If you are going to bet Overeem you might just bet for a decision, he has been extremely tentative in his striking lately and with his new found cardio, and need to land wins theres no way he will risk eating Nelsons overhand right.
Im puzzled about Jackson idea about rebuilding Overeem he probably figured his power tank approach was too exploitable nowadays with his crystal chin and saw too much technical ability wasted in punching power
It's weird how mediocre his MMA striking is. I mean not even just defense and chin, but offense as well. I mean he couldn't finish Mir or Bigfoot on the feet. He throws like one punch at a time always now and is super tentative.
Weird thing though is, he's been in the two best guards in the HW division for extended amounts of time and was never even remotely in trouble. He was in Mir & Werdums guard longer than anyone just about. His grappling is super good, and he can basically out grapple anyone in the division minus a couple of guys with great TDD like Cain, JDS, Stipe, and maybe Browne. Everyone else he should be able to toss and grind out a 3 round decision or get a TKO/Sub.
Well finishing BigFoot is not an easy task, rmember Hunt couldnt do it either and actually Reem was on his way to do it, and against Mir it was the scared "new" Reem that seem to suck even worse but I have faith in Jackson and hopefully he is taking Reem somewhere.
Dunno, Cormier, Cain twice, Pele, and Arlovski all treated him like a bitch in the stand up and ko'd him in like 2 minutes or less. I expect someone like Reem to do the same but he couldn't.
Bigfoot was juiced to the gills against Hunto, so maybe that played a part in that. Hunto actually didn't hit him much in the first few rounds when he was fresh IIRC. Bigfoot was mostly out boxing him.
Reem was demolishing BigFoot before he gassed and got caught, in fact he was almost bragging and the technical gap was very noticeable.
Dont get me wrong Im not saying he is great or anything it has been more than established that he sucks balls, but he should be very good on paper, he has elite level striking, very decent grappling and a lot of experience but somehow he doesnt perform well, I dont understand why, Id love somebody like JackSlack to go deep into why he does worse than he should

he didn't look that bad, considering he s kind of huge for the weight class
the over hype they put @ McGregor kind of annoys me and makes me laugh at the same time, like they dared to imply a comparison to Mohamed Ali & Tyson @ main event intro there ... are you fucking kidding me ?
tbh would love to see an upset

weird Q&A with aldo everyone considering McGregor already won vs Siver
kinda disrespectful
ufc is riding on McGregor's dick atm
I m sure he ll get title fight either way
there s def something the UFC wants to accomplish in Ireland though, they were trying to hype Cathal during TUF for some reason as if he was a beast, and they were trying to hype the irish chick during last season of TUF as well

I took Cerrone, that was all. I don't think that was super profitable either at +118. I watched their first fight and if the first was that close, Benson slightly improved since then, Cerrone had very major improvements.
Not happy with my odds at all.... if i would have done this a couple days ago it would probably have paid closer to 300... but i still have faith in the picks.

Sick fight between O'Connell and Van Buren. Lost my bet, but it was entertaining.
