| | 200nl 6max video by piratematerial, September 16
If you read my blog lately you heard about how many problems i had in recording a video. Even though i got some very nice footage. I haven't given up though. I made a 6max video at 200nl. It wasn't easy to do, english isn't my native tongue as you will find out and going through your thought process while playing is harder then it appears to be if you hear CTS do it
i hope to do more and will try do make them of increasingly better quality. There are a few interesting spots in the video of 2 and 3 barreling, whether to do it or not to do it. And i manage to pretty much fuck them all up so enjoy , it's about 40mins long.

| | restarting poker by Orome, September 16
I quit poker a while back because it started being only about the money and playing the game wasn't fun anymore. Gave it another try 2 months ago and have been enjoying it again since. I only play when I really feel like it and try to focus as much as possible on the fun of playing my best possible poker and as little as possible on the results. Since I mostly play 2-6 tables this means I get in very little hands, but I'm focusing on improving and having fun over making the most money possible for now.
Obviously I have to be running good because I doubt 30bb/100 (NL25) and 20bb/100 (NL50) is my normal winrate, but I think I'm playing far better poker than I've ever played before and many players at those stakes are still ridiculously bad. The NL50 stats are skewed because half is HU.
Just wanted to post this to document how I'm doing (and maybe it'll interest someone ). I'll stay at NL50 for a while (probably until I'm up another ~1k) and then take a shot at NL100. gl guys~

| | please redline HELP by tutz_x, September 16
hey guys. I was here doing my usual session review, studying a little bit, watching videos and wondering about the changes that I have to make on my game before I feel totally comfortable to move up to NL50. about the BR, I'm already rolled for it, but I really think that I should improve my game before moving up. by wacthing some cardrunners videos of NL50 I realized that the game change a bit there. there's a lot more 3bets light, bluff here and there, more regulars, the game starts to not be based on only exploiting the fish. I just watched a VERY good video by Zaitsev, a cardrunners coach, about the myth of the redline: "trying to increase your non-showdown winnings on NL50 is unprofitable". He shows how increasing ur NONSDW improves a lot ur winrate, and he actually show a lot of spots where u can exploit that. Personally I feel that its not just this that I got to improve in my game. Sometime I play very weak and passive, sometimes I miss value in some spots, well, there's a lot of things I have to work on, but the redline is the one that is making me wonder the most. Increasing my redline means that I will have to change a lot my game I really pick the rights spots to take medium size pots double barrel more, raise more and stuff. I really would like to hear some thoughts about how some of u guys managed to go thru this change. Should I start experimenting some plays in NL25? I don't wanna be a mediocre winner. I'm decided to beat the game, in every stake I intent to play, and NL50 is the next step. any advice? thoughts? share experiences?
thanks

ps: if any of u are interested in the video, the name of the serie is "The myth of the redline" by Zaitsev

| | blog shoutout by vegable, September 16
this is a shoutout to all the dudes that have been valuebetting a fish perfectly, bluff raising him in the most opportune spots, and yet he runs hotter than the sun and gets 300bb deep with your money vs a whole table full of sharks.
a toast, de@r sirs, to those fellow poker players who had the discipline (to stay on the tables even when you're 2 hours overdue for an appointment just to get your green back. and it feels gooood man, now to share my hands in chronological sequence

| | Question regarding FTP Satellite MiniFTOP by theobsessed1, September 16
Hey guys, I couldn't find an answer on Google so I'll ask you experienced players:
If I were to win a Satellite to MiniFTOPs entry, is it possible to sell my seat to someone?
I accidentally joined this Sit n Go thinking its a regular one, but it happens to be one of those satellite things. Is it possible to sell the entry ticket? This is FTP btw.

| | When to give up? by OpWestAcct, September 16
Giving up and pursuing another lifestyle I believe is one subject that a lot of poker players ponder about and may or may have not overcome. I would like to know how many of you have seriously thought about giving up and why -- also explain how you overcame this emotion and kept on driving. I have been playing seriously for about a year now and the swings are beginning to become overwhelming and are starting to crush me because I have yet to have some very significant results (i.e. two decent winning months in a row). Poker is my life and I have convinced my family that I can do this. So now what?

