Stick a fork in the Nets... All that time wasted via the rebounds just killed any chance the Nets had. |

Close call at the end...
I had o207 in my "Streak Contest" pick on Bookmaker, so I was sweating the end. I had to buy out of my Portland +15.5 with San Antonio -13.5 once Portland had their final brain fart of the game. |

Not that I'm betting any of the remaining series but, I noticed the following lines if any of you liked either side:
Wizards series -120
Pacers series +100
Clippers series -107
Thunder series -112 |

Probably call that hedging out. Buying out would be literally paying to get out of the bet. What you are doing is making a second bet to neutralize the first one. |

Yes, there's hedging and buying out. I completely bought out of my Portland +15.5 bet, as they started playing like crap again and I was still able to get San Antonio at -13.5. It worked out in the end as the Spurs won by 17 or something like that. I had like $15 profit from playing the 1st half total, but didn't make any other money in the 2nd half cuz I had to buy out of my bet.
----------
I'm not betting/watching any of the games today but, I picked LAC/OKC to go u214½ in the streak contest on Bookmaker, so that's all I have for today. UFC is tomorrow, so I'll be looking forward to that. |

That's not "buying out" fyi, that's placing a new bet which reduces your variance but makes you even more -EV on the game.
it's not like you can simply 'buy out' when your bet is going bad
sure if someone is a skilled sports better than can find edges but you're basically putting a very -EV live bet out to try and neutralize a smaller -EV pre-game bet...ur basically just paying alot of vig lol
if only betting sports was as easy as 'buying out' when you're losing lol |

Whatever suits your definition I guess.
I paid $20 + $2 juice for my initial bet, then made a $22 bet + whatever the juice was. Since the latter bet won, I ended up back at zero. |

when you 'buy out' like that you're paying extra vig and losing equity (every bet you make is -EV)
you're paying a small tax to reduce variance |

Tempted to bet Thunder tonight getting 4.5
Haralabos tweeted out something that made perfect sense. iirc, he said the key to the whole series is that RWB continually goes right at CP3 offensively. If you can get CP3 in foul trouble, then the Clips don't have a chance |

Lol yeah, fail
His tweet had nothing to do with me liking OKC tonight or for the series though. Thunder are just a way superior team imo |
