Damn addicted to her streams, they are somehow very relaxing.
She has an acute tourettes, but has a great life philosophy, it's pretty inspirational actually.
And yes it is a disability but hilarious at the same time, she seems to be okay with people laughing at it
I just love to hear unique's people's stories and she's definitely one of them

Example:

Her wisdoms

Explaining her situation:

When you are so desperate you have to monetize your neurological disorder. Capital in the 21st century.

She was finding an outlet in push-to-talk games for years that were the only place where she could pretend to be "normal" before someone pointed out she should do streaming and sounds like a voice actor.
I for one think it's beautiful someone literally unemployable in conventional terms can find a living, these are literally the best times to be alive in history.
She's not even allowed to drive because of her motor ticcs

I for one think the world would be a better place without bitter people like you
Instead of someone with long term depression and a very anti social disorder/disability who manages to find her niche career when literally the only job she could get is picking up seaglass and sell it or live off of disability benefits like shitton of people do in council estates in the UK

Just think for a minute about that

like seriously
she'd be straight up killed in the past
or be in an asylum and gotten a lobotomy
Instead she can make a living and show other people with the same disease it's okay to be who they are
If this is what capitalism in 21st century is
It's fucking amazing let me tell you

Fucking love capitalism

And I never watched women streamers, don't follow Instagram models etc.
This is different in my mind and she's a very unique person

I have nothing at all against her, I'm saying it's just another indictment of the current system when people are pushed into turning their disability into entertainment value. The commodification of mental health shouldn't be a thing. You shouldn't have to resort to streaming video games (or sell your body) to a bunch of nerds on Twitch at all, but this is taking it to the next level. She produces nothing of value and has 220k subscribes on YouTube, making montages of her tourette's and people's reactions to it. And it works only because she's pretty.

She is not unemployable, she just can't really work with the public, unless she is very good at suppressing it in public (many are). Maybe she is actually very good at suppressing her verbal ticks but she "lets loose" for the sake of her viewers' interests, we can't know. Even if she was unemployable, she should have disability benefits, and feel no need to monetize her disability. It's strangely reminiscent of old freak shows, but at least she has no one deciding for her when she has to work.

Also you're a hypocrite. If she was a slightly overweight girl with a flat chest and a dollar-sized mole on her forehead but she had the exact same "life philosophy" and gaming skills you would be paying zero attention to her.

No it actually made me look into tourettes, and many other people as well, and people with it seem to be very thankful to her for bringing the awareness out

Ethan from h3h3 has a very mild version of it (eyebrow twitches)
And he's just entertaining, so is she

My sister has a disability and believe me the world needs more people showing young people like her that she doesn't have to passively stay home depressed and on benefits
But that she can actually can get accepted and not hide and find people that do accept her

You're right in her looks and build how she looks but in a different way
For me at least
That it just adds to her comedic timing
That's where humour comes from
When things Appear where you don't expect them to
Why a rough looking guy wouldn't have that automatically

What does it matter that you were ignorant about Tourette's and you now know a little bit about it because of her? It doesn't do anyone any good. "Spreading awareness" has absolutely no meaning if it doesn't lead to action. Like, if someone sees a GSP video against bullying and they stop bullying, he has raised awareness. You just got information that satisfied some personal curiosity. There's probably hundreds of disabilities you don't know about, are you going to look into them too?

"passively stay home on benefits" -- it's more dignified to be on benefits and actually do the things you love than cater to some weirdos' fetishes on the internet. She's having parasocial relationships with people, she's not developing great friendships and building a great life for herself developing some skills. There are people out there who would accept her and with whom she could build reciprocal relationships. We don't live in the 15th century where the average adult would think she is possessed by the devil. She doesn't need the internet, in fact she is basically trading her soul for money because of it. I am not blaming her, I would do the same in her situation, that's why I blame the social structures. I don't think it's a dignified life and I hope she won't do it for very long.

Communists are so sad. It's fucking awesome this chick can make money and create a brand and do well. I guarantee people would rather feel good about building something for themselves, rather then be on disability and being reliant on the rest of the population to support them through taxation.

This girl has literally made a life for herself, and Loco just to keep her down leeching money from tax payers.

