So I was on a date with this girl tonight which used to be a girlfriend of one of my best friends.

We first agree to meet up at 21:45 and I arrive at 21:30 since I'm always early for stuff and can't stand people that are late,she ofcourse shows up at 10:05 but she texted me like 3 times so I couldn't make her feel guilty for anything in hope of getting action later.Coolerd from the get-go.

So we finally arrive at the bar and guess what,my entire fucking crew is there drinking including my friend she dated(B from now on),and his girlfriend that I dated lolol...They were there chilling with some girl cousin of his which is apparently this girls great friend,that girl proceeds to say to M(we'll call her this from now on)how hot I am...I'm like 1 meter away and playing deaf cuz I'm a arrogant fuck.Meanwhile B is giving me some meaningful spiteful looks and I'm actually just trying not to laugh my ass off.

So we finally order our drinks (2 juices) and go sit outside.Normally the waiter brings her her juice and gets me a beer and shes like "Why did he bring u a beer?You orderd juice.",you figure it out.

So we start some small talk pretty much revolving about how great I am and how shes unsatisified with her current Bosnian boyfriend which is actually some kind of annoying motherfucker who texts her like 5-10 times within the hour.

The night gets better,a retarded 30yr old guy that also always hangs at the bar is apparently somewhat of a friend with her and decides its a good idea to sit with us two,I mean dude retarded will not stop me beating the fuck out of you if you pull this ever again on me.Ofcourse from here pretty much any chances of me getting something on with her seriously diminished.So she finally gets fed with his bs and she decides its a good idea to take off,but no!He decides its a good idea to take off aswell and tags along with us,but only after YELLING in the full bar "Is he taking you home or can I go with you two home?" at this point im fucking pissed and in the meanwhile them two chit chated in the bar I got fairly drunk,so im barely keeping my shit together not to beat him up.


So finally when we arrive at her house,I try to kiss her on the cheek and she responds by moving back and saying not that first,im like "WTF?",she SHAKES MY HAND and then proceeds to kiss me on the cheek and tell me to call her tommorow.

Too bad Floofy doesn't live in Croatia cuz I think we have a winner.

More proof I need to get back into drinking

So yea, today my sister told me that she'd downloaded the first season of Sex and the City. I've seen like half an episode with my roommate like half a year ago when I was bored out of my mind and even though I'd have to admit that I quite liked it and found it somewhat entertaining I didn't think I'd actually watch the better part of a season at any point. We saw 8 episodes and I must say that this TV show is rather well made. I think I only laughed out loud like 2 times, but I felt at least slightly amused a few times during each and every episode. Some of the stuff is really stupid, but overall it's kinda interesting and stuff.

Now, I've figured out a few things while watching this:

1. I really, really need to get back to Uppsala and my normal drinking friends. Sure, I'm having a good time here, but watching SatC indicates that I'm far to bored.
2. Gay guys are funny in TV shows. If I did one I'd include at least one frustrated gay guy.
3. Shouldn't lesbians be more prone to threesomes? Not that I'd actually want one, never really seen the point of it, but still?

Also, I think I made like just under 3k€ today. That makes me happie.

Well, today was an experience. Didn't do so well at NL10, I decided to quit after I dropped 3 buyins. I think I got coolered for 1 hand, as I got the money in at 70-30 and lost, but oh well. My bankroll now is at $220.

I think I played way too tight because I was scared of losing so much money compared to NL5. A standard c-bet is a little over $1 so that is a whole dollar gone to a c-bet. I guess I will have to get used to that in the future at my next attempt to NL10.

