Back to training-feeling solid. by SfydjkLm, September 17

Sitting here sipping meself some Bud Light lime. No matter how queer the drink might be it is ridiculously awesome. Not to mention they made the best online commercials for it i ever saw- they were mute and short. I appreciate that, and that really made em stand out as well.

I'm back on a 5 day training regimen. I want to try to make it 7 day in fact- with 2 extra days of heavy bag work. After all that is my favorite part of training. Feeling really solid, not poker wise, just solid. My body. It feels like a proper machine. Not the wobbly feeling of an unoiled rig, when manipulating your body is like- for the lack of better metaphors- playing a really laggy game.

Let's hope this is an upswing. Life and poker alike. Now i just need to get laid.

edit: also want ur pokerstars moneys!

I really suck at this game but...

YEAHHH BOIIIIIII
Evennnnnnnnn. lol.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/6f3b9.yeah boiii.jpg

Overall.. I've been playing really bad though. Really really not focusing, so I'm going to take a little break and come back with my mind ready to play. Maybe play some SC which I haven't done in forever. I know to many people it's laughable that I'm at NL2.. but I'll get there eventually . Really, my post flop play has been pretty bad and I'm just not able to focus. I need to find a quiet place to play as my house is always noisy and I'm using a computer in the living room.

Anyways, recently I wrote something about poker and how I felt about it in my class. Maybe I'll write it up and post it in my blog eventually, but it's kind of embarrassing since I only play NL2 . We'll see.

Change of games....end of summer! by MasterofLaw, September 17

So in my last post I discussed whether I should change from online to live poker...

Actually I took a paus and went on a nice and unhealthy vacation. The vacation in the end (mixed up with a lot of fun) only brought problems. Have been screwing around with too many girls at the same time and in the end kinda lost the control over the whole situation ending up with me having a girl(1) (living 300kilometres from Stockholm)living at my place just to duck another girl(2) and have something to blame on to easier break up with the latter one...Have been a lot of fun, have travelled alot within sweden (think I drove my car about 250kilometres in total) visit great hotels with nice women and so. But lesson learnt, never be dishonest to women (and if you are for godsake master the art of bluffing first)

Last week however, I decided that the uncontrolled rollercoaster (a.k.a my life) needed to be taken control over by myself once again. I kindly asked the girl(1) living with me to go home, called a third girl(3) (not mentioned earlier in the post)that I have been dishonest and not want a relationship with her but we can still do the honkytonky on weekends. The second girl was at first kinda pissed because when I was on vacation I told her that I missed her and longed for her, just to get the phoned hi-jacked by girl(1) who kindly told girl(2) that she actually was my gf and that I have been doing her for two weeks...But I have climbed my way back to girl(2)to the honkytonky on weekends-stage..once in the circle of trust you can always get 'em back..However I have no serious intentions with her but she has kinda accepted it =)

At this stage I feel that I once again have gained control over my life, no known babies made, no known STD:s recieved, just great summer memories created and saved...Now I'm back at the lawfirm again grinding work...Have a new prospect (girl 4) and this time it feels pretty good. However, I decided to start taking poker more serious and switch to live-games solely. Have had 3 sessions at the local casino and over 11hours I have made a profit of 11.5k SEK (blinds 20/20). Feel I have a huge edge over the addicts, fishes and retards playing there. Think I'm a good live-player...So I will try to build a live-roll instead of online and only time can tell if I get back to play online again...

Also Dusty, Remember87 and Pinball....wish you all luck in Unibet open starting today(?)!

Over and out!

Godlike 2 Barrel by Zalfor, September 16

Today was a really good day. I met people from McKinsey, and they were really cool. I think I might want to work there eventually. Anyways, I ran really well today and am still trying to fix a few leaks and bluff a bit more and follow my instincts.

Important FTP info RB, Bonuses, Fees, etc. by thumbz555, September 16

Was curious why my MGR on PT3 was different from that on my RB site... Here's why:

Quoted:

Full Tilt will also deducts a number of things:

1) Deposit fees: 3-10% of each deposit will be deducted from a players poker revenue, which will decrease their expected rakeback.
2) 100% of bonuses are deducted from a players poker revenue.
3) Players are deducted $5 for every 1,000 points spent in the FTP Store.
4) Players are equally deducted if they play in a tournament that has an overlay. For example, if there is a $10,000 Guaranteed tournament that does not receive enough entrants so that the prizepool exclipses $10,000, the money Full Tilt has to kick in to meet the guarantee will be equally deducted from all of the participating players.
5) There is a fee that is deducted for cashouts, although Full Tilt does not disclose the exact amount.

