What's up men and women.

Anyone can do a new year's resolution. To end the year with a bang, and to start off 2015 with a huge confidence boost. I will be doing the following, THIS YEAR from now to the end of it:

1) No booze. Yeah no alcohol whatsoever. I will go out with friends, I will spend time with haters (AKA family). But I will not touch a drop of alcohol in the process.

2) Excercise Session 7x per week - A session means at least an hour of excercise. Gym, Jogging, Home workout, Street workout, Floorball - everything counts. I am allowed to do 2 phase per day, swap e.g. morning cardio evening gym to allow for rest days.

3) 6hours of poker per day on average - self explanatory. Today after 17:00when I started included my target is 120 hours of poker between now and december 31st 12:00. No table or stake limit really although I won't play less than 4. Cash games only, tournaments don't count towards this.

bonus: no dirty movies of any kind

All this while spending at least 3 days with family. It Might mean I won't go out on New Year's Eve if I'm a pussy and don't end reasonably early.
My gym is open literally every day over the holidays so it won't force me to run in the snow or anything

If I manage this, 2015 resolutions will actually have a substance behind them, as I will know I have the discipline to do anything.


NO nutrition goals because Christmas. But I will eat healthy pretty much porridge breakfasts, BCAAs, eggs, tuna, vegetables. will eat some pasta and rice for cheap carbs, if I eat crap and don't get proper sleep I pretty much have 0 chance of completing it. I am allowed caffeine during this time.

Thoughts? I have a cold now, lasting some 3 months so it'll make it a proper tough challenge

I'm giving you 1:1 fun bet odds on this, max bet $20 per person. shipped @Stars at the end of the challenge. Just to keep it fun
spreadsheet will be updated, you can ask for a screen at any time.
PT4 sessions will be shown at the end to show hours.
I will record workouts to spreadsheet - basically will have to go by trust? can't think of any hard evidence. why I take max $20 so I don't have incentives to cheat.

I will make a spreadsheet for bettors you can ask for screen every day. Max bet $20 per person rly, dont want large money as dont want escrow and all that jazz, and dont want incentives to cheat, take it easy in the gym etc test of willpower not greed altho prob bets are always fun

Currently on day 20+ of no fap I've lost count but not doing it related to high testosterone. I've heard once every 8 days is optimal for high testosterone after a few weeks it balances out.

higher sex drive = higher testosterone. when my testosterone is peaking (8 eggs/day, lifting 5x/week, sleeping well) i am fapping twice a day. forget this no fap nonsense.

the rest of the goals are great.

edit: i have read that a study found there is a 50% jump in testosterone between day 7 and 8, but before and after it is normal or lower. so maybe if you have a fight in exactly 7 days you should stop fapping, but otherwise i would not refrain from the noods.

there's a lot i could write about this, but essentially more cholesterol = more testosterone. its likely a bad idea for overweight or sedentary people, but for active and fit people, consuming 4-5x the suggested daily amount of cholesterol is going to be a boost to testosterone without adverse effects. the way i see it, all an egg yolk needs is some sperm and heat to become a living chicken. it has basically all of the nutrients necessary for the birth of a mammal.

i do think there are some long term drawbacks to a high cholesterol high testosterone diet, and i dont mean heart disease. take this with a grain of salt because there didnt seem to be conclusive evidence, but ive read that high calorie diets and higher testosterone shorten lifespan. something to do with shortening telomere length or decreasing time between cell divisions, and since cells have a finite number of divisions before ceasing mitosis, lifespan is shorter.

that said, i think having a slightly higher calorie count, leading an active lifestyle, and eating nutrient rich food is overall a good thing, and im not too worried about shortening telomere length, i assume that if AI doesnt enslave our species that we will have the technology to live many hundreds of years by the time our generation is 60 years old.

ya i read the study you are referring to although it was never tested on humans because it was very unethical. but almost all mammals deprived of food and on a diet of 50% of normal calories lived longer.

i think telomeres are still really misunderstood and is just a guess as to why humans age. people always mention the shortenings of chromosomes/dna but still, what makes our bodies age? how exactly does puberty work? our dna is the same from birth to young adulthood and the dmg done to telomeres aren't pronounced till 60. and even then telomeres is junk, nonessential dna anyway
