yeah calling turn isn't gonna go too well in general vs utg, you are left trying to hero call, it's probably a fine river to do it if ever at all honesty but it's still gonna be losing a majority of the time and I'd rather do it if they had a larger range of draws from another position pf

it's a 4 handed game I don't think this guys UTG raising range is particularly small.

I think deciding whether you fold the turn or not is based on what he will cbet with on the flop (3way pot) and then continue on the turn.

would he cbet JT, AKss, or possibly any 2 on the flop? is A9 the weakest thing he could have that he cbets 3way and continues on the turn?

a lot of ppl have bad ranges for situations like these, I think you should be able to form some type of opinion of the type of player he is.



I don't play cash games much anymore but I win a lot of chips in anonymous tournaments on bovada vs thinking players by cbetting with almost any 2 in 3-4 way pots after early position raises preflop and the showing continued strength on the turn. People will fold top pair to stuff like that because most will not play their speculative or weaker hands this way.

Villain isn't utg, they are calling from the bb. Having 55 blocks a lot of flop draws. Idk, is this really a tough hand? Haven't played online in a long time.

You guys write essays about UTG range 4 handed being tight etc and miss it's a BB donking not UTG cbetting ? lol

Unless you have a specific read he is a massive whale who does this with random hands, it's not a tough hand at all, your hand even blocks his main bluffs on flop.

'wait for a better spot'. What does this mean exactly? Either it's plus ev or it isn't. If it's even slightly winning then it's a call

I'm in agreement with blizzy/rob that this is very -ev call without reads.

He polarized himself. I didn't think he'd donk a set on this dry board when he's almost guaranteed to get a cbet. He had to be 2 pair+ here or air. Guess I wanted to see. I gave him too much credit thinking he'd donk a hand like JTs or A2s with backdoor possibilities when in reality he's just betting his hand.

It wasn't a tough hand. I was just trolling the guys who got the positions wrong.

Not too sure what I meant, yeah my bad I read the hand pretty quickly/position. I think I meant it's probably slightly minus EV overall so wait for a spot with higher EV.

I missread this hand all around it's bb donking, I'd be alot more happy about folding here, you are probably way more behind then
