oh and JDS is a fucking beast.

it feels soooo wrong that JDS and cain have to fight each other. oh well, will be awesome and interesting to see how cain does against a beastly boxer who still has his speed, tons of power and is fairly well rounded, and how JDS does against a monster wrestler that has pretty damn good standup and stays active constantly.

yea jon jones is definitely scary. i wonder if theres anyone in the lhw division he wont be able to get down. he got vera down with fucking ease, although vera did say he was not gonna try to defend takedowns hard in the show and rely on his bjj.

he kinda rubs me the wrong way though. he seems nice enough but his i used to snitch on kids who smoked pot and his sloppy ass stand up taht gets so much love. i dunno he kinda tilts me. though i still think good active bjj practitioners that arnt scared like shogun, machida, and lil nog would sub/sweep him easily.

jds is awesome. i like him and carwin a lot. if mir wins and gets the title shot as ive said before im going to go on monster tilt.

barnett followed up by kicking him right in the dick. not an inside leg kick either. a fucking front kick right in the dick. it was horrible. mighty mo proceeded to say that he couldnt continue. the japanese officials proceeded to stand around for 15 minutes arguing while mighty mo kept saying he couldnt continue. after the 15 minutes he did. i dunno it was pretty shady.

barnett got the takedown and mo tapped before it was close to even locked in lol.

JDS's style of striking is really really really well set for MMA. it's got a lot of safe shots to the body and counters correctly. He throws power shots when opponents backpedal because no fear of takdown. he's very smart.. super impressed by him and at HW if you can have that type of speed you really can do something. in some ways i think his potential to be dominant could be greater then cain's because cain is a wrestler in a division with a ton of wrestlers/ground guys while JDS is a striker and no one is really close. Pretty sure he'd horrificly decapitate kongo.. So all depends on his TDD.

I mean people think he's small but at 6'4" 240 he's basically arlovski size and speed. But i'm sure his chin is way better. He's also younger then Cain (25 and Cain is 27). I mean i still think Cain is more preppared based on what i see, but JDS for sure seems like he could be a real monster in HW... time will tell especially if they face ecah other.

i mean love fighters like gsp/bj/etc... but there is nothing like the HW division. I mean no matter how good bj penn's boxing and ground is he'll never beat gonzaga ever. GSP is a beast but cain would probably melt his brain.

the HW champ is the real king of MMA and it's just awesome to see all these beasts in the division.

Haven't seen the Penn vs Machida/Gracie fights? To make such a broad statement involving two of the best p4p fighters in the world is kind of ridiculous. Especially since your yard stick is Gonzaga. I would never underestimate those guys ever.

And also if you're logic is that they are bigger therefore stronger blah blah, then I could say that if BJ Penn was 250lbs and the same skill level as he is now, he'd rape everyone in the HW division. Same for GSP. And if you shrunk Gonzaga (to use your example) or Cain to 155 and gave them same skills, they would get RAPED by BJ.

I agree with fox. Part of the appeal of mma for me is that its a lot closer to a real fight than something like boxing. There probably isant anyone in the world who weighed 155lbs and below who would be favored in a fight to the death against bj.

And thats why the heavy weight division is so appealing. The best hw mma fighter is literally the best fighter on the planet and would be favored in a fight against anyone in the world. Theres something special about someone being the absolute best in the world at something, especially something as universal as fighting.

And seriously gonzaga would kill bj everytime.

Yea if they had the exact same skills thats true but who cares? In a real fight if you put fedor or lesnar against bj bj is just going to get killed and thats part of why hws are appealing.

That's because Lesnar is like double the size.......I don't get why it's appealing to lack skill, and just be stronger.....Which I guess the appeal is more KOs and such, but that just seems like a fish mentality to watch MMA....But I guess it just depends on your level of interest.