Some things that I think I need improvement on:

1) Don't play so scared, and play more aggressively.
2) Try to steal blinds more often especially when less people are limping in.
3) Play back against someone who attempts to steal blinds 100% of the time

So I moved back up to NL50 at the beginning of this month and so far it's been a violent ride. I've got a new strategy these days, because I realize that I cruised through the limits before, partially on heaters, and never really got the full depth of the game. Now I'm playing a lot more hands and keeping a nice large BR for my limit so that I have a good cushion. I focus on reading people and trusting my gut, and trying to find spots to make moves. Not so easy to find on NL50 since people suck, but there are places where they suck and give out money. So I basically drop my fear and go for it and don't freak out when I'm way off base. I just try and learn from it. This causes some swingy times till I really get a sense of the limit. I tried this @ NL25 and I was break even and swingy for a while, and then I found the little spots where NL25 players really spew or give out tells of when you can bluff em, and I took advantage and started cruising. I'm sure the same will happen @ NL50, I just gotta be willing to learn and take chances. And also keep in mind that just cause it works 1 time doesn't mean it will every time, hence the long period of time I gotta do this before I really feel like I know where the weak spots are. So I'm playing a much more "feel" style of poker than I ever did before, which is going to be ESSENTIAL to winning higher up. I can't just play ABC or go maniacal and hope for a heater, and now is the time to learn. Here's what this months graph looks like so far:

I'm also hoping to get back to platinum star which is a bitch to do @ NL50, but I'm playing a lot and figure if I get 45k hands in this month I'll make it. Saving my FPP as well, which I want to use to buy a $600 bonus. I figure by the time I'm both platinum star and have enough fpp for the bonus, I'll be nearing NL100, and a 6 buyin bonus is always nice to have clearing when you start a new limit!

I'm also determined to make supernova this year. I hit 50k vpp really fast cause I was playing a lot of hands @ NL100 and NL200 in the beginning of the year. Then tilt and downswings hit and I moved down limits and have barely made any vpp in the last few months. I have 4.5 months to make about 27k vpp, and I think I can do it, especially if I get back to NL100. My goal is to make 10k vpp a month so that I clear supernova early, plus that keeps me @ platinum.

I had it on in the background as I played. Crazy shit and some very interesting stuff in there. The religion part was the best cause I felt like it was very very solid. The other stuff on 9/11 and the banks wasn't as solid, but it wasn't as far fetched crazy as shit I've seen on the net before. I think that there's some truth in everything they put forward though I'm not sure how much and I'd have to spend time checking their facts myself before I bought into anything. But if their facts are solid then they put together a pretty damning case.

Anyway, I like doing poker with shit like that playing in the background, things that are entertaining me, cause then bad beats bounce right off me and I don't get tempted to spew or force things to happen, and I don't over-read people and level myself since I'm not sitting there bored trying to force action. I find that with the stats I have through HEM I can get most of my reads when the table pops up and I review them real quick, plus I then factor in timing. If I'm in an important hand I stop paying attention to what I'm watching and try to keep that main table up visible, and focus on timing so I can try to factor it in to decision making.

Anyway, figured I'd just blog a bit. The last few days (pretty much since friday) have sucked poker wise and I've either broke even or lost money in sessions. Today I finally won, which was nice. I was starting to spew by over-reading and getting impatient. Today I got rid of that and there ya go, winning session.

Lastly I wanna shout out to kimseongchan who I just found out via his blog is a fellow tony robbins fan. Keep up that personal power program pal =)

Last five weeks were hell. I had exam after exam:

1) programming
2) engineering drawing
3) general economics
4) marketing
5) accounting and financial reporting

two more to come, but luckily in september:

6) electric engineering
7) math

Just in case you wonder: I am studying industrial engineering, so it's economics plus mechanical engineering, the electric engineering is just the basics so we can later in the job "communicate with electric engineers".

Basically I haven't played poker since June 17th, only enough hands in July to get Goldstar for August.

So decided to blog,yes I said I'll make this blogpost more contentful but I obviously lied since I have absolutely no will to write a lot,on a sidenote I just got a digital photowhateveritscalled so I'll be taking some pics and posting them on LP,I can already see you all jumping in happyness because your favorite croat will be posting some pics.

Formings of social peer groups. (long term, male)

Member one is the Alpha-Male.

Member two is 2nd most alpha (obv) Typically in long term relationships M1 and M2 are best friends.

