I have recently started grinding NL10 6-max and getting a ton of breakeven sessions. PTR says I'm 33% tighter than optimal.
I'm basically playing a robotic style with pf opening like below:
Suited connectors: Raise 3x on button, else fold
KJ/KQ/AJ: Raise and fold to raise/3bet
AQ: Raise, 3-bet in position, fold to 3-bet OOP
22 - 77: Raise, 3-bet in position, call up to 3-bet OOP
88 - JJ: Raise, 3-bet in all positions
AK/QQ: 4-bet, fold to 5-bet
Sydney LPers, a question for you (okay maybe 2)by SpeedyJack, June 27
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've blogged. I'll probably make a big update in a week or two when I've got nothing else to do sitting on a plane or in the airport, but for now I have a question.
I'm gonna be studying in Sydney at UNSW this next semester, and I couldn't help but wonder what the live games were like. Are the best games found at casinos? Which are the best ones? I'm 19 so I can't play in casinos in the States, but I'm pretty sure you can gamble at 18 in Australia, no?
Basically I just wanna have somewhere fun to cooldown/unwind on a weekend or two and maybe play some low stakes soft games and pay for the next week's drinking while I'm at it.
Also if anyone wants to hang out or something I'll be arriving July 5th and I'm not gonna be doing much for the first few days except checking out the city. I'll be staying in Coogee Beach.
just watched an epic series Leta vs Kwanro (tvz) i recommend it
i also recommend epic Snow vs Shuttle (pvp).
from his very first games i immediately sensed a great potential in snow, even though he was failing miserably youtube.com/watch?v=V-ECVAY3ODg (self commentated game). i am sooo excited to be right about him and to see the rewards of my trust develop.
I liked the note circles stuff for PokerStars, but I use the Slick Dark theme and not hypersimple and such, so I wanted something similar. I saw that there was something out there to change the frame color, but I didn't think that was easy enough to see at a glance, so I took a few hours and made my own theme that looks a lot nicer imo. Anyway, just thought some of you might find it useful so here's a zip with 2 themes for it (One for Slick Dark, and one for Slick Dark with Chairs):
To install if you have no other custom themes installed, simply copy the XThemes directory to your main PokerStars directory.
If you already have a custom theme installed, you will need to take a few more steps:
First, extract the zip to a temporary directory. Next, open the XThemes directory and copy all of the contents EXCEPT for XThemes.ini to your PokerstarsXThemes directory. Then open XThemes.ini in your PokerstarsXThemes directory with a text editor and add all of the text from the XThemes.ini in this zip.

Heading to a NL200 game in Queens in an hour or so. Finally found a game in NY! Super excited, haven't played poker in ages...like a month and a half. (OMG withdrawal).
Will be back in 16 hours to tell epic suckout stories and tales of how crooked dealers dealt setup hands all night long. And how I dodged the coolers like a Cereus superuser.
and yes, I will have a 16 hour poker session unless I bust.
May the poker gods smile on me. (and on all of you LP'ers who read my blog as well)

I'm on windows 7 so have set stero mix as my default working device.
Audacity records properly (when it doesn't crash) but the played back recording sounds terrible (very unclear, underwaterish).
Could someone please try recording this track (or any other) with a software and then tell me what settings you use? I've set recording settings in Aud to high (eg 96000hz, triangle, high quality, 32 float).
For those who still don't get it, i believe there won't be any need of devices for the next generations of consoles (i think), there will be a smart camera that will save your movements (if that wasn't obvious enough )
