My mouse isnt gliding very well, i have one of the rocketfish metal mousepads with the "speed" and "control" sides, but my mouse is just kinda stickey and feels crappy. I like my mouse tho and dont really wanna get a new one, anyone know of any good DIY ways to get this shit slidin again like new?

what? the back side of sandpaper?? Thats just paper? cuz the sand part is on the other side. sand paper - sand = paper..
my mousepad is legit, im looking more at my mouse at this point.

thats what i said when i first had a shitty mousepad and needed one and i found a piece of sandpaper in the house in the shape/size of a mousepad. im serious man give it a try, the traction from the sand on the backside does the trick

well thats just my cheapest fastest solution for a mousepad crisis problem in the house and u cant find anything else.

fuckin things r 10$, on ebay its only 11$ to buy a whole new mouse.. anyone got any DIY ideas? i was thinking of trying to setup a micro hovercraft idea inside the mouse, fan pushing down onto a small pad making the mouse kinda frictionless.. but i duno i think it would make your hand cold and just crap out if u pressed down hard enough on it..

anyone got any DIY mouse skatez ideas? I tried some aluminum tape shit and it failed hard. thouse skates r made of teflon, i wonder if i can get a like teflon spray or tape or something..

i would still recommend to buy mouse skates, since they are well worth the 10 bucks, especially if you are sitting infront of the computer using your mouse alot..

i currently use teflon tape and it works great, regular tape doesn't work. you could probably glue something on the bottom and it would work... like some piece of plastic or w/e

...why not just buy a new mouse? Seems like a lot of work when you could just buy a std mouse for only a little more than tape+time.

I found 2 used $10 microsoft mice in the laundry room last week, someone was nice enough to not throw them in the trash. Mice are replaceable. =p

Interesting, was considering buying those mouse skates a while ago. But when i got my new mouse the sick 'glide' feeling lasted about a week maybe two weeks, do those hyperglide skates last a lot longer?

Change out the feet on your mouse. I dunno where, but I know you can buy new ones online.

ok i figured something out, i took a little clear packaging tape, and covered the exiting worn down feet, then i took a tiny bit of olive oil and put a dab on each foot for extra slippage.. i think cooking spray might get me even further.. but so far this is working good (or better) than new.

heres a pick of my ghetto mouse setup..

got the tape on the feet, and i used a suction cup to one of my monitors and some wire as a mouse cord bungee, it works great.

I used to play alot of cs, and have invested alot of money into finding the right combination of mice, mouse pads, skates etc..

For me, my optimal setup is a Qpad CT Large 4 mm, Logitech MX518 with hyperglides..

Dav, they are well worth the money, if you game alot, they probably last 3 months or so, but you get like 3 sets in one packet of skates.

my mouse, i bought these skates about 2-3 years ago, just before i stopped playing cs, they still work wonders for poker etc, but if i would take up counter-strike again, i would have to purchase a new pair..
