Looking forward to watching miocic and cormier. Been fading out of sports as of late but that will be a good fight. Surprised to see puerto going big on cormier i felt like stipe handled himself really well last fight

^ Could go either way. But yeah.. I'm leaning Miocic too.

Cormier won their first fight via TKO, and he won the first 3 rounds of their second fight before he got hit with multiple body shots in Round 4.

I've already seen who the better fighter is, and I'll take the fighter who is more skilled in MMA, has better fight IQ, and is at even money.

Remember, this is Cormier's last fight before he retires, win or lose. He will enter this fight at his best, and expose the holes that Miocic still shows in most of his fights (even in their rematch).

^ Miocic arguably has the higher fight IQ tho, being behind three rounds and then coming up with a solution at the fourth.

And there's also the match vs Ngannou.

Miocic's corner told him to go to the body. He was still making the same mistakes in their rematch that he made before, which is why he lost the first 3 rounds. Cormier's cardio started to become a problem, which lead to the body shots being so effective.

This fight will also be in the small cage, which favors wrestler. All other PPV events have always been in the big cage.

As for the Ngannou fight, it has zero to do with the Cormier match-up. Ngannou was a green fighter with big power and nothing else, while Cormier is better than Ngannou in every area of MMA (even the boxing, since Ngannou is not a good boxer, he literally throws wild punches with power in every punch, hoping to KO you).

Not sure but I think it was Miocic who decided on the fly to go for the body. That's at least how I remember it.

Anyway, Cormier is 41 and with the weight I'm not too sure he'll look good this time around.

really hope DC gets crushed for calling stipe a baby because he complained about eye pokes lol. that being said i'm leaning towards stipe, i think DC is just too old at this point and stipe's hair is looking good

PR curious why you picked rozenstruik over JDS - unless you just think JDS is over the hill?

I hope he gets crushed cause DC tried to claim moral high grounds vs JBJ but is actually a piece of shit as well. He's 41 and his cardio wont get better. Miocic adapts well from fight to fight. The only issue is the cage is small so less cardio needed and less place for Miocic to run around

Rozenstruik ITD, or JDS decision.

I can see it being a boring fight most of the time, but JDS is slow and leaves himself open to counters, and Rozenstruik is a counter striker with decent speed for a heavyweight.

I am passing on the fight.

Depends who you ask.

I think Pichel has better wrestling, but Miller is strong in Round 1.

I am rooting for Pichel and I think he will win, but the fight is close. Pass for me.

The ones in grey fell through. Got a few good early lines in general and in particular a great early line on Pichel at +140. Later added a bit more on Pichel by decision at +180.

JDS looked good. And Miocic looked like he lost a bit of fat.

Nazgul    Netherlands. Aug 15 2020 12:20. Posts 7080

I added bets on Brown -150 (before the weighin) and Kamaka -170 (but thinking about hedging now and betting Kelley +200).

Bit unfortunate that Burns came in so overweight. Not a good sign in a COVID world to me that usually just means he didn't get to train as much as usual.

I get it, but even though I respect anyone who enters the cage, ultimately I just don't think Daukaus is a fighter as much as is needed at this level. I would expect him to fade pretty hard after R1. Happy to be proven wrong though. I was following Porter a bit on social media and he's really been preparing hard and eating well. Really committed guy, which is not always the case for a fighter at this level.

^ Yeah.. I got Brown too. Bad sign for missing .5 lbs. It means he prolly tried hard losing the weight and coming in short. I'd rather see something like 4 - 5 lbs overweight as it almost looks like the fighter didn't go thru something horrendous or avoided going thru something horrendous.

And I already got Kelley. Just betting blind. I heard he's a bad ass.

And I'm not totally convinced with Burns at -230. Dunno.

Might bet Pineda depending if I'm a bit after Kelley, Daukaus, Brown and Pichel. Lol.

I actually ended up betting Kelley at +220 so now I have a nice freeroll plus I added some extra money on Kelley since I think +220 is good in general.

Cashed out TJ Brown. I got a bad feeling. He could has out.

R1: Souza
R2: Yoder
R3: Yoder (Souza was too inactive. The headlock at the end where she held her for 30 seconds didn't win her the round either.)

Ashley Yoder 2-1, imo.

----------

WHAT THE FUCK??????????????

The only clear round was Round 2... How did Souza get a 30-27.

I'm jealous. Got no live betting. I would be waiting R1 to finish at O'Malley vs Vera, see if O'Malley is tired or somewhat tired then pull the trigger on Vera if I did.

I think it's the safest way to do it if you want Vera imho.

I added Burns/Pineda U1.5 $23.40 for $20.

Added Burns +280 after R1, even though Pineda dominated the round.

Different levels of striking and speed. Rozenstruik just needed to let his hands go, and we saw what happened.

Easiest $200 win I've had in awhile (I wish I had more!).

Did you see DC's eye just now?

It looks fucked up.

That clearly affected his performance. Don't act like Stipe was just so much better.

I don't know how much I won tonight across the board, but I am up (maybe $380?). I had a couple of bad beats early in the night, but I was doing well after I hit a live bet on Vinc Pichel +285 after R1, then won the Rozenstruik -115 bet for $200. My only bad loss was -$500 on Daniel Cormier -- as I said before, it's too bad he got finger-fucked in Round 2, as he couldn't see out of that eyeball for at least 65% of the fight. Also, 5dimes cancelled my live bet on Stipe, which is why you don't see a bigger profit on my 5dimes account -- oh well.

think the eye poke was near the end of round 3 with 10 or so seconds left, round 2 is where stipe almost finished DC.

DC looked done at the end of the that round (asking if he dropped when he went back to his corner, pretty clear he didn't know where he was). looked like he was losing round 3 pre-poke pretty easily, i had it 2-1 going into the fourth.

i don't think DC was coming back from being down a round going into the fourth with no eye poke, considering how that fight played out up until that point.

the poke sucks for DC but ironic all things considered
