Then run multiplayer vs computer. The builds are great and the computer will kill you and expand all over the map if you let them. It's not one of those old custom AI maps which "cheat" but it also isnt as cumbersome to install as those starcraft AI ones I used to post here. Just copy, replace file of any starcraft version previous to the latest one (1.23) which kind of broke the AI patch.
I just finished playing with it and it's the best one yet, even for long games. Playing versus two computers will get you killed for sure, unlike before. Perfect for noobs who just want to learn the right way or 100apm D iccup players like myself who just want a more competitive AI which uses standard modern builds and not dumbass cookie cutter 1998 ones lol

I would play w/e, anywhere from $1/game to $100/game (I would probably set a a stop loss in the area of $500-1000 for myself).
Although if your apm is 60 and you haven't played for 10 years we would probably need a fairly dramatic handicap, like I give you vision and $10/1 odds or something, depending on which race you want to play.
I suppose gambling isn't absolutely 100% necessary :-p

Been playing DFS since around 2014, a little poker, a little other stuff, but mostly retired.
grinded around 2 months of SC:R last year and got to around 1750, but my hands are so incredibly slow now, would be down to play some non money games but I'm so shitty I'd rather watch slightly better guys go at it and obs
I'd guess drone is around a 2100 level player (in my mind when the top guys were in the 2700 range, maybe ratings have changed in recent times).

What race do you play? I play zerg exclusively; I have (or had 2 months ago) very strong ZvT, decent ZvP, weak ZvZ (dodged ZvZ my whole life and generally have poor zergling control).
Paypal should work to pay you; also I have .035 (about $300) in bitcoin lying around in my coinbase account back from my high-frequency crypto trading days which could work as long as you didn't beat me for more than $300.
Fisheye was the best slow player in the world. in 2003 he probably had like a 115 apm and was a top 3 foreigner. He legit might have 60 apm now without having played for 10+ years, but he would still be good.

Well yes I was very good and Protoss 16 years ago. 115 APM was probably my real APM, I think I got it up to 130 at some point but I was always slow and wouldn't be able to compete with any high lvl player of today as they mix macro and micro way better than back then. I was just better at understanding the game than my opponents but I wasn't physically superior, just outsmarted them.
Before 2003 I was mainly a Terran player and I played a bit of Zerg as well like 20 years ago :D, we are sooooo old.

Joined the DC for the fun of it, might give the game a go once again. I fired remastered up a few times when it came out, but I got frustrated that my hands can't follow my brain any longer (I used to be decent at BW like 10-12 years ago).
Also I don't really have time for video games as much as I would want to, but this whole discussion got me itchin'.
Alright, we played a handful of matches and set odds for a match on Thursday if other people are interested in betting.
I played Z, Fish played a game from the other 3 races. He took the ZvZ game, and we decided on 3.5 to one odds with him playing random on fighting spirit. We played 10 games at 10/35 per game, I won 8 games he won 2, so the odds set look very reasonable. At the end of our games in our sessions, his APM was 120ish (a far cry from the 60 stated earlier in this thread :-p ), mine was usually around 210.
I think our games Thursday will be open for observers or maybe streamed for fun; if someone else wants to bet I'd take a little bit more action (although nothing huge, an additional 10/35 or 20/70.

Daut I have a 2240 account (beat dewalt in placement match and had high mmr from last season lolz). But tbh my average level is way below that of current top nonkoreans (dewalt bonyth eonzerg trutacz dandy terror koget is something like the top 7), however if I'm playing my best then I can give them good games / win single games. 2100 is prolly fair for a 'not in peak form', but I think I go up 1-200mmr skill wise if I play 100 games in 2 weeks.
I might have to find a better setup, playing with keyboard and mouse that are not Starcraft optimized on 30inch. It's weird to suck that much but fun as well

I think most of us had our fun when SC Remastered was released and we've stopped playing now. It was pretty fun during the first couple weeks when there was a lot of people around.

We upped the stakes $20/70, the person in the lead changed 4 times over the day. Towards the end I DC'd in a ZvZ where he had an edge, so we decided to double the winrate for him next game (20/140), he won, and then he won the next 2.
15-7 for the day (not including the DC), I got hustled ^^
So I've finally tried playing bots again and this time they are way, way better than ever. I haven't won a single game (D, D-, D+ prob 2007 iccup) against these updated bots compared to last time where I could beat every single one. I've also found out how to play bots the easy way, all you need are three things: droplauncher, bw 1.16.1 (thru abyss download), and the bot files (.dll and others that come with it).
1.Run droplauncher then in settings menu point to starcraft.exe
2.Then in the edit menu point all bot files for each bot you wanna play. Different bots have differing BWAPIs mind you, some have extra one or two files include those in pointing. Droplauncher will ask you the race, bot file and, bwapi versions, set those correctly to get the max ability of the bot
3. Create a melee game in starcraft, then go to droplauncher and join. If everything is set up correctly the droplauncher window will display initializing processes and the last portion will be it setting the race to number "x"
Thoughts on the bots skill level:
It's improved by so much I haven't taken a game off the bots I've played so far: Iron Bot and Locutus Bot (T and P). They are no longer "dumb" and don't engage badly or force the action when outnumbered or outpowered. They also like to micro tease and avoid contact only when they have diminished health, so goons can own your lings really hard if you're used to just throwing them out there. Their micro is not perfect yet but they will right click or shift move towards your tanks or structures so turtling isn't going to wipe out a ton of units no more. They will also macro up pretty fast in a 12 minute game the computer had 8 bases vs me while keeping me busy by harrassing my front. It also built tons of gateways when resources allow it. Lots of fun/frustration lol this ain't easy anymore.

WC3 is the game I play more and am relatively a lot better at despite liking sc1 as much if not more. My hands just aren't fast enough. I think i got near 1,900 mmr or so. I'd be down to gamble on some games if you guys are settling in crypto. Some 2v2s would prob be fun.

cant get droplauncher to work, having problems with java runtime. dont really see any FAQ covering this, did you just download, unzip, run, and it worked immediately/

yeah but you have to disable any kind of windows defender, avast program since it really doesn't trust how java does its business. plus if you have to redo it, delete everything you extracted and do everythign clean, with a non-firewalled or anti-virus enabled computer since some files have been quarantined already. If Java errors are the only problem then this fixes it, but remember to do a clean install of droplauncher and remove the old directory
