John Stewart did a hilarious segment on the daily show recently taking on all the nutjobs with their conspiracy theories and "Obama is destroying the USA!" bullshit. It was basically him vs fox news and it looked like another version of the sane LP guys talking to ToTehEastide and TheTank when they post their conspiracy theory movie threads and so on.

It's funny how during Bush's years when we disagreed with the president Fox news and all the right wing nut jobs were quick to call us "un-patriotic" and "un-american", and tell us to leave if we don't like it. But now that Bush is gone, disagreeing with the president is "Patriotic", and people should fight the "tyranny" that Obama is trying to impose. Supporting the president is supporting "fascism". Do these assholes really not realize the double standards they're setting and the hypocrisy of their actions? I doubt it. I bet they know but all they care about is trying to brainwash everyone they can to achieve their own goals, or maybe it's just all about ratings.

Fuck yeah, came 2nd in the weekly tourney I been going to lately. Feels good. But also disappointed that I could not win it (66 vs KK was the busting hand).

Not had the internets at home for almost 2 weeks. Prob gonna be another 3-4 weeks untill I do get it up and running at my new house. Makes me realise a) how much of an internet addict I am, b) how much we rely on the internet now in this day and age, and c) fuck I miss online poker lol

Just quick run about finishing 2nd. Last 2 weeks I had been, I busted out in 11th, and I have to say, when I headed down there on Monday, I said to myself that I was not going to make the same mistakes I made last time. Kept my focus, and headed into the Final table in about joint chip lead. It was my first final table at a live event before. Sick buzz. I felt I was playing good, I layed down some good hands, and def played my good hands to the full.

My goal is now to win this tourney. My goal before was always to make a the final table, and winning would always be great. So now I feel like I got alot more confidence, and becoming more comfortable with live play. Also alot of the regulars down there are bad. I mean, really, bad. lol I feel I am starting to learn more about the regs and starting to feel an edge. I mean when alot of players are talking about me at the table, it cant be a bad thing!

Found this funny story on Politico about Obama's TV habits and I thought it was pretty funny that he was like a hardcore entourage fan, so much so that they always tried to organize the campaign season in a way so he and his staff could watch every episode, hahaha. He also watches the wire, ESPN (whenever possible), and some kid shoes with his daughters. Plus he's made a special effort to see slumdog millionaire and the wrestler with his family. Overall I approve of his choices, though I definitely gotta get watching entourage now. Everyone tells me to watch that show but Obama being a fan just sealed the deal for me and it's definitely the next show I will be starting, heh.

I havnet posted in a bit because Ive been pretty lazy and to be honest... theres not much to update. I have been running like absolute shit the last while and its frustrating as hell. Im getting my money in good a lot of the time and ppl just keep drawing uot on me for fuck sakes. My last 10k hands are fucked you should see soe of the coolers. Ive also been breakeven for them too! I just cant get any momentum going. I get up a bit then some fuck will call my 4 bet with A9 when I have KK and the flop will come 299. Its frustrating. I am minus $200 on all ins. I checked and over 75% of them I am favoured when I get it in. If it werent for rakeback id be way more pissed. I need a fucking heater and I need it now plz.

Its been a long time since I made a blogupdate. I have kinda taken a pokerbreak of some sort. I have played some live (at the casino and at a homegame) but nothing online and I dont know why really. The only explanation is that I havnt felt for it. The past weeks I have hanged around with friends, been at a LAN-party and tryied to do some schoolwork etc.. This week I will write an essay at school so I dont know how poker it will be now either. But after that I hope I can have the drive to put in some hands and let my bankroll grow so I can go to Vegas this summer

I also owe you a March-update:
I played a somewhat ok amount of hands (regarding I didnt play in the end) and came up with around 20k. However the results wasnt that great. I lost about 2k online and 1,5k live. Then I get some RB so I guess March results was like -$3k.
I cant say it isnt deserved. I havnt played that great online (even if I run under expectation) and I dont put too much an effort to win in homegames, then I just want to hve fun. Maybe I need to pull myself together and make some results soon. Otherwise poker is just taking up a lot of time. I will take a year off after this semester and play poker, travel some and work out etc. If I cant do any good results then I will quit poker and concentrate on the things I really want to do with my life.

running at 106bb/100 over 1k hands this far. at 200sek tables (kinda ~ = 25$nl)

will get the rest of my roll in monday next week so i can start play 60NL and maybe some 120NL ($) (500sek and 1000sek)

though i almost doubled my roll in 1k hands so maybe i can keep the rest of my roll on my bankaccount if i continue to rape this hard til monday

Yesterday I tried to transfer my BR to redbet instead of Party but my visa-card wasn't accepted in some way, according to RB due to connection problems with my bank. So I had to make a bank-transfer that could take up to 24hrs before beeing fully processed. So maybe today I'll be able to play some hands and with the juicy 60% rakeback deal.

But as always there is a lot to do at work so right now I just pray that I will get easter off and play then instead. Will probably go home to my parents place and just eat, rest and play a shitload of hands.

Losing my passion for poker but i feel hella less motivated now http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/7451/aprilto6th.png. Didn't play poker today at all went to go See lakers game above 5-6 rows above courtside. Got to LITERALLY high five kobe, odom, morrison etc.

I think part of the reason is im just sick and its been rainy the past couple of days so i REALLY feel like shit. It's spring break right now and hte next couple of days besides work i have to catch up on my work in school FML im such a bad student. So yea hope u guys running as good as me and ill be back to pwn more hopefully.

Lots of random shit to talk about. First off, here's my April graph so far of me running like a kenyan (which means good btw):

I had a long talk with one of my "mentors" at this game, whom I owe a shitton of any semblance of my poker success to (he's the one that originally got me into poker). I mentioned that I wanted to get to 5/10 quickly, but I feel uncomfortable with the fact that I don't think I'm one of the best 400nl players at ftp or something. He later ended up mentioning that the best ways to get better were to play more HU, and also start taking some more shots at higher games when there's a good reason to (a fish and a not-as-tough lineup, for example). So today I played some 5/10 and 3/6 which resulted in a 2k win which is nice. Here are some winning hands:

To add to my April boomswitch, turns out one of my old War3 buddies who I used to let stay at my house for SoCal LANs back in the day is a 7-star VIP huge balla degen at Caesars so he got me a room there for free for the entire 10 days. Fucking awesome :D Anyone gonna be in Vegas that time?

ill just map out my blog and ask for advice, but you can answer in paragraphs

-worried about health, poker makes me smoke too much coz of grinding tons daily
-stress doesnt help, imagine u guys who play 1k hands a day experiencing all the variance for a month in 3 days on a daily basis lol
-playing hours on end has sucked out the life out of me, e.g. less going out, socializing (which i love), gym etc
-i think im less sexually prolific now lol, srsly
-thinking of playing 6max, getting a coach, but internet sux a bit for voice chat, (is mikogo better than teamviewer, skype is choppy and vent kinda weird to use too, any other suggestions?)
-overall i think i should upgrade the quality of play, not the quantity, devote more attention but less time for poker
-im srsly thinking of playing 4 to 6 tabling 6max on stars, how many hands does it take at 100nl and 200nl to get like 3kvpps daily?

Decided that I would quit poker about 2 weeks ago because it was disrupting my life too much and was causing multiple problems, not to mention I wasn't having any significant progress. But then I remembered I had a $285 and a $50 bonus to clear within two weeks. So I deposited $400 on stars and ran that up to $800 yesterday after a few hours of play.

I was very close to clearing the bonus when I started playing today but then bad things happened. Now I have both bonuses cleared and still maintained profits from yesterday as today was all about getting unstuck.
