you can blame the condensed season for those injuries, or at least a higher risk of them

with rose/howard out, east coast is really boring this year
Come on Lakers/OKC, dont need san antonio waiting too long in the west finals

are there any compelling teams? who is everyone rooting for?
i guess i'd be ok if kobe won, cause if he won with this team even though i despise the guy, i would think "WELL DESERVED"

okc has more talent then any lebron lead Cleveland team ever had, harden is insane good, he should leave OKC when his contract is up and get a huge contract from some other team - and westbrook is a top 3 point guard. LeBron in Cleveland was just a superstar carrying a bunch of scrubs. That being said I'm surprised they never landed another huge star to play along side james

coward is the incorrect word.. he put his personal ambitions / reputation ahead of financial ambitions. When Shaq left LA, the following year Kobe said "bring in another star or I'm leaving", Gasol comes in and suddenly Kobe is a hero...

since this is sports talk, were here to argue
no way westbrook is a top 3 pg i would put
drose, cp3, derron williams, in any order in front of him. i also think nash, rondo, parker are still better.
westbrook has pure amazing talent though, def only a matter of time before he gets to the top 4 position, but not sure if he has the court vision/brains to ever break into the top 3. he tends to turn the ball over, and i think is too concerned with points/shooting (sorta like a young josh smith who used to love jacking up 3's)
as for LBJ, i want to see some fucking passion, i want to see some chairs thrown, some pissed off rants anything. i remember him giving up in cleveland, and it just pisses me off. i want to see him rallying his team, anything. like wade. remember when wade yelled at lebron in the series against the mavs? i want to see him give a fuck. i want him to stop caring about people's fucking opinions. i want to see him become the greatest basketball player EVER, instead he faddddddddes. people talk about once in a generation talent, and i was too young to watch michael jordan, but i KNOW that lbj will be the best player i will ever see play the fucking game. but come on it's time to deliver.
also pretty sure kobe is the most hated player in the nba, maybe 2nd to sasha vujacic
also about okc, i really miss jeff green but perkin is such a good add on. he brings mental toughness and a "fuck-you" mentality. ya, james harden is good, but has a good potential of being overrated imo. when you're the 3rd option, you have the 3rd defender on you. if he ever becomes the 1st option, i don't think he will have the same success he is experiencing right now

i remember you calling spurs on and Boston, how you still feel about Boston, they are the last line of defense in the east vs the heat

I'm not sure how you can call out LeBron James passion.. I think what you are looking for is for him to behave like a jackass (garnett for example) and hit his chest like after a bucket.. The difference between him and most players is his professionalism, he is well spoken (for nba standards), an intelligent business man. A lot of these NBA guys are just massive dumb asses who happen to be super athletic. The average NBA salary is ~6 million/year. Approximately 60% of NBA players are broke within 5 years of retirement. It's like saying Phil Ivey inst passionate because he doesn't behave like Phil Hellmuth. There are very few players in the NBA that play anywhere near as hard as LeBron does on both sides of the court... Your not going to see him behave irrationally because it's not in his personality, maybe you prefer an Amare who is gonna punch a fire extinguisher and break his hand after losing a game

heat threw that game on purpose imo. im sure if they held a significant lead in the 4th they woulda played it strong but it just seemed clear to me that they probably figured going into today it might be better for the team as a whole to take it more casually then just play hard game 5 @ home for a guaranteed win in front of the miami fans. teams who are close to 100% sure they wont lose the next game at home will do this because it relieves the stress of having to win on the road and possibly extending a series. gg knicks

what. maybe an argument for the heat can be made that they "threw the game" but surely u dont mean "threw the game on purpose?"
seeemed like the knicks fought tooth and nail, and the heat played slightly less than well and STILL only lost by 2.
imo, pretty sure the coach is saying "put everything you got into this last game, lets end the series go home and enjoy the next few days off" but i guses it's a freeroll as well

They definitely weren't hell bent on getting the W is all I'm saying really. You can tell there is a clear night and day difference from start to finish of game 4 that it wasnt the same miami team on the court
