from everything ive seen so far.. BW is complete and utter shit in comparison to SC2.. SC2 is really the best game ever, you cant just turtle and wait til 200/200 like in BW.. You wont see the whole metagame turning into 1 strat (protoss fast expo) like BW did. Theres so much more going on, so many ways to burn someone and stop them from just turtling all game. Theres actual COUNTERS in this game! Thats something BW fans wont like.

SC2 is going to put BW to shame. The only people who cant see that are just realizing that they need to spend another 7 years practicing exact build orders to even get decent like they were in BW.. Doing things on their own/new games scare them because they dont know how to play anything that hasnt been specifically laid out to them by Koreans.

Skyze you ever even watched the professional scene? Its the only RTS game in the world that after 11 years still continued to grow strategically as in new builds were discovered all the time, how can you expect there not to be a few standard builds after those years.. even chess has the standard openings every pro has to memorize but that does not mean every game turns out to be the same.

dont agree and way way way too early to write sumthing like that.

its 1 week after beta start with maybe 10k max 15 k players worldwide. we dont know shit about balance and "deepness" of the game. bw was the best rts ever made cause of the speed,balance,gameplay and all the little skillful plays you could do. only time will tell if sc2 can even come close.

what if in 2 months we see that the whole game is terrible imbalanced and for example each race has only 1 viable build or all games are won or lost in 8 minutes cause cheese is the way to go?


also there is still obv stuff that needs to be changed. reapers doing as much building dmg as sieged tanks,zerg lack of spellcaster,weak hydras for the price,overpowered queen inject,weird mechanics with the mule,protoss lack of antiair etc . and most of that is still questionable cause we as said dont know shit about the game.



/edit also your point about turtling is plain wrong. if anything with the mass of mobility and backdoor mechanics in the game(reapers,stalkers,warps,nydustunnels,flying,drops etcetc) and how strong you can eco from 1-2 bases with the boost abilities seems to favor passive "turtle" play instead of aggressive fighting for mapcontrol and expansions.

zerg is way way too powerful right now vs protoss... mostly all the games i lose are against zergs who know how to abuse tech switching

Question for you Zerg players... I will probably only play Zerg as I did in BW... I looked at all the units for Zerg and they scrapped Lurkers, WTF!?!?!

Anyways, it doesn't seem that Zerg have any "godly" units like T and P do, besides the Ultralisk... But I'm kind of glad Blizzard didn't give Zerg a super unit as that would defeat the purpose of swarming..

How does Zerg late game feel?

I don't get to late game that often tbh, but aside from ultras (only used them twice), the new guardians are pretty sick. As long as the other guy doesn't have air dominance, brood lords hands down destroy all ground.

tbh so far i thought zerg seems kinda stupid atm. mass lings or/and mass roaches. depending on enemy mass hydras or mutas after.

t & p seem to use much more mixed,tech and cast units throughout the whole game.but iirc erg has a unit less atm so maybe a new one (or a combeack of the lurker) will happen sometimes.

google helps. out there on any major filehosting site (fileshack,rapidshare) and as i heard also on some gaming sites ala gamespot.
