I think Jouban owns Grant, also like OSP, Rountree, Aldesanya and Holloway.

Not surprising Adesanya is the favorite. Surprising it's almost 2:1 though...was expecting like -140. Kelvin's boxing is being slept on by the line. Still think Adesanya gets it done but feels like the value is on Kelvin's line
Gasteleum is one of the most overrated fighters in the UFC. He's the Jim Miller of the MW division but for some reason people rank him way too high

Uhm. He just beat Jacare in what I thought should've been a unanimous decision. And Jacare is the guy everyone thinks should really be getting the title shot. Adesanyas certainly more talented overall but don't be silly now

I actually just realized that they are fighting for the interim Lightweight belt and not the featherweight belt. Then it struck me - why not fucking Poirier and Ferguson then? Apparently, Ferguson actually has some mental issues and his wife went as far as filing a restraining order. She is not his ex-wife, she is literally the woman he s married to. Sucks a lot, the dude doesn't even spar in his training to not receive head damage and it's kind of a dark irony that he s the one to get a mental health problem
At least this way we might see Conor come back and kick the ass of whoever wins the belt so he can have his multi-million rematch against Khabib after

I don't know why Adesanya is the favourite tbh, he hasn't fought anyone that good, I mean Silva isn't what he used to be, not even close.
He has shown great promise, but being the favorite against Gastelum???
Hes 7 inch taller and has 9 inch reach adv and hes 29 lol

If thats your argument.....
Also Gastelum is 27 and has the reach and height disadvantage in virtually all of his fights. And he was correct that Adesanya's shots against Silva were weak, if any other welterweight had the opportunity to smack Silva with such clean punches he would've knocked him out cold. The only advantage Adesanya has is his style of fighting, its actually terrible for Gastelum
He has knocked down every MW that he's faced before by the way

Don't think it's crazy though I do agree the line should be closer to pick'em. Honestly just think this fight is going to be mostly one way traffic either way
I'm just really sold on Israel as an overall fighter/prospect. And I'm not basing it off his win vs a 96 year old Anderson. Kelvin is unique though so this is it for Israel
Like Botelho, Turner, OSP, Jouban and Anders
This card actually has some low key possible barnburners

Lack of fight IQ never ceases to amazes me sometimes
Poliana gassed as hell...decides to throw a spinning wheel kick
Mueller finally starts landing heavy shots and Poliana literally falls to the ground from exhaustion...Mueller doesn't force her to get up for the only way she'd possibly get a finish and instead does what Poliana wants and just lays on her for the last 45 seconds
Gimme that Poliana $ though

I was hoping Botelho would get a R1 finish.
Came close with the body kick in R1, but sucked at following up with strikes.

I think the sport doesn't naturally attract smart ppl + exhaustion plays a huge role in your ability to think quickly

R1: DP 10-8?
R2: DP 10-9
R3: Max 10-9
R4: DP 10-9 (close round, but the damage done goes to DP)
R5: Max 10-9 (DP wasted a lot of time at the end just holding Max against the cage so he could drain the clock -- hopefully that doesn't hurt him in the judges eyes)

Round 4 was 55SS for max vs 36 for DP. Big difference. Don't see how damage makes it DP's round. Agreed with the rest.
The same way plenty of fights, like the Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit fight.
Condit clearly won the 5-round fight, but the judges gave it to Lawler because he landed the heavier shots, while Condit focused more on volume but still didn't hurt Lawler much.
If you land 20 leg kicks vs. my 10 power punches to your face, I win the round.

how do you guys think he does against Khabib? so fucking happy for the diamond
he gets absolutely smashed like anyone in the division
Khabib is like a tank in a mini cooper division
Look at how much bigger Poirier was than Max, now imagine that Khabib is bigger than Poirier.
and yeah Gastelum's strategy was terrible, he had a very good chance to win if he tried to grapple. Adesanya is gonna have a tough time vs Whittaker. Whittaker survived huge bombs vs Romero, Adesanya's shots are nowhere near that power

really baffles me that someone who has wrestling as his background try to strike 95% of the fight vs a striker background.. c'mon
Its soooooo common, I think that many grapplers train striking, get a few KO's because their opponents are expecting grappling and they fall in love with it and forget what makes them great.
Randy Coture, Cain Velasquez, Daniel Cormier, thats how wrestlers should evolve into striking.... not like Werdum or now Gastelum are doing it

khabib as well.. wrestle fuck them to make their legs be jello then out strike them and make silly comments "i even beat you in striking har har" :D
the thought process behind striking there is so silly "i want to show the world im a full mma fighter and not only wrestler by only striking vs a guy who only knows striking"
