didnt know where to post this, probably dosnt matter really. Atleast this thread is somewhat alive and ive been here before!

Came over this video and was abit stunned, thought it was powerful, dark, humorous and beautiful, an absurd ride!

Not here to start any discussion really, just felt like shareing!

Apparently the animator is working on a full film that is almost done, this is one scene from it.

Cause you're mindfucking yourself like I did, then I read the characters and they're basically Greek, Macedonian... which is the same thing not to be mistaken by the current country.. Then there's Roman empire and its 15 diff names and Israelis are in like 5 times, as well as egyptians and arabs with their 15 diff kingdoms/khaliphates/empires

Ofc there are some which I simply couldn't recognize e.g. Babylonians, Assyrians and Canaanite and who the fuck is the first guy supposed to be... prob o.g. human in africa that was leading total war with other tribes

Baalim   Mexico. Jul 19 2018 00:37. Posts 34250

I did notice the egyptians twice, one in white tunics and another in fancier attire and also jews like 10 times, but it still would be nice specifically know who they are in which period etc.

Corporation makes a carefully calculated campaign designed to increase sales in certain political grop in a higher proportion than loss sales in another one.

The add is obviously awful and people who say "It just asks men to be better, whats wrong with that?" fail to see that this is just ideological bullshit, that if the genders are reversed and they showed an add asking women to be better, depicting women being manipulative, nagging, histeric etc there would be a massive outcry.

Also notice the races of these men, every single "offender" is white, even in a scene with like 20 dudes, yet all the "white knights" are black that is no coincidence, its just SJW garbage.

Funniest thing about that ad is how much it showed how anti-SJWs are the same as the SJWs. There's been 50+ threads about it in /r/jordanpeterson since it came out lol, talk about 'triggered' and 'outrage culture'. Also, we love capitalism except when it makes ads that indoctrinates people into thinking like post-modern neo-marxists.

Here's a funny one that got 3500 upvotes on this sub.

>Marxists for 150 years: capitalism commodifies everything, including values and its own opposition.

So are these JP fans calling for the erradication of Capitalism? or are they calling for the boycott of a company that did something wrong in their eyes?

Don't buy Nutella if you don't want the destruction of Orangutan's habitats, dont buy Gilette if you dont want SJW ideology to spread, this isn't anti-capitalis but on the contrary, this is capitalism working as it should.

Hahahahahaha, yes it is working very well indeed! If we all stopped buying Nutella, the orangutans would be saved! And let's boycott Gillette, I mean, the multinational Proctor & Gamble, which we respected because they rose to the top of the Competence Hierarchy, but now we ought to end their domination with the power of our dollar at work! Oh wait, most of the "competitors" in the cosmetic section are just different P&G products, meant to give the illusion of choice. I'm sure most Peterson fans are going to print this list and carry it with them because they have been triggered by an ad that tells them to be decent. It's part of the ~Hero's Journey~ now. If they have financial troubles, they'll never jump on a sale for any of these either, and it's totally going to change things.

Why the hell are you talking to me about the general population and removing the context from the quote? I didn't say it triggered most people; I specifically said it triggered the staunch anti-SJWs -- a minority of people. Peterson probably has the largest following of people who would negatively react to that ad and not shut up about it. 50+ threads in a few days on it is simply ridiculous.

its internet nobody can stop some autist or paid shills (its pretty clear both sides have them) from spamming threads, besides its mostly outskirts of the internet if you werent looking you probably wouldnt know about it while SJWs are heavily politicized and have MSM and politicians backing them pretty much forcing everyone to participate in their madness. If that ad was directed to women or black men mainstream media wouldnt shut up about it for days.

hummm yes, I think its fair to assume that the CEO of P&G is extremely competent, way above average IQ along with most of its executives.

[quote]but now we ought to end their domination with the power of our dollar at work!

You are making the same mistake I adressed before, its not about bringing down a corporation, its about making a personal choice to not buy a product/brand throught his if enough people think the way you do the sales of gilette products will fall and they will realize SJW ads are bad for business so they will stop, you dont need to bring down gilette or P&G.

