lets look at some rough math. if they are indeed allin every hand then everyone else at the table should be going allin also w/ 55+, A9o+, KJo+ as a pretty acceptable range. If this is the case more likely than not someone will be allin with them with a dominating edge every time, so how can it not be -EV for either of them?

^pretty much sums it up.

Well, Elky cashed in for ~10k in the event.
Way to be a jealous douchebag, seriously. And I have completely no idea what the fuck u wanted to achieve by making a topic and informing people u reported him. Making u a 'righteous hero of the community', since u report every cheater? lol.

Btw, thinking this is +EV for him ( if it was openly admited on chat on the table ) is just LOL^2. Fuck me, I would be happier then anyone in the tournament if I would have 2 ppl shoving every hand on the table.

they werent all in every hand, when people limped/raised/shoved to them preflop they would fold, and they were 1 position apart so they were prob all in like 50% of hands and shover always shoved late position. And the thing is they are garunteed to be called by a random hand instead of the hands u listed in your range. gambling like this will be slightly -ev but will give u such a HUGE stack that u increase your chance to make FT etcetc.

a analogy babs said in msn to me was that.

imagine there is a fish 1500bb deep (what brainwish was at the first break) on a 6max cash table, when the fish folds i could shove everyhand and u can call every hand to boost out stacks so we are get super deep with the fish and potentially stack him. but obviously this situation will probably never happen, but surely u see the comparison as the pay structure of tournaments favour the top finishers. so by doing this elky and the other guy has a much bigger chance of making the big cashes.

The first thought I had was OMG YOU RAT!, but it kinda seems wobbly did think he was getting cheated and Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here that he wasnt just doing this out of spite to elky. But wobbly you could just tell him in chat instead of overreacting like that and getting him into trouble for such a thing.

Why would they give this player action in this manner? He didnt agree to flip prior to to the hand being dealt.

If he limp/called allin then wp by him and if he shoved KJ or something expecting to get called then thats a bad play by him.

if you knew exactly how LP.net would react, then respect for not giving a shit and standing to your action and reasoning behind it and trying to argue rationally.

Still it's wrong, that drug analogy of baal and mine pointed it out well: if your friend does drugs, you don't report him, do you? Doesn't even have to be a friend, i would report a complete stranger neither.

The difference here is you thought that the action would affect you personally since you thought going all-in every hand would be +EV for Elky and -EV for you, so that's a reason to do it, but your assumption was wrong, so there is a hole in your argumentation.

I admire Elky a lot. I really do.

That being said, the rule is not meaningless, its true that if one player goes all in every hand its EV- for him to do so, but if he persuades the whole table to go all in every hand, it becomes EV+ for the whole table, if they are above average players. So the rule MUST stay and Elky's account should be suspended for a week like its normal. It is not to "punish" Elky. It is to prevent people from engaging in this behaviour.

Obviously, no sane person, including the PS staff thinks badly of Elky for what he did, but I'd think a lot of people will hate Wobbly and not without good reason.

Btw, I don't have a problem with Wobbly, as I think he does believe he is correct. But Wobbly, seriously, you need to reconsider your mindset about rules. Rules are for the good of everyone, but they occasionally should be broken for the good of everyone. Actually in Elky's case they shouldn't be broken. But c'mon - weed is harmless and maybe even beneficial to human health (srsly) and cigarettes are legal? How can you report your friend for smoking weed? Some laws are just bad.
