tbh your modded bmw is pretty tacky. get a real e46 m3 or just buy an evoIX/sti and put jdm wheels on it. theres really no point to buying an 11 year old european money pit unless its an e39 m5 (they are both huge money pits btw). as far as your trade goes youre prolly getting a good deal but its really not worth the cost your gonna take on being as the car is so old.

Anyways, definitly take the Benz for the exact reasons you stated. I don't really want to say your BMW is too normal or whatever but shit son, that Benz has freaking 400HP... lol where are these people coming from? BMW's are one of the best cars to drive. Mercs are just inferior lol. I would drive a 3 series over most mercs any day. My daily driver is a 325 91, I can't begin to explain how fun it is to drive this car daily. Its a great drive and a great example at 2k how BMW makes good cars.

doubtful that old rustbucket merc would be at all fun to drive for reasons baal said. unless all you want is a bit of acceleration in a straight line. id take a 200hp small and light handling car over a 400hp funeral car anyday

ok guys my beemer is the standard 3 series with 190HP inline 6.. it weighs in at around 3500 lbs... the merc weights the SAME and has a supercharged V8.. it does a low 4 second 0-60 so it is not by any means heavy and sluggish, it also has almost the same gas mileage as my car..

well i talked to ket for a while about all of this and he gave me some pretty sound advice. Im gonna get some advice from some other close friends and maybe just drop the whole new car idea.. i duno right now

3500lbs is extremely heavy and it will be sluggish because of that, regardless of those 400hp which will have a good acceleration but that thing will handle like shit, corner like shit, brake like shit etc.

if you are bored with bmw and have an opportunity to change your car you should do it

baal cmon.. it just depends on the car it self, without driving it u cant just judge it like that... e46 bmw m3.. 3500lbs.. amazing handling, cornering, ok braking.. it really just depends on how mercedes built this car.

except that the E46 is built with good handling in mind, this thing is built with the "frail ass of a 65yo man" in mind.

yea i gotta say its a little boring, and the extra 1.5 feet of ass on it just seems dumb for a car with 400 hp, its gonna start sliding soooo easy.. its just whatever, im over it.. im gonna stick with my car and keep on the grind till i can get something i really want.