You know what. Was a long day yesterday and I just got triggered
But people have different values and understanding of the world.

For me and pretty much all the people on disability I know staying on benefits not having things for yourself to do Instead of feel like you're making it yourself is pretty depressing.

But I met people who say having a job is ridiculous and you don't have to be the part of the system that live in squats on purpose.

So I appreciate you have different set of values Loco, one of the reasons of why I love capitalism and democracy, you have the freedom to do that, mostly. And that's how pretty much all comedians and entertainers are successfull anyways. They polarize and attract a fanbase, but inevitably repel other subsets of population, and that's okay

LOL if you think that a disabled person will normally forgo their benefits -- their social security -- because they have found a supplementary source of income. You are really naive.

I'm doing the opposite of "trying to keep her down", I said I would do the same thing in her situation, didn't I? My point is that it's not a good life. Being a twitch streamer is just another grind, and grinding isn't living. You talk about her like she's living a dream life. She is doing this out of necessity. She's not being truly appreciated, she's not growing as a person or creating something of value, she is not even popular because of her gaming skills but because of her looks and the fact that she is a freak show and she turns people on by saying inappropriate sexual things uncontrollably.

The difference between me and you is that I have respect for human life, for human potential. I see the most complex organic machine that can be found in the known universe being reduced to different forms of slave labor -- when I know that it is not necessary -- and it makes me sad. This is an auto-exploitative form of labor, she exploits herself, her disability, for attention and money. This is assuming that the whole thing is not a hoax since she has apparently zero proof of the many extraordinary claims she has made about herself and her life, like living with 200 animals. (By the way, that's one of the things you can do, take care of animals for a living, Tourette's doesn't prevent that, and it's actually useful.) Here's what a reporter said: "Even among Anita’s big fans, there are those who can’t believe the whole story, or that a person’s life could be this rich with improbability. But in four weeks of reporting, I wasn’t able to get corroborating evidence about the most colorful details of Anita’s life. As it stands, this is her account, shared by her."

The reporter also says, "She says she receives hundreds of messages each time she streams from men propositioning her for any variety of things. “We all know what it’s like to go to a bar or a club and have someone you’re not interested in come onto you,” Anita said, laughing. “It feels a little like that, but instead of one dude, it’s a couple thousand.” and also: "Sometimes, a viewer will offer her a monetary donation and, to trigger Anita’s Tourette’s, writes that word in the message description. It’s not fun and games to her. If she tics too much, she says, it exacerbates an autoimmune disorder that causes her to vomit blood.

People think it’s funny to trigger me with trigger words but what they see they think is very cute and funny. What they don’t see is the aftermath when I can’t speak properly for a few days, and I can’t eat or I start puking blood. "

Wow, what a dream life indeed.

well she's learning
has mods now that autoban ppl that trigger stuff

It's standard twitch environment if you hate that you'd hate all streamers

Comedians get hecklers IRL too and online it's just multiplied

Big difference is that twitch streamers aren't useful. Not saying that everything that exists should be useful, but comedians are useful, they use humour to pass messages that they otherwise couldn't pass, to get people to think differently (at least that's the comedy I like). Often times the hecklers get owned by the comedian and you get to see their wits in real-time. They are also not dealing with the anonymity of the internet and all of the toxicity that this brings out in people, so it's minor in comparison. And it's short. You don't have to grind that shit for hours every day because you know you have to take advantage of the time where you're popular before people move on to the next new interesting thing. As a comedian you can spend a lot of time on yourself, living, reading, while you're creating a new routine. It's a creative endeavour. Making highlight videos from streaming is essentially mechanical.

I mean
you're complaining about people making money on the internet on an internet forum here
I have great respect for streamers and youtubers that put the grind in, as I do respect comedians who definitely don't have it easy

As I said we clearly have different set of values and that's okay, I respect that.

That's not at all what I've been doing, I've expressed my concern that we live in an age of abundance and yet the most vulnerable people have to subject themselves to undignified work and find ways to convince themselves that they love it, and on top of this it's labor that doesn't produce any value. I'm sure she has other passions or will eventually have other passions that she would like to put most of her time into, but she won't be able to, she has to capitalize on this opportunity to monetize her illness while it lasts. I think it's sad. It's okay if you don't see that.
