American Government vs. Lp.net by jkpickett, January 26

Wow, the people on this site are like the American Government nowadays. They want to act so f-cking superior and then come down HARDCORE on you for making the simplest mistakes. Make you feel like you've done something soooo wrong by posting a bad beat hand in the hand discussion. Geez, if I could give back everyone's feel seconds they wasted by clicking on it I definitely would. How can I make good on this mistake? How can I pay off my debt to this society? I've only posted a few hands over my stay here, but I'll definitely make sure and check the 100000+ others that have been posted before me and make sure it's not identical to one before. Get a life guys shit. And don't talk about this shitty government being so uptight because I see many similarities

Day 23 by The72o, January 26

Party is unbeatable for me, no shit.

Today I lost set over set, flush over flush, 2x TPTK+FD vs made flush, AA vs QJ hitting kicker on turn, overpair vs overpair, middle pair vs two overs etc.

I don't know if I will play more today, maybe I should analyze my game to find weak spots.

A few thoughts. by DustySwedeDude, January 26

So I’ve been playing NL100 for a few more sessions. People make much more moves on this level and I’ve started to use 2nd barrel and even 3rd barrel at after a somewhat big procent of my pre-flop raises. I feel that I’m much harder to run over now and that’s nice. I’m also starting to suspect that I’m givning away some kind of timingtell because I’m not getting any action on my big hands even though I contbet a huge amount of the time. It’s not flopdependant either because it’s both when I hit something like A74 rainbow with AK and when I hit 699 with 66. I think that I’ll make sure to wait like 5 secounds with every bet after the flop from now on. I’ll need to learn to go with my read too. I’ve been right when I’ve been thinking that “ok, it’s only XXX to call for XXX but most he probably has me beat” and called anyway, which sucks. I’ll probably try to go more with my reads from now on and also make sure to make some unorthodox plays from time to time. With any luck that’ll give me an edge. I’m break-even so far on NL100 this week and my goal is to be a winning player within a week or two.

After few weeks of break by Gawuss, January 26

So I decided to write some posts from time to time. Here is the first one after few weeks break.

Today I've played 2 sessions, each for about an hour. I'll show you some interesting hands.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/136962

This one I played perfectly I think. Standard raise preflop with suited connectors by me then very good flop. Lukieboy was a fish, which was calling with any draws and basically with weak hands. I haven't seen XIII playing before, but after his flop miniraise I bet him on a set or maybe two pair. I have not clear but still 16 outs to catch my flush or a straight and the perfect 6 on the turn made my hand. This hand shows, why you shouldn't slowplay your aces that's the biggest pot I've won today.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137046

I was really pissed off when this flop came. I hate situations like this one when I've got rockets especially with Neuss in the pot. He was raising me with so many hands and I didn't like that. In this hand I bet him on AK, QQ or JJ. I think I should've bet somthing on the flop to check out what did they have. I dunno, maybe Neuss' bet on the river was bluff but I'd rather say it was a value bet.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?767242

This is a nice suckout by me today The Cleane has lost a big pot a hand before, so I thought he was angry and wanted to pay off and I called his reraise. Lucky turn saved my ass and let me have his entire stack on the river ;]. Yesterday I caught him on a bluff( http://www.pokerhand.org/?764418 ), pretty big one. He was angry on me cuz I've won few big pots against him. I wish he had more money at the table

http://www.pokerhand.org/?766514

This is next hand against Lukieboy. He was calling my flop c-bets almost every time and I wish I could play this hand differently on the turn to get more money from him.

My today's balance is +$263 . Nice for like 500 hands. Ok, so that's all in this post.

Good luck at tables ;] peace

January 26, 2007 by EnorD, January 26

So I accidently left my wallet at subway yesterday. When I went back to get it, my money was gone. Had about $150~ in there. Fuck it.

With the help of a certain person, I've started to learn cash games from the bottom up, starting at NL 5. I took the transition from tournament to cash quite hard at first, but now I believe I am getting the hang of it. Hopefully I will be out of the .01/.02 tommorow.

Stats for the day
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 1763 hands and saw flop:
- 158 out of 261 times while in big blind (60%)
- 54 out of 263 times while in small blind (20%)
- 189 out of 1239 times in other positions (15%)
- a total of 401 out of 1763 (22%)
Pots won at showdown - 48 of 106 (45%)
Pots won without showdown - 163

Starting Bankroll:
$25.00
Ending Bankroll:
$37.07

update by jonyy6788, January 25

I really needed money from UB to pay for school, so I topped my account off to $2,200 on Tuesday and screwed around at NL10 and NL25 and provide some cover play. Wanted to make sure I didn't dip below 2,000 so I get the check by FedEx. Just requested a withdraw of all my money on UB after converting this week's pts-->cash. Praying for no audit or something dumb.

