sportsbetting bad for your poker?by whamm!, May 19
ive noticed this each time i place bets on games i feel i dont wanna grind till the games are done and i know if ive won or lost, when i win i play kinda bad coz ive boxed a sportsbet and start spewing, when i lose i play bad coz im down on money fro the day.
any advice what to do here? what do u sportsbetting guys usually do to balance the two? im having a real tough time doing both, any advice would help. thx
ok so im almost all done getting my comp all set up and shit and im having probs getting the postgreSQL i dont know the set up shit or something i have everything dl but i cant get past the shit on the postgreSQL is anyone good at this shit that can help me out here im so close to getting done and getting back on the grind and this shit drive me crazy
Made 14 buyins or so in the last 3-4 sessions at NL100. I've noticed I make WAY too many thin calls with one pair type hands (mostly overpairs) on semi-coordinated boards and I get value towned with 2p type hands or sometimes a weird straight.
I think one of the biggest factors in becoming an exceptional poker player is discipline ergo making disciplined folds (who the fuck likes folding AA? EVER?) but sometimes you got to do it.
Going to play some donkaments tonight as I feel the urge to as of late and I'll be back on the grind again. Slowly, but surely.

I am playing WAY tighter than I ever have and my redline is losing at exactly the same rate. I am rarely 2brl/folding and such, which I was doing too much of before, I'm opening far stronger hands on average, etcetc. Man what is going on. At least I am only down 1 buyin over these last 14k hands, but I am like 5bi above EV.
Well I'm going to keep chugging at it but damn it man.. why can't I change this

Wonder what sort of hands I should start doing that with since my image according to my stats should be pretty damn tight. If I start 3betting TT/JJ as a normal thing (vs non sick nits ofc) from the button, I feel like I am overrepping my hand vs my stats and will get myself into trouble?

Well ive got the disk to reformat my comp now. i have a couple questions if anyone out there is good at this stuff
1. i dont know where the note file is kept on pokerstars cant seem to find it anywhere
2. i have the disk to reinstall windows but i have all the drivers copied onto an external hard drive and when it will ask for the drivers disk how do i access the drivers files from my external hard drive?
other than that i hope to have my comp working today and be back to the grind so please help me out here LP
Got the new Faithless album, and it is really good. I must say, it has been a while since an album has came along and just picked me off my feet. One track on the album just blows me away every time, called "Flyin Hi". It is possibly the ultimate tune to listen to if you ever have been stoned in your life lol.

I noticed recently that poker affects my mood, when bad beats/suck outs/coolers suddenly happen over and over for no reasons, i get semi-tilted and overall in a bad mood for the whole day. It changes my attitude towards people and i just can't let that happen. It was a hobby for me and i do enjoy playing, but it doesnt worth it, even for the couple of k$ i make a year from this hobby.
So i'm out ! I'd rather do something else that earns me 0 bucks than get in an emotional rollercoaster for scratches... So i will either spend the last 3k left on my account on donkaments for the lulz OR withdraw and go on a nice trip with my friends. Option 2 seems the most ev+, probably will go for that. Anyways, good luck to everybody, won't visit this site anymore except for the ROFL thread. Tchussssss
So I've been using dual monitors for a couple weeks now. Other than multitabling, I don't find TOO many purposes for my second monitor. The extra space is nice, and it's useful for FL studio and other programs that require extra space, but when I'm just using one monitor for browsing and whatnot I want my other monitor to serve some aesthetic purpose. For those who use multimonitors, any cool things to use your additional screens for?
