I think the worst part was WHEN it was called/not called. If it was in the first quarter...well ok, whatever. The last minutes of an overtime of a playoff that goes 0-2 or 1-1 when Boston has been playing their brains out to hang on? That's just fucked up.

If it were rigged for ratings it would have been Lakers v Heat or now Thunder v Heat...the spurs have always had low ratings

in the past yes, the new spurs have a lot of hype behind them, they are the best "team" in basketball, they score the ball effortlessly (whereas the old spurs were a super slow half court defensive beat down) I'd say they are easily the most exciting team in the west, and second only to Lakers in prestige. That being said heat obv have to make the finals

Edit: Frankly I do want to see the Spurs beat the Heat in finals...preferably somehow sweep them. Also I do think these spurs are probably getting higher ratings than the 04 spurs but that's not saying much.

I agree about the OKC/LAL series ratings but that isn't the point. The point is that when blake griffin shoves his arm into pau gasol's face and gets an And1 on a juvenile dunk it's b/c it benefits the league to allow that for more ticket sales. it also helps that no one gives a flying fuck about gasol and he is much better as a punching bag/rag doll than a lakers superstar power forward
