaves = I leave.
If there are only regs, nits shorstacks = I leave.
I now don't try to exploit regs anymore. My focus will be 95% On the fishes at the table and and all their hands. I will make notes on regs only in a case of an obvious leak.
These rules unfortunately mean I swap around 12 tables per session while 4 tabling NL10, but profits are my sole focus FR and I will keep them maxed this way.
You can expect roughly 0 more hands posted from my NL10 sessions as I will do my best to avoid awkward situations and tough spots.
But this also means I will pay much more attention to my SH Sessions with my second roll where I try to push myself to the hardest spots possibLe and where I will try to outplay the regulars.
So I was playing heads up against a friend today for a couple hours. I am a college student without very much cash, and I only had 3 bucks on me anyways, so we decided to play with 100 chips, 1/2 blinds, winner takes 3 bucks. So, I won 3 dollars, went out with another friend, came back and decided to play the original friend HU again for another 2 dollars, but in a cash game format instead of winner takes all.
Point is, I was doing very well most of the night, and walked away with a profit (lol), but there was a hand that bugged me alot and I just want some opinions.
The hand played out something like this....
---------------
HERO in dealer position dealt AcKd raises 5 cents to 6 cents
Villain calls 4 cents
POT: 12 cents
Granted, the hand could have been a bit different than that, but that was pretty much the gist of it. During the hand I felt like he was calling me out of tilt, but I still began to get scared that he had something, anything on the board (as I only had AK high) and out of tilt would call any reraise on the river, even with bottom pair. Villian was pretty tight and seemed to bet pot sized when he had a made hand.
I felt like a pocket pair was possible, and since he had called down 2 streets that maybe he had a set or something, but at the same time, I felt like he could just be holding air. I guess my greatest fear was that he just happened to hit a pair on flop or turn and decided to stick with it regardless of my aggression.
Am I ever good calling river here? Should I ever raise river here? Is this just read dependent, do I need to grow some balls and call? Or is that a leak/spew 95% of the time? I had an aggressive, probably looseish image. I just want to continue improving my game, and this hand really made me wonder if I could have played it better.
In the back of my head, I was thinking call? raise? call? raise? call? raise? and I ended up deciding that both were too risky even though I felt strongly about having the best hand.
So like I said, am I ever good here with Ace King kicker when called down two streets and bet into on river? Are there people here who would have called against someone they are trying hard to prove their ability to? (ie not some random ass player online who you'll never see again.) This guy is kind of older and kicked my butt when I first started playing poker, so I'm looking to play a great game and stomp him, so I don't want to turn over AK high and have him be like "LOL SPEW WTF?"
I know this is probably a dumb thing to post because it is probably situation dependent and read dependent, but that's why I put it in a blog :D. Thanks for any advice guys
Yesterday I decided to go back to work but woke up this morning with a really painful sore throat. A friend at the office caught tonsillitis during our alp-trip last weekend, but I do really hope that he has not infected me too (For the avoidance of any doubt; No we didn't make out, just sat next to each other on the plane).
I don't feel so sick overall so I think I will be able to get some hands in today also. Really feel like a pro staying home in a middle of week and play poker, lolz. But I realized yesterday that there are a lot cons with such a life. Damn, don't think a spoke to a single person irl, which for a social human being as myself sucks bigtime.
Now time for some tea which I might be able to pass through the open soars of my throat ;-)
Played 12 hours and 6k hands today 4-6 tabling lol. (1/2 of it at nl50 before dropping down)
Making some headway, really feel like I'm getting my confidence back!
As I noted in my self-note blog
* open wider pf, change ranges a little
* fold to 3bet more pf unless I have reads (stats) indicating that I can profitably play back
* fold to cbet more - I'm going to end up folding to barrel anyways or get valuetowned, and the few times I do take it down on flop just doesn't make it worthwhile. Goal is to get fold to cbet up to like 80%.
* cbet more against nits
* cbet WAY FUCKING LESS AGAINST STATIONS
* fold to raise when villain/situation makes no sense to be bluffing ever.
* FOLD TO RAISE (yes it's worth saying it twice)
* VALUE VALUE VALUEEEEEEEEEE
* Am I really betting for value, or am I value-owning myself? (aka WHO AM I BETTING INTO and WHAT CAN HE CALL WITH)
last 700 hands was last session I played. Was totally fatigued even after 3 hour nap but played well anyways sticking to the above gameplan. Value-owned myself once or twice but it's a gradual process.
