why is mirana used so much in dota 2?

She is popular because she is a very versatile hero. You can pick her early in draft and can basically put her in any position or lane. She can be a hard carry, solo mid, support, offlane. Anything can work. So it makes your draft flexible. Her ult is very strong as well esp at high level. Forces opponents to spend gold on sentries to prevent her ult gangs etc. Its a psychological advantage too, having to always think about her invis ulti.

^ yea im askin because in hon she isnt used nearly as much as she was in the past. curious why specifically she is much better in dota2 than in hon

couple months ago she just got really popular and teams like EG popularized her and everyone just started copying them. Trends happen alot on Dota.

i dunno man, i'm a huge n0tail fan as well since hon and before this TI i also thought h4nn1 wasn't on the same level (i think Fly isn't as well)
but after this TI i felt h4nn1 played really good, Era and Trixi did ok and the ones that played bad were n0tail and Fly

iono man, i used to watch era stream in hon first person for like hours. i watched like 10 games in person for his dota2 performance and it really seemed like he was half the player he was in hon. he wasn't checking the map as actively as he used to, and it felt like they gave n0tail a lot of different heroes that he wasn't expecting to compensate for the team issues i guess. or maybe they had n0tail mid LD, alchemist as a plan all along. btw i forget which one but either zai or ppd played with era on FIRE if i recall correctly.

there are so many death ball compositions without a traditional "carry" and with razer who feels more like an "anti carry". just static link the enemy carry and all the sudden its like dooming the enemy carry and having yours output tons of dmg. surround with enigma ult or other various cc like levi ult or brewmaster ftw.

that last fnatic game, i was yelling and banging on my desk everytime they landed a pudge hook lmao. my roommate came in and was like yea u watching the world cup bro?

apparently hes the counter to lycan mid which has been first pick/ban material as recently as a week ago and through alot of the first day of ti4
btw its nice to see a team like mouz try and push what we think about dota2 strats and actually deal with the lycan/doom abuse vs banning it out. im sad to see them go