Good to know, eh?

200nl 6max video by piratematerial, September 16

If you read my blog lately you heard about how many problems i had in recording a video. Even though i got some very nice footage. I haven't given up though. I made a 6max video at 200nl. It wasn't easy to do, english isn't my native tongue as you will find out and going through your thought process while playing is harder then it appears to be if you hear CTS do it

i hope to do more and will try do make them of increasingly better quality. There are a few interesting spots in the video of 2 and 3 barreling, whether to do it or not to do it. And i manage to pretty much fuck them all up so enjoy , it's about 40mins long.

restarting poker by Orome, September 16

I quit poker a while back because it started being only about the money and playing the game wasn't fun anymore. Gave it another try 2 months ago and have been enjoying it again since. I only play when I really feel like it and try to focus as much as possible on the fun of playing my best possible poker and as little as possible on the results. Since I mostly play 2-6 tables this means I get in very little hands, but I'm focusing on improving and having fun over making the most money possible for now.

Obviously I have to be running good because I doubt 30bb/100 (NL25) and 20bb/100 (NL50) is my normal winrate, but I think I'm playing far better poker than I've ever played before and many players at those stakes are still ridiculously bad. The NL50 stats are skewed because half is HU.

Just wanted to post this to document how I'm doing (and maybe it'll interest someone ). I'll stay at NL50 for a while (probably until I'm up another ~1k) and then take a shot at NL100. gl guys~

please redline HELP by tutz_x, September 16

hey guys. I was here doing my usual session review, studying a little bit, watching videos and wondering about the changes that I have to make on my game before I feel totally comfortable to move up to NL50. about the BR, I'm already rolled for it, but I really think that I should improve my game before moving up. by wacthing some cardrunners videos of NL50 I realized that the game change a bit there. there's a lot more 3bets light, bluff here and there, more regulars, the game starts to not be based on only exploiting the fish. I just watched a VERY good video by Zaitsev, a cardrunners coach, about the myth of the redline: "trying to increase your non-showdown winnings on NL50 is unprofitable". He shows how increasing ur NONSDW improves a lot ur winrate, and he actually show a lot of spots where u can exploit that. Personally I feel that its not just this that I got to improve in my game. Sometime I play very weak and passive, sometimes I miss value in some spots, well, there's a lot of things I have to work on, but the redline is the one that is making me wonder the most. Increasing my redline means that I will have to change a lot my game I really pick the rights spots to take medium size pots double barrel more, raise more and stuff. I really would like to hear some thoughts about how some of u guys managed to go thru this change. Should I start experimenting some plays in NL25? I don't wanna be a mediocre winner. I'm decided to beat the game, in every stake I intent to play, and NL50 is the next step. any advice? thoughts? share experiences?

thanks

ps: if any of u are interested in the video, the name of the serie is "The myth of the redline" by Zaitsev

blog shoutout by vegable, September 16

this is a shoutout to all the dudes that have been valuebetting a fish perfectly, bluff raising him in the most opportune spots, and yet he runs hotter than the sun and gets 300bb deep with your money vs a whole table full of sharks.

a toast, de@r sirs, to those fellow poker players who had the discipline (to stay on the tables even when you're 2 hours overdue for an appointment just to get your green back. and it feels gooood man, now to share my hands in chronological sequence

Question regarding FTP Satellite MiniFTOP by theobsessed1, September 16

Hey guys, I couldn't find an answer on Google so I'll ask you experienced players:

If I were to win a Satellite to MiniFTOPs entry, is it possible to sell my seat to someone?

I accidentally joined this Sit n Go thinking its a regular one, but it happens to be one of those satellite things. Is it possible to sell the entry ticket? This is FTP btw.

When to give up? by OpWestAcct, September 16

Giving up and pursuing another lifestyle I believe is one subject that a lot of poker players ponder about and may or may have not overcome. I would like to know how many of you have seriously thought about giving up and why -- also explain how you overcame this emotion and kept on driving. I have been playing seriously for about a year now and the swings are beginning to become overwhelming and are starting to crush me because I have yet to have some very significant results (i.e. two decent winning months in a row). Poker is my life and I have convinced my family that I can do this. So now what?
