| Need a Change by hiems, January 05
Todays session was pretty awful. Down 3 Buy-ins in 1800 hands.
Overall im at 5.12 bb/100 over 40k hands...But that is including my first session at NL 10 where I was about 65bb/100 over like 1500 hands.
Past 25k Hands (Janurary) I have been at 2.61 BB/100.
I think theres something wrong with the way I play. I bleed chips by auto shipping in big pots cause I get into denial mode that my Top set is no good on a 3 flush flop and just auto ship full stack...
I currently play 10 to 12 tables of full ring. Do you guys think I should reduce tables?
But the problem with that is that playing like 4 tables of NL 10 would be way too boring for me...I can't spend my time doing that...Should I just play 4 tables of NL 25? My BR is now down to 450.

| Why should you always shove with KK or QQ? by MadJukes, January 05
Just a theory question. Why should you always shove with KK or QQ? I'm talking about Full Ring, NL5, where 3-betting light doesn't exist.
For example, I've never seen JJ call a full stack 100bb all in. Therefore, if you have QQ, it seems to follow that the only hands that will call you is QQ, KK, AA. Is that a fair assumption?
I'm bringing this up because I've run into a seemingly ridiculous amount of "coolers" so to speak, where my QQ/KK are either not getting action postflop, or are dominated preflop by KK/AA. Any thoughts/reasoning for microstakes (NL5-NL10) play on QQ/KK?
I'm playing pretty standard where I 5x bb PFR QQ/KK or 3-bet any previous raises to ~3x their bet. The trouble I'm running into is when they 4-bet all in.
Thoughts would be appreciated!

monstrous session! 9 tabling nl100 mostly. the ev graph doesnt even begin to show how bad i was running. coolers and gay shit like them hitting very disguised donk cards on the river and fuck me up. felt i played really well though. made some good big lay downs etc.

Decided to make some goals for myself this year because I haven't found myself motivated enough and didn't really have a reason to play
Currently at NL 10, playing more than enough of a bankroll
can't beat nl 25 because I'm a retard and I'm going to look for coaching
[ ] Supernova - I've been playing 5k hands a day with no problem on a full time job. I can make up for the pace on the weekends
[ ] Beat NL 50 by the end of the year
[ ] $10k profit - which isn't out of the question even if I stay around 24 tabling nl 10 - which I'm murdering even while doing 24 tables
Also, I'm looking for a nl 25 coach. I'm in China so we may have some troubles matching up times. But PM me if you're interested in doing a little coaching.

So that pretty much sums up my progress in the prop bet so far. Pretty standard. Would have liked it if i hit more two outers. Once, my AA didn't hold up against KK. I slapped Variance across the face. Doesn't happen anymore.
I've got the rest of the month of make 1k to win the prop bet. I think its doable, i just gotta log more hands. My BR hit 1k today and i've still got 130 in ungrinded bonus. Its pretty hard to grind the bonus on micros, it takes forever. Should be more smoother now that i've moved up to 25nl. The downsides of this limit is i no longer see Arcticbeatle on the tables anymore [the live pro from Australia who bet his friend he could make 40k in a year from 40 bux? He's thread is on 2+2]. Would be nice if i coolered him a couple of times. Or just win like 10 coin tosses in a row.

In other news, i'm thinking of running a workshop on how to run good. This game gets alot easier when you learn to hit sets every few hands. That's why i'm a good player.

In my last 13 sessions I've had 2 winners and 11 losers. Where's the suicide switch? haha
Just had my first winning session after 9 losers in a row, starting back on Dec 21st. That's exactly 2 weeks of pain and suffering. It was weird to hit hands, have them hold up, and be given good bluffing opportunities. That hasn't happened in so fucking long. I hope that this is the end of the downswing and not just a cock tease.

I hate being stressed and not really having anyone I trust enough to vent to.

Anyways I just had a second interview for a Personal Banker position at a local bank. I really want/need this job. I'll be able to go to night school and work on my two year tech degree in Fluid Power Engineering. Lots of bills coming up and I'm getting to the end of my savings from when I use to play poker a lot.
So it'd be so perfect if I get this job >_<
Also stressed because I moved back in with my mom for the moment while I try to sublease my other apartment near the college I went to for the first half of the year.
I usually am optimistic about everything working out, but I fucking hate living with my either of my parents. Really hope I can sublease my apartment asap so I can look for a new one hopefully within the next 3 months.

So I check my savings account statement today (never use my savings account at all so this rly sketched me out), and there was a friendly paragraph under some bold words "Important Account Information"

So yeah im currently using wells fargo, have deposited to FTP with my check card, and to PokerStars with my check card and instant e-checks. Any thoughts on this? Should I get a new bank account, and if so what bank?
