I don't really have the knowledge of NL1k games meta but this is a spot I do get in quite a bit, small 3b with low PP and you want to hit set. From what I've understood at lower stakes rakes makes it a bad call, but in the NL1k structure it might be an ok call. It obviously plays like complete garbage when you miss. He probably just doesn't think you call with worst very often after you flat the fullpot bet on turn, not sure if thats a punish or a good realization by him.

I'd imagine overpairs check back less than 20% on this river no? Sick check by villain
