Everyone is different, but can tell you what made things "klick" for me.
I stopped posting hands, because most of the advice was wrong for my style of play, kinda gotten in a good niche, and try to use my image along with that niche, and even though ppl can come with good analysis, it might be wrong depending on how you play. Feel I get more confident if I do it that way. (Feel it's much better to read other people's hands though).
And when lots of people are saying good shit, you're maybe trying to take in all these tips, and they get miss applied or miss interpeted.
Also helped my winrate LOADS, by cutting out hud, and playing 2-5 tables. Cutting down long sessions, never over 90 minuts, love the idea of (You accumulate lots of mental garbage as you play, hands, notes, reads, cards, just stuff). And by quitting after that amount, you empty the bin, and can go again fresh.
I do make exceptions, if I lose 2-3 bi, I stop, if I feel I'm winning good, or on a heather, I don't stop, and I make up silly rules, like "If I lose 2 bi, or I feel the heather has stopped, I stop.) And I get family or brother to pick up food and I sit till it stop. (One time it didn't stop in 11 hours, brutal, but not complaining lol).
Also mix up ur playtime/study time. What I feel REALLY worked for me was, if I win in a session, I play the next session, and if I keep winning, well then I'm always playing, when I lose a session, the next session has to be study of poker, I then re-read my blog, or read in one of the great books, or some articles or movie. And then I'm allowed to play again, so that way, you keep ur confidence up, if you eat right, train right, mix in study and breaks, you won't feel shit or bad or have a nagging feeling when you lose, because you did what u could.
Ok, sorry for the rant, just tried to put in all the best stuff I do now that I didn't do before when I was a marginal/break even winner =]
Hope any of it helps, gl hf |
