A game in Levin had to delayed while Graham Spencer was escorted from the ground for making a--frankly outlandish--comparison between the touch judge and Adolf Hitler. And, in more inland North Island madness, a Hamilton restaurant is receiving abusive phonecalls and hungry customers as a result of its new offering of horse steak, a meal they call "Mr Ed is Dead."

The final Lions test was scrappy but conclusive, 38-19 to the All Blacks, concluding the third Lions tour whitewash in history. Tana Umaga scored a satisfying two tries after being repeatedly and unjustifiably attacked by the British press. [Match report] The ever gracious Sir Clive Woodward boarded his flight home reminding Kiwis that the World Cup's the only true test of a side. Now there's no rugby till August, when we can look forward to the Tri-Nations and the NPC (ahead of the end of year All Blacks Grand Slam tour of the UK - yep, it's a long season). Michael Campbell wasn't able to repeat his winning form from the US Open, but came fifth in the British Open at St Andrews. Boxer David Tua is set to return to the ring at the end of the August. No details on where, who, or why. The Warriors beat the Roosters, 24-22, to keep alive their hopes of making the play offs.
