Not a huge amount of history with villain, but all his stats are very tight... low vpip, low pfr, low 3bet. So, seems nitty? |

I would be reraising flop, this only leaves 55 and occasionally TT that beats you. If he has it you get stacked anyway, but you have to remember that those player would probably stack off if they raised combo draws or AXs.
River this depend on how nitty, if he is a tight passive player who would never call without top 2/set/straight on river then ok check cause he might have KJ/Q9/AQ. I think in general when a tight player(not pure nit) check river he generally doesn't have you beat. 8 isn't a major blowout, I understand this is multiway but he probably would just be jamming his sets or KJ. Still close I guess on river, I wouldn't raise turn against either. |

Thanks, that pretty much mirrors the advice I got from someone else I asked. I didn't raise flop here because I felt like opponent would fold a weaker hand if I did, but maybe I should because I could be doing it with a combo draw?
Honestly on river I felt like he either missed a draw or was checking a set. Did not expect KQ. Guess I was giving my opponent too much credit. |