Member three is close emotionally and physically with m1 and m2. However, he is generally the one of the group who is made fun of and picked on. He is essential for M1/M2 (gotta add more detail here)

Anyone below m3 is introverted and has little to no effect to the workings of the social group. We will call them outcasts.

In a true group setting long term based, there should be no more than 3 members in a social group. However, the 3rd member of a peer group can easily be misidentified and seems easily interchangeable.

ex- in a setting with four people you might not even be an m3, you're an outcast. However, in a group of four with two different people and two people from the group before you are now the m2. Power, age, and social status all determine this and where your total rank sets you vaguely determines your position.

In the first few meetings among people who are not familiar with one another we will consider to not really be social. This phase is more or less everyone acquainting themselves with each other's alpha and determining ranks. Once ranks have been established social interaction can take place.

there is also a hierarchy of social groups in terms of alpha.

So. In this instance of theory, we define alpha as our feature which determines where we sit in social peer groups.

Rules

M1 Starts the group for recognition and fame. Being M1 is good for acquiring all of this within your equal female counterparts in terms of social status.

M2 joins because he is yet to gather enough power, age or social status to start his own group or because he has a secret "man-crush?" (i don't know how to describe this without making up a new term) for this person that he wants nothing but to follow and loves them so much that he has no problem forfeiting alpha to be associated with them

M3 joins because he is of a often much lower peer group and it’s his big chance to move up. Should he garner enough skill that rubs off of M1/M2 He will eventually upgrade. M3 is the expendable unit of all social groups, he is there temporarily to feed and grow.

M1 is typically the life of the group. He makes all decisions and leads the group

M2 will always agree with #1, if he isn’t agreeing there are serious problems within the workings of the social group. The group will temporarily break and if things aren’t resolved you will find both seeking new peer groups and both attempting to be M1(Except for m2followers which are described below). M3 will always follow one of these two in hopes of moving up the ladder. M1 should never fail @ forming a new social group however he may have "man crush syndrome" and in a power drunk thirst join a higher alpha group as a M2/M3.

M3 Can vary, he may either agree or disagree. Should he agree it doesn’t really matter, should he disagree he will most likely be berated for his comment and end up agreeing anyway or move on and try to form his own peer group.

In times when M1 is absent M2 will no longer disrespect M3. M2 can be categorized in two variations. Someone who always follows or someone that wants alpha glory. In the first case M3 will very often become the "alpha" of the two and actually act as the leader. Should the M2 have higher aspirations in his triangle, he has dibs on being the acting alpha in the absence of the M1. It seems, however a very common occurrence for the m3 to take alpha over the m2.

It seems as though M2's are the only ambiguous personality types. People who are generally M2's and are more of the "mancrush" type will always be M2's. Presumably because anyone who can be an M1 would only upgrade to a higher alpha group quickly in a m3 fashion and/or because m3's are only in the 3 spot because they are leeching trying to gain alpha.

in short m2's are generally ambitionless and happy with how things are. M1 and M3 have higher goals.

Furthermore, should the M2 be absent from the group the M1 will no longer disrespect the M3 and the M3 will move up to the spot of M2 immediately.

Short conclusion

Until your body can decipher everyone within the whole group's alpha level social interaction isn't social yet.

Alpha presides in both the groups as a whole in comparison to other groups and individually within the group.

3 people max for interaction although in some instances like a party I think the m3 can be swapped quite often in the span of a very short amount of time. However say the group was stranded on some island for the rest of their lives, eventually someone will take the 3hole for good.

The basis of my entire theory lies dearly in the fact that given enough time to know one another in a situation including 3+ people eventually all of this will play out.

In groups of less than 3 you are forced to be social and you generally unless way out of the other person's league in terms of alpha will have equal respect for one another.

Most of my sessions were normally played during 9pm-5am PST due to work in daytime. During the start of my career ive always known i was a +ev tag player. But i had tons of leaks most importantly the buying in for 50bb etc. However the last couple of weeks ive honed my FR cashgame skills into what i feel will always be a +ev player in the FR 25-50nl field.

I cant wait to be on my own starting sept 9. Moving out of parents house for 2nd yr in college.
