And to the notion that Rockhold might be better than Weidman, which I think is nonsense (the only thing he does tangibly better is probably cardio and his submission-style top-game), it doesn't even matter. Rockhold would maul this upcoming version of Vitor for one thing.

Rockhold isn't a fantastic offensive pressure fighter or offensive wrestler, he's a distance striker who uses kicks very well. Completely different style matchup, Weidman is going to pressure Vitor until he overcommits on a counter, duck under, take him down, and big brother him to a stoppage. If Vitor doesn't aggressively counter, he'll find himself in the clinch getting ragdolled and raped.

I'll give Vitor props if he can even last the distance in* a lopsided loss.

If anyone wants some undercard value, I can an officially stamp on Scoggins > Sampo as a lock where only a fluke will stop a big Scoggins win.

This kid is a straight blue-chip prospect who could already be getting pushed to a title shot had it not been for a very close split-decision loss to a fantastic wrestler and top 10 guy in Dustin Ortiz and an absolute collapse of a guillotine loss to #5 John Moraga (who is way over-ranked due to this and bullshit SD win over Ortiz) after he absolutely out-struck him comfortably the first round and took him down at will.

He has a fantastic blend of fast hands, quick feet with a karate/taekwondo blend, an amazing offensive clinch game, great wrestling, great subs, tricky footwork, and cardio for days.

Sampo's only chance (he doesn't have any knockouts) will be to land some weird scramble type submissions and Scoggins should be extremely weary of this kind of thing thanks to his last fight (The Moraga loss).

Scoggins is already probably a top 5-ish flyweight and has one of the higher ceilings in the division. They are giving him Sampo for a reason.

Belfort isnt the stpuid agressive 1-2-1-2 punching machine he was before, he has developed into a much more patient counterstriker he is not going to run into Weidmans takedowns, watch his fight against Rich Franklin and thats how he will probably try to fight.

Im not saying his odds are good or bad or anything im just saying to not expect him to move forward a lot

Basically this. He was never a pressure fighter. He basically chills at range, circles, and waits for a good time to blitz you or kick you in the head. But he doesn't really over do the blitz these days.

But Weidman will out strike him and take him down anyways. But Vitor is basically the best puncher chance in MMA. He can KO anyone in that first round just about.

I think Weidman and Rockhold are on the same level, I think the fight will be amazing.

I'll be betting o1.5 rounds @ +105. Browne picks his spots and isn't a volume striker. Arlovski is very good at avoiding damage these days, which also means his fights are more boring cuz he doesn't engage as much as he used to. Also, there's no heat between the two, as they are former training partners, and Browne said in recent interviews that he is still friends with Arlovski.

From what I've seen, most people betting the total for this fight think it'll end u1.5 rounds.

I'm taking the over as well. I like the bet.

Duno, I find it hard to cheer against Weidman after seeing him play SC2 on one of his pre-ASilva videos :D

In 187 OOC test results I've seen, all clean, one interesting thing is Belfort's testosterone level was actually higher than Weidman's.

On 3/16, @vitorbelfort had 12 ng/mL t-level and 1.7 T/E ratio. On 4/28, he had 5 ng/mL and 1.5.

12 = 1200 and 5 = 500 obv

Vitor Belfort is obviously still cheating, just less blatantly. There is ABSOLUTELY no way a 37 year old man who was roided to the gills and popped hot twice and THEN was on TRT for years now has higher testosterone levels than Weidman.

I understand that everyone's baseline is different but that's just absurd. Why would he ever be prescribed TRT in the first place if his normal levels were high, makes zero sense.

I'm no doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express Last night.

Either way, Weidman destroys this clown.

I really like that. I'm still considering Arlovski ML but I definitely like the O1.5 more, I think its great.

I wish I had more time to think about some of the other fights a bit more. So far I have,
Cormier ML (which I like)
Weidman ML (I'm not sure about this again, just watched a Vitor Belfort highlight video, and the odds are meh)
Arlovski O1.5 (really like this)

Considering
Arlovski ML (tough decision)
Cerrone ML (need to look at Makdessi a bit more to make sure hes drawing very dead)