Oh wait, most of the "competitors" in the cosmetic section are just different P&G products, meant to give the illusion of choice.

Wrong, every single product from P&G you listed has thousands of competitors, they are very though markets with a very high demand elasticity.

they have been triggered by an ad that tells them to be decent.

Your intelectual dishonestly in clear display, the ad talks specifically about toxic masculinity, it has a ridiculous double standard gender wise and also is racist, I already said that above but you decided to ignore it... dishonest.

If they have financial troubles, they'll never jump on a sale for any of these either, and it's totally going to change things

Its a matter of integrity, when facing poverty some people steal some don't, the same happens with consumers choice. (obviously I'm not implying they have the same ethical importance)

I used to think corporations are some massive overlords that cannot ever be taken down and that they could abuse the people without any opposition, but the thing is, the market crushes corporations. If they do dumb choices like the GIlette ad, they open themselves to a snowball effect which could make them disappear no matter how big they are.

Also, people are getting annoyed by the ad because its so blatantly fake that it makes you wanna gather the whole management of Gilette and punch them all in the face....not because the ad is telling them do be decent... what?
People are angry cause they realize that it's not "toxic masculinity" thats the problem, nor other dumbass shit the media tries to feed down our throats. People are tired of the division. It's not men's fault, it's not fucking women's fault, its indecency and weak people. They are just tired of this crap, and no wonder people get pissed off from this ad when Gilette tries to do what media does, except this time it was through the usage of an anecdote from which they want to monetize.

You are falling for a fallacy here, thinking that just because an entity that works in the system of capitalism has done something wrong, then the whole system is wrong ... .cmon... I do agree that capitalism will eventually fall but not because of those reasons

P.S. sad part is if i wasn't using an electrical razor I'd still be using Gilette since they are the only decent razors out there, everything else is a total crap

I think it is vital to understand that, and that alone can shape the way you view the world.

Corporations are very inefficient given their size, and their capital leverage isn't enough to compensate for that, corporations are as powerful as they are in todays market because they can buy the government so they hinder oposition through it and cheat the system like taxing in many ways with the state power that is for sale even in countries without legal lobbying.

Normally you would assume there was no way Netflix could topple Blockbuster, they had all the capital in the world and they could have developed a streaming service, but they didn't because the company was simply too ineficient, filled with bureacratic dinosaurs, lets not even go that far, PokerStars when it was a private company it was running smoothly, impecable customer service with an insane brand loyalty but its customers, but it became big and went public and it became a shell of what it was, the leadership only cared about quarterly profits while any change was impossible because it had to pass through ridiculous amount of bureocratic hoops.

As team online if we wanted to change profile pictures we had to send the picture to the design department, they would retouch it and approve it, that took several weeks because they were apparently overloaded with work.

I remember we told them that in those promos where you had to collect all these cards (Ac, Kh, Ts etc), when your hand flashed it didn't let you see your cards for a second and that was extremely annoying for multi-tables, so much that we didn't click "start" in these promos because it was too much of a hassle for a few extra bucks in EV, well this very important suggestion that could have been easily changed never happened because it was a bureacratic nightmare.

If the trend of wealth accumulating on the top continues for long it will force a change, so far taxation is supposed to solve this, but in reality it doesn't because the very top has the tools to evade this system through many methods that people slighly lower on dont have, so its the middle-up that tends to get redistributed harder ironically agraviating the trend.

I think Bill Gates and Buffet are paving the road to voluntarism, altruism in people who amassed money beyond its utilitarian value should be one of the main focus of our entire society, it sounds to me like a much more viable system than simply try to erase hierachies through collective force.

I haven't shaved with razors in years, I heard the dollar razor club (or something like that) was decimating the razor market, also old-school razors are making a big comeback since its much more environmentally friendly. If i were to shave againn I think I'd use an old-style blade, theres something aluring and manly about them
