Hey guys,

As most of you know i did pretty shitty in live cashgames when i got here.

im re-dedicating myself to online poker and studying a lot more than i've been in the past couple months.

going to be playing some live mtts like the wynn 565, mostly making this blog just so when i load LP its a constant reminder to myself, but yeah, back to Bovada.

Was at the venetian last night with my roomie, she wanted to play 1/2 plo,i sat and watched that game for about 2 hours, probably the softest game i've ever seen. If I ever play live again its gonna be PLOlol, NLHE is so fcking nitty lol, there were like 3 regs at the table, was such a juicy game.

hrm, so whts comin up is EDC this weekend, I may or may not go, not sure, want to grind a lot, took like 4 days off and just did 2 mtts yesterday so i really need to be working a lot so I can do lots of live MTTs in July.

Back grinding online put 300 on takin it back up to the moon.

Good Luck,
Ryan!

if you can't beat live cash game there's literally no hope for you, at all

Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

lol fayth i do very well with online cash + online mtt + live mtt

i don't care to play live cash, im sure thats most of the problem, i haven't sat live cash more than once a year in the last 5-6 years.

i was playing live cash on like a 3k br man, every decision was really stressful to me, i don't think i failed livecash for life lol, i just know i had a fail attempt at live cash.

my graphs are great and im very happy and content with online poker + live mtt's.

live cash is not for everyone and im one of those guys.

i cant dumb myself down to lvl 1-3 thinking, my brain just thinks too much, thats what the main concensis is in vegas about my live cash. if i can adjust my brain to play just a lvl ahead of my opponents illbe fine, but i keep doing stuff that just doesnt fly in 1/2 and well losing like $800 AKss flips sucks too haha

but hey, i prefer to be home online anyways, and im just here for the weather good positive people and live mtts where i see myself hitting big sooner or later

everyone has there own opinion, i crushed live cash til like 2009, i just havent played live cash since I turned into a MTTer, and when I go play it, i do dominate when its 5-7 handed, but seems just not the best 8-10 handed player which is mostly live cash.

its not like hard, and for you to say that is hilarious, because im just not comfortable at live cash right now.

i do just fine online + with live mtts everywhere its just a big bonus imo.

i know this seems defensive, but why the hell would i care to play live cash. its so fcking slow i need way more action than that 1 table, i get bored really, really fast @ live cash.

i do fully believe after a year in this city no live cg will be a bother, but i think having 10-25k is pretty important to playing live cash correctly, i get way to stressed because its more life decisions for me until my br is large enough to handle the swings that are just bigger and last longer than im used to for the last 5-6 years. gl!

im a natorious 24 tabler, adjusting to 1 is mind numbingly boring for me.

if if an mtt i focus well if first is decent, but idk, live cg i could care less.

Bit of a contradiction when you say you can't bring yourself down to level 1-3 thinking and complain about losing a flip in the same sentence...

Dude, stick to fucking live cash, you just have some adjusting to do to get used to it. It doesnt matter how boring it is when you're making 15BB/100 or more. $3000 is plenty for a live roll if you're starting at 1/3 or even 2/5 for that matter. It's not like online where you're going to bust 4 buyins in a session, since an online session might equal 1000 hands whereas a live session will be like 100-200. If you're losing a buyin every session then your winrate would have to be like -60BB/100 which is so insanely off the chart you must be doing something wrong. As far as the boredom factor goes, make it fun. Talk to people, joke with them. Bring a phone and surf the web. Order food and drinks at the table, look at hot chicks. There's plenty to do live.

If you're going to include online as part of your regimen then MTT's is where it should be right? I dont play tourneys but dont you need to get in like 100's of those to make any wins at all? How are you going to grind live tourney's when you can only play like 1 per day? Talk about boring, you're still gonna be stuck for hours at the table. I played 2 small tourneys at Aria and it was boring as fuck, especially when you reach a pivotal stage like short stack where you cant do much. At least at cash tables you can just top off and resume your normal play style.

I fired up Bovada the other day and just ran my HUD to datamine a little bit and see how the action was. Bovada is tighter than it has ever been. From NL50-NL400 the avg player was running a pretty legit 20/18 game. There was 1 fish at every 6 max table running like 40/0 but that's all that's left of the profit. I'm sure a good online grinder can make that work, but fuck you can play live and there's like 7 people running either 0 PFR or like 90 vpip. What's the point in even living in Vegas if you arent going to play live?

tough shit

if you want to beat cash games you generally have to be a nit.

noone cares how many tables you play online. it's not the same thing.

bigredhoss no, i just have trouble adjusting to SUCH a nitty game.

nolan i dont even care to touch live cashgames ever again, the last 10 years of my life has been exclusively online mtts and online 6max. i'm not fucking with that formula. I did and it fucked me up bigtime, going back to what works for me.

trax, you have good points, but i fucking hate live poker (unless its a tourney with a nice first place), obv you are extremely partial to it, my friend John loves it too. Its not for everyone. I don't enjoy it at all.

i would expect you guys to understand going from mass tabling to 1 tabling for the first time in 6 years isn't the easiest experience in the world.

anyways im going to bed goodluck gnite lp

Ryan Neilly   United States. Jun 19 2015 06:05. Posts 1631

trax, there are a lot of regs at 50+, the major trick is to just stay on 40%+ tables and leave when the fish busts and keep 4 tables going theres always atleast 1-2 fish per table, very very rarely i run into a regfilled table. when that happens i just leave in 5 hands.

Ryan Neilly   United States. Jun 19 2015 06:05. Posts 1631

about 75% reg 25% fish ratio at nl50

Ryan Neilly   United States. Jun 19 2015 06:06. Posts 1631

you can def find tables of 3-5 fish at different times though, it happens quite often actually.

Ryan Neilly   United States. Jun 19 2015 06:08. Posts 1631

4TM, i complain about that flip cuz that one really sticks out, but in general I'm playing way too much like online and not correctly enough live it seems.

I don't even care about live at all anymore other than MTTs which I ENJOY and love live.

online cashgames are just relaxing and a way to print the monies, i don't enjoy live cash, would you do something if u didn't enjoy it? would you pursue going after it with your life if u don't like it?

i know i won't.

i know my niches. my niches are 6max cashgames online and mtts. why would i have to explain myself lol...

Sounds like you should throw some money on wsop.com and gogo. I haven't played a single hand of live cash so far during the series because of how good the 6m NL games are. Plus you get rakeback.

edit: If that's not enough there is also a 1k reload bonus.

Ryan Neilly   United States. Jun 19 2015 08:56. Posts 1631

sounds pretty sweet getting rakeback etc 4tm, do you need a special link or is it just in there?

4TM   United States. Jun 19 2015 09:40. Posts 712

Rakeback is automatic and goes up based on your tier. Can add it to BR at any time. For reload bonus you need promo code which is on website somewhere.