I am planning on going to Full Tilt for a while again. UB's table selection can be a little tricky, especially in the afternoons. I prefer a higher volume site. RB+Bonus at FT won't be quite as good, but I will manage.

Current Bankroll: $1,250
Rakeback Owed For Jan. $135

See you next week Full Tilter's, I'm coming to take your money.

i'm a luckbox monkey by kantoiki, January 25

So anyway, went to sleep last night with a HUGE headache, no idea why but for some reason i woke up ridiculously early...8am and decided to watch cartoons while starting to play some poker and see if i couldn't get myself out of the downswing i'd got myself into.

However things weren't looking so great as the first hand at one of the tables: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137244 in retrospect i think i could have folded to the reraise but i think there are a lot of hands that i beat here? thoughts on this would be appreciated.
The next hand that was interesting was http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137242 not sure if i should have just called for set here or not, i find that if i call and flop comes all low cards i get stacked far to often by overpairs/sets etc

A lil later, http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137250 where i proceed to get my buyin back from the same guy that stacked my aces with his set, although i clearly sucked out on him this time. Very bad choice on my part, i'm such luckboxing monkey... karma soon caught up with me http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137251 and i got pwnD!!

HOWEVER much to my delight my LUCKBOX switched turned right back on with this marvelous one outer i pull http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/137301 and had poor ol buddy tilting like a mofo.

The rest of the session was nothing out of the ordinary but i was watching summerland while playing, its a tv series with jesse mcartney that i'm now hooked on. The story behind that was i was watching the first episode a week or so ago without realisiing it WASN'T a movie...and got myself hooked.
Started watching heroes, it really isn't anything awesome but its something to watch when i'm bored i guess likewise with poker in the dark eps (still hate the commentator) although gabe kaplan puts a smile on my dial when he plays both in poker in the dark as well as high stakes.

AUSTRALIA DAY WOOOT!!! Pity i'm stuck at home pokering away though, might go out later play some bball get some excercise and also looking forward to getting my ipod from stars soon (2-3 weeks apparently) but bitching about having to use itunes if anyone knows of a good surefire way to change it to being a drag n drop player holler at me...that goes for ppl who've moded their 360's as well... i gtta get mine modded, not baller enough to go out and buy games for 100 dorrar a pop.

OMG I LOVE 10NL by tae-g, January 25

10NL is going so well right now! I just finished a 45 min session up 2 buyins. These fish will call with anything and stacking ppl sets VS top pair is so easy.

I feel good. If I keep playing decent/running pretty well I should be ready to move to 25NL in about a month or a month and a half

down 1 stack of high society by Joe, January 25

today lady variance came to visit me and i lost some pretty sick hands in the beginning of the session. needless to say, it affected my game and i made some bad plays, together resulting in a -$1000 session. i guess i would have be about even (or maybe slightly down) if i won the hands where i was a big favorite.

also i noticed that the overall agression at my tables today was significantly higher than what i was used to. i had to play quite a lot big pots with very marginal hands (and i made 2 costly mistakes). dunno if it was just coincidence or not, but people kept 3betting me preflop all the time and also raising my cbets very often.

although only 5 buyins, the sum is actually quite big to me, so i hope i will be able to overcome this and play unaffected tommorow.

More Live Cash Games by tae-g, January 25

I played some more live 50NL with some college friends last night. I was continuing my usual domination of them (pretty fishy) when i had KJs and the flop came AKJ rainbow. I overbet the pot and get a call. Turn comes rag and i overbet again and my extremely fishy and bluff-tastic friend comes over the top allin, so i call. He turns over TT and i look happy. He gets up sad and about to leave, and I say, "wait, you take this with a Q on the river."

Sure enough that whore shows her smiling face and he takes all my winnings for the night so far, and i end up breaking even.

Definitely not complaining because these games are easily and profitable, and it was pretty funny when he jumped up screaming and yelling and like kicked over a chair when he hit his queen.

Also, im up 2 more buyins on 10NL and feeling good about 6-tabling it. Ill probably move to 25NL at $600 or $700.

GL at the tables all!

The Life of a Donk by DonVale, January 25

hey guys it's your old friend DonVale. I've been playing these micro limits way too long, bottom line. I have a minor score every once and a while but every time I find a way to lose a good deal of money, at least it seems like a good deal to me. I don't think it's that I do not have the skill to play at my limit of higher, it's just that whenever i grind out a few hundred I seem to tilt it away. Hopefully on like my third go around it will work out. I'd like to thank Ryanto and some kid from Colorado for giving me a new start when i needed it. I think I'm going to try and keep this blog going because I need to find something to actually write since I pretty much no work during my time in school. Furthermore, I think i'll post my BR at the end of each day and possibly a few hands that you could all help me with (That's if you are not going to charge me for your time lol). But, I wanted to thank LP for all the laughs it has given me and hopefully I can learn a little poker from you people.