| | WCOOP #37 Stake by NeillyJQ, September 16
On September 17, 14:30 (2:30 PM my time, perfect for me)
$530 6max Rebuy $530 + rebuy + addon = $1530 + 1000 incase of need of rebuy = $2500. If I do not rebuy, I will send the 1k back at break (Artanis11 can vouch for me that I've done this for him on multiple occasions)
If I lose $2500, we will be on AIM / MSN, your choice, and we can decide to continue or not, HH's will obviously be posted if rebuys are needed. (I play mostly rebuys and they are my bread and butter many people say, I do not gamble in rebuys over $11, but I will call off with 99 if two people are gambling everyhand for a stack *cupcake ne one*)
(I play 6max when not MTTing and will send you my graphs upon request, and have a few repuable sources such as Night01, SLog4[pG], quocy04 and gsr_01_integ that can vouch that I play a strong TAG style.
I will start with the rebuy and the largest stack possible, I play for first, I will give you HH's of any recent tournaments I've won.
I've won $30,000ish in tournaments up to $162 field in the last 30 days.
I Want 10% up to final table
20% FT
30% 3rd
40% 2th
50% 1st
$1530-$2500 investment, I have many reputable names such as artanis11, lostaccount, whamm! night01, nazgul and others who can vouch for my character upon me sending you your share of the first place prize.
First come first serve, I'm also willing to do this for any other tournaments over 1k on stars Anytime from Any staker. (I want to play the Super Tuesday weekly, PM Me!)
Thank you,
Good Luck,
Ryan

| | New Start by devon06, September 16
hey guys, whats up. been screwing around for quite awhile, moving around the country, basically just being a travelling bastard while taking time off from school.
decided it's time to start taking poker seriously again. moving to the city very very soon, and instead of grinding out 9-12$/hr for 40h/week, figured i should start taking poker seriously again. basically, i'm a lazy asshole and i really dislike work and i want to get the most utility out of anything as possible. so in the whole making-money regard, poker sounds like a good plan.
sadly, due to my huge fucking-around for the last while, my BR is in the shitter. currently at ~500. intend on playing nl25 until ~1000 then nl50. once i hit 1500, i'll start cashing out multiples of 200-400-whatever until i have my CC completely paid off and roughly 1000 in the bank.
once i have that shit all done, i'll take shots at nl100 once i hit ~3000.
am extremely unsure how long all of this will take, but i'm confident i'll be able to hit the 1500 plateau sooner rather than later and start cashing out/setting up the room in the city. will probably get a desk/new bed off of kajiji so it'll probably only cost ~400-500 for both, but i'd like to have another small chunk of change in the bank for random shit that comes up. already have internet/cable in the apartment and am paying for that shit too, so since i'm paying bills for an apartment i have yet to live in full-time, i might as well work my ass off for a week or two and head up there.
anyways, i'm gonna be updating pretty often i think. post graphs/whatever every other day just to keep myself motivated.
as of now, i'd consider myself successful if i played 5k hands a day.
anyways, later guys and gl
hands: 0
BR: 504.11

| | First session done by iPoops, September 16
and I'm still not busto!
Played 2032 hands at NL2, 4 tables. Was listening to The Ricky Gervais Show on XFM throughout the entire session. It's impossible to tilt while listening to that.
Don't have any fancy graph or nothing to show you all since I'm using PT2. Will post my stats at the end of the month though, just to keep track of myself.
Anyway, $6.78 up which puts my BR at $56.66 for some reason.
Plan to take the step up to NL5 at $100, NL10 at $200 and keep taking 20 BI shots up until NL50.

| | Partyyyy by Svenman87, September 16
Getting pretty pumped, I just moved into my new apartment. It's about a 10 minute walk to campus and it's a newer building. Going to have a hopefully awesome party this Saturday. I'm trying to be selective on whom I invite, but it'll probably just be a shit show at the end anyways.
As for poker, kinda put it on hold atm, really trying to do well in my classes, I spend about 3-4 hours in the library every day studying and doing homework. So far it is paying off huge, I'm crushing tests and homework.
I might try to put in a few sessions on the weekends or days I don't have much to do, but I'm worried I'll tilt and start raging 10 hour marathon sessions to breakeven etc.
Well hopefully I'll have pictures up Sunday with some sweet stories, maybe even some nudes (of the girls ofc...) if things play out well.
I shall leave you with this.

| | moved down by killmepl, September 16
So last couple of sessions made my br smaller... std things like AA vs KK, KK vs AA, KK vs QQ etc.
Moved down, hello again nl5.
And when I moved, it was like "WTF LOL this game is easy".
1,6k hands later...
http://killme.prv1.net/owning.gif
and other two tables ~200bb each.
Today I played like 1k-1,5k hands but not so impressive, more like Lady Luck wanted to balance things up.
I'm looking forward to move up to nl10 before end of September.
On Friday I have exam so no poker for two days.
Stay tuned.

| | Took a 1/2 shot by Night2o1, September 16
I'm currently taking a 1/2 shot over the next couple of session, I have a stop loss of "when I think I'm not playing good or lose 8bi". I played about an hour today for my first session of this and I ran pretty good and I think I played OK overall. I'll know for sure when I send the video to myth since he is going to take a look at it for me
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/56bc8.1stnl200shotsept16.jpg
A bit above EV too woo
In other news I'm taking a flight to nashville in 3 hours, going to be there about a week and I'm not sure if I will be playing much poker or not yet.. I'm going to visit a friend while he visits some of his friends? lol Looking forward to camping and fishing since I haven't done either for a loooong time.
