I think the magic of Diablo isn't the pvp, or the chat. It's the trading, hoarding of items, the orgasmic feeling you get when a legendary color item drop, a few seconds before you identify it, and when you do get what you're hoping for, all excited jumping in your chair, you hold your breath and you lean forward to examine the variables of the prefix thingys.

Hehe, I instabought digital copy, in case that in some weird parallell universe that'll increase my chance of getting in the beta.

But then again I've been checking for key every morning, and before bed time the 6 months, and then a week ago or something I read a bluepost saying something similar to "Beta invite now availabile in the eu"!!

Beta sucked/sucks but if it's only 5% of the game then it'll be legit. I didn't even like D2 but I'm stoked for D3

There were no runes in D2, they were added in LoD, and the runewords you're talking about where added in 1.10, 4 years after LoD.

I have completely lost faith in blizzard so I doubt they are going to patch as well as they used to, but it is still relevant to point out that all this bitching about how great LoD is seems retarded when you're comparing release D3 to 1.10 LoD and later.
