AI Acceleration

Chatgpt is pretty dam useful for coding I have to say, I use it every day to help me write a program. I can ask it to do about 6 things in a question and It will spit out 50 lines of code with complicated nested loops and all in about 20 seconds, with about 95%+ of it being correct.

People shouldn't confuse these programs with Artificial intelligence though. I don't think this software brings us any closer to Artificial General Intelligence, since humans will never be completely understood by just looking at statistical inference.

AI is useful if use right if not then AI no good

Hmmm, really thinking about getting into AI art and only training it on my art and inputs and see what happens versus adding in my favorite artists. Don't really know fuck all about machine learning but I don't think I have to to be honest.

Anyone have any idea whether I should go with DeepDream, Artisto, or Prisma?

meh, not really happy with any of these. Might have to try and use machine learning frameworks to create my own art.

hmmmm. it's kind of interesting what some of these tools can do. It's just making me miss painting and my actual imagination even more.

although so far i would guess the tools i am using are pretty crude compared to what is possible out there.

So, as I am slowly learning brute force statistical art it is both fun and frustrating. Fun in that it is fascinating even though I am totally limited at this point. Frustrated because I know what I want to do but am unable to do it. Learning machine learning and Tensorflow might be over my head or it might not be. I'm hoping someone comes out with something a little more all encompassing and that is also easy to use. I already know what I want to try and how I want to train the thing I just don't know how to do that.

I shouldn't be so bummed that I am Alive but man, I really got to find better stuff to do with my precious time that is withering away as I type.

Withering away as I type. My life withering away by the day. I try to learn how to die but that is tough to do.

I shouldn't really be depressed. I am lifting weights and taking creatine. That is a real depression killer. I go to a job that can be repetitive and dull. My therapist says that I am very intelligent and that I probably need some "mind candy" on a daily basis. It also would be nice to have friends. blah blah blah.

Maybe I'll learn how to code for the 5th time. Although, I already know how to code with my good buddy Chat GPT.

I get through the day just to get through the day. That equates to some sort of soft misery.

It really does boil down to help, I'm alive and I want. It's like not even Seneca can help me. I'm in trouble.

Make sure to take my meds and read Seneca before sleep. I'm in the range of reasonable sleep. I seem to just end up listening to music and creating collaborative ai digital art. It's just what is dragging my attention right now. I would paint more but it kind of ruins the vibe to keep everything contained so no drop touches anything but the canvas. That's a lot of pressure when I'm trying to have fun and be free. I really should look into getting a studio here in town. That would make me infinitely happy or at least I think it would for a period of time. There really are very few guarantees in life. I might do 1, 2, 3, 4 paintings and be in paradise before the spirit leaves me poof. I may die tomorrow. So, enjoy the present.
