I played just 5k hands last 12 days ,but i slow returning to NL50.I played some NL50 hands today and cca 1.5 buy ins plus (500 hands) so i hope it will be still good.

So yea, I've started out pretty good (+4.6k and maybe 1k that I'll get from my 30% cashback) this month and if I keep it up it might very well be my best month every by far. I also feel that I've improved a lot the last weeks or so and I've actually done my far share of semi-sick stuff so I'm pretty happy with that. In short; I pwn.
November isn't very good so far, I lost almost every all-in although I was (huge) favorite most of the time. This bad luck affected me and I made couple of bad plays.

Never thought it'd actually happen to me but it has, I find I can lie in bed for hours without getting to sleep and this obviously results in me being in a zombie like state for the next day.
This results in me being unable to even try to improve at guitar hero 3 which i recently brought let alone attempt poker sessions.

So yeah here I am at 6am having eaten a Shepard's Pie (it's a meat pie with potato on top) and deciding if I should just not sleep anyway and go get McDonald's breakfast when I look through my previous blog entry to find this comment:

Being a huge SJP and Matthew fan- I of course went to see the movie. I was shocked and really pleased to see how much camera time Zooey Deschanel got. She was my favorite character in the movie- by far. I wasn't expecting that at all. Her facial expressions and deep voice were perfect for the quirky character she played. So now I am a huge fan of her's. Back to the movie. The plot was a little predictable (duh),but was truly a pleasurable one. I didn't go to the movie to be deeply moved- but I did go to see a great light-hearted film with an amazing cast. And I had success. I love Kathy Bates- so it's a plus that she's in it. Terry Bradshaw is naked at one point.....so rate that as you will. But all in all- a good time was had. Go see it.

hello, you may have seen a couple of my posts, i am trying to learn poker so i came here !
i played brood war with bigredhoss, and i remember posting on a forum about bad beats etc etc and hoss would tell me stfu you suck etc etc, and i was like ok i want to get better.
anyways, i play piano, i play street fighter games (sf3:ts and cvs2) and also melty blood, i play warcraft 3 TFT also. i been playing poker not that long, maybe like a year and a half at home games, and maybe 6 months online? but i have never cashed out before. which sucks because i lost hecka money hahaha

Last night I had a loooo...oooong 14k hand multitabling session where murphys law was in full effect. During my downswing of 11 buyins everything that could go wrong, did, and I got destroyed by more 3-4 outers in huge pots than I thought was possible. My all-in luck graph on PokerEV was -5 buyins alone, and that doesn't count the coolers.
Here are a couple hands which sum up the theme of the night.
Like anyone else, I have 4-5+ buyin downswings constantly and they generally don't phase me. Unlike many people who will quit after losing X buyins, I never do that. I play longer, I try harder, and I want to get unstuck before I stop playing and usually I do. Generally I feel I actually play better when I'm stuck more than a few buyins. Last night I did manage to go from -11 buyins to -6 buyins until I finally had to go to sleep, heh. My theory is that as long as you have a cool head and know you're playing good poker, it is +ev to fight your way back from a downswing rather than quit playing and become 'not in the mood' to play poker for the next X amount of days.
But wow, it hurts so bad for the beats to come over and over and over and over and undo all the work you've done for the past week.
Fortunately I bought and was clearing a platinum $650 bonus during this (cleared the entire thing) so my bank roll was actually up slightly at the end of the session.
For those who have been on the grind for a while, how often does this happen to you?
How likely is it to continue for 20k or 30k or 50k hands?
but still 3 bi up! im gonna wait till the tilt goes away to continue playing