I decided to try some HU, because I feel little bit bored by 6max last few days / weeks ... I actually played few thousands hands of NL20 and NL50 (I know - rake is killer at these stakes, but I have really good rb deal and want to learn this first, so I dont mind to be breakeven from my play and gain something from rb) and I noticed, that what really hurts me is playing a long sessions for whole day without break, when I basically play good until one moment, when I start to tilt hard and lost all my profit + something more. So I dediced to try strictly stop my session after 45 minutes of playing and then take a 1h break. I will see how this will work for me and than maybe reevaluate ...
I also want to ask question about br - I have about 1500 for the HU right know, and my plan is play NL20 until I reach 2k, and then take a shot on NL50 and go back when I drop down to 1500 again. Do you think that this is ok for HU ? Or you can recommend me another way how to manage it ? Thank you.
This month has been pretty wicked awesome so far, I play poker like 5 hours a day 2-8 tabling. Rakeback is awesome. I'm so stoked to be getting nearly 1k for doing absolutely nothing at the end of the month. I wish proleague would start again, i miss being able to watch starcraft every night of the week and 2 tabling while doing so.
I'm going golfing today and I'm prob gonna life tilt because i suck at golf. I have the baseball swing syndrome and am absolutely terrible at golf. Girls suck, I woke up cuddling with a semi pretty looking girl who ugh i wouldnt fuck sober but i didnt remember anything but she was snoring LOL. I should really quit getting blackout drunk.
SCOOP is coming up and I THINK i'm going to play every single low event maybe not the $109 horse though. Prob will play a few mid events and I might ask for some backing in future blogs regarding them. I hope I take down something cool like the 5card draw scoop event.
I'm torn about continuing to play on cake. I can finally cash out now and it's a relatively speedy process which surprised me quite a bit. The problem is is that 9/10 players is a reg and even though I don't really think any of them play well there are just so much softer tables when I look @ nl100 on stars/ftp. Rakeback is way too awesome to pass up though esp considering im bronze star on stars. So, maybe UB or FTP next I dunno yet but im at least staying on cake long enough to get my rakeback check and then prob will move to another site get comfortable with it and move up to nl200.
Yoyo, been a while since i updated this with some 'proper' information, so here i go for everyone that im sure is dying to read it... ;P.
Uni has so far been pretty cruisy, however my latest maths assignment is doing my head in, i swear there is information missing or something, because i've done the last 2/3rds of it but the first 1/3rd is like, impossible -__-a. Physics is easymode and biol is just boring, but still pretty easy . For those who don't know im currently studying my first year bach. of science.
Melbourne is pretty fun, my apartment is pretty sweet and i've got a nice set-up in my shoebox of a room . I'm living in eureka with my sister which is the biggest building australia, and it's only like 20 min public transport to uni. My gf travels up here most weekends from bendigo and we usually find something to do to pass the time, other than that I'll be traveling down to bendigo over the week long easter break and hopefully catching up with my friends up there then =].
As for poker, nothing really exciting, I'm slowly grinding my roll back up with a stake i received about 2 weeks back. Got staked $100 and my rolls sitting at $250 about 10k hands in and im grindin my way thru NL10, I cant put in as many hands as i'd like to with uni atm, but still enjoying playing when i get the time to .
And one last thing, I still haven't found anyone who's willing to purchase HEM for me. I'm happy to ship $55 to anyone on stars who has a means of buying it online (the low stakes version). This would be greatly appreciated as it's pretty hard to multi-table without it and my trial runs out litterally tomorrow, . I'm happy to ship the money first if you're respected on LP and you have anyone who can vouch for you, help a poor little aussie out :D.
That's about it i guess, this blog was pretty boring, but not much really exciting happening at the moment, hopefully I'll have something more exciting to write about next time
so im considering switching from 6max to hu. i kinda feel it just fits my overall personality better plus i find it about 10x more intresting.
i was just wondering if someone who played 6max and switched to mainly hu could get me some tips and talk about the differences. dont worry i play on ub so i doubt ill be playing vs you ;o]
I admit that I loose it sometimes I'm really considering asking for a chat ban I have no self-control regarding this matter. T_T
